How does the CEO of Take-Two feel about the lengthy wait for GTA 6? It doesn't sound like he's sweating it too much.Strauss Zelnick told The Game Business that 15 years ago, some of the kind of content that GTA Online delivers on a regular basis would have "counted as a standalone title." Today, the executive said, a person could make the case that "Rockstar has been putting out a new Grand Theft Auto release a couple of times a year."GTA Online gets weekly updates, but Zelnick is likely referring to the the biggest ones that have added new story content and big new heists. Rockstar apparently originally planned even more expansions for GTA Online, including a James Bond-like DLC focused on Trevor.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Star Wars season has proven to be a pretty dramatic change of pace for Fortnite's battle royale mode, but this week's big update has introduced a massive surprise: an AI-powered Darth Vader NPC who will fight alongside your squad and actually talk to you and answer your questions in the voice of the late James Earl Jones. It's just a little novelty that won't likely affect how you play at all, but it's unusually amusing for that sort of thing, since this Darth Vader-themed chatbot's delivery is spot-on. It's not any smarter than any other chatbot, since it can't track a conversation very well, but if you want to listen to Darth Vader say a bunch of stuff--not all of it kid-friendly--while you're playing Fortnite, he's good to have around. The big question, of course, is how do you find and talk to him? The AI Darth Vader NPC has replaced the Darth Vader Samurai boss NPC that had been hanging out at Vader Samurai's Solitude, but that location is only one of three possible spawn points for Darth Vader each match. Just as it was when Darth Vader first invaded the island three years ago, his location is randomized at the start of each match.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

The Switch 2 launch lineup is not exactly bursting at the seams. While Mario Kart World is the banner game, the handful of others coming on June 5 are mostly ports of existing games. Among those, Bravely Default is an oddball, as it's an HD remaster of a game that's more than a decade old rather than a modern game like Street Fighter 6 or Cyberpunk 2077 that can finally run on Nintendo hardware. But for my money, Bravely Default is also an all-time RPG classic, and as strange as it feels to be nostalgic for the 3DS era of games, Switch 2's Bravely Default: Flying Fairy HD Remaster looks to be a great way to play it.For those unfamiliar, Bravely Default was a riff on the classic Final Fantasy formula, making it FF in all but name. Four warriors of light, holy crystals, the whole enchilada. It sported a robust class system that encouraged players to find game-breaking combinations, and it was one of the first to sport the ability to speed up encounters and auto-battle--both now mainstays in classic RPG remakes--or even turn them off entirely. The title referred to one of its battle mechanics, the ability to "Default" (defend and store an extra Brave Point aka BP) or "Brave" (spend extra BP, or even go into BP debt, to take extra actions). So for level-grinding, you could Brave every time to burn through low-level enemies, and against tougher enemies and bosses you would need to take a more considered approach. It was followed by the semi-sequel, Bravely Second: End Layer, and a full sequel, Bravely Second. Notably unlike the Final Fantasy series, the Bravely games take place in one consistent canonical world, so the sequels build on the stories and continuity that came before them.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Once there, select which Joy-Con you've misplaced, and the device will vibrate and make a ringing sound until you've retrieved it.Switch 2 has a ‘Search for Controllers’ feature to locate Joy-Con 2 controllers. The controller you are looking for will vibrate and make a sound. pic.twitter.com/FLNF1XoXL6 — Stealth (@Stealth40k) May 16, 2025 Nintendo Today has provided numerous updates about the Nintendo Switch 2 since the Switch 2 Direct in early April, including more information on the customizable GL and GR buttons for the Switch 2's Pro Controller, as well as the binoculars found around the map in Mario Kart World. Just a little more than a year after releasing Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile, Activision is ending its support for the game, which includes removing it from the Apple App Store and Google Play stores.Activision made the announcement with a written statement on X (formerly Twitter). "Going forward, we will be streamlining the scope of the game," Activision wrote. May 18 is the last day the game will be available for download from Apple and Google's stores, and Activision has ended the ability of players to purchase Call of Duty points or Black Cell in the game "effective immediately." Social features are also being retired. However, Activision said servers will still be available for players who have already downloaded the game--in essence, while you can't download Warzone Mobile after this weekend or buy anything in it, you'll still be able to play. Activision didn't say if or when servers for Warzone Mobile would be shut down.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Outside of this card, the only other option that's currently in stock is SanDisk's microSD Express Card in 128GB ($50) and 256GB ($72) capacities.Where to preorder Samsung's microSD Express Card for Switch 2 (Updated: May 16)Target -- In stockBest Buy -- In stockWalmart -- Sold outGameStop -- In stockThe Nintendo Switch 2 offers a fairly massive upgrade when it comes to raw storage space. The 256GB onboard SSD is four times larger than the Switch OLED (64GB) and eight times the size of the original Switch and Switch Lite (32GB). There are many reasons why you might need an infinite water source in Minecraft. Maybe you just want the convenience of having water nearby if you've built a base far away from the water. Perhaps you're in a Minecraft server with challenges such as Skyblock, and need to have additional water with limited space. Whatever your need for infinite water, we've got you covered, and even have a solution for infinite water using just one water block.Minecraft water can be found everywhere, but you might not always have it close byHow to get infinite waterThe first guaranteed way to get infinite water in Minecraft is to place two source blocks of water in a 2x2 grid at diagonal corners. This way, you only need four blocks total, as the other two diagonals will convert to source blocks. To add the water, simply craft two buckets and collect it from a nearby river, ocean, or lake. The next, slightly more complicated way, but that only requires one source block, is to dig a T-shaped hole and put one block elevated higher than ground level at the top of the T, resulting in a cross shape. Then, add a water source to the side of the elevated block so that it flows down and fills the dug-out shape.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Red Dead Redemption is celebrating its 15-year anniversary today, May 18, 2025. Below, we look back at the western in the context of its cinematic inspirations.Stories about the American West, just like stories about knights or ninjas or other iconic figures, are not a monolith. There are stories fantastical and grounded, silly and serious, traditional and rebellious. Red Dead Redemption is a spaghetti Western in the same lineage as so many of Sergio Leone's movies, like A Fistful of Dollars and The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. Even among other open-world games and the other games in its own series, Red Dead Redemption is a singular experience. It delivers on the fantasy of playing a legendary gunslinger in a grimy American West. And there will never be another game quite like it.A Look Back at the Red Dead TrilogyThe Red Dead games are a trilogy, though we rarely think of the first entry, Red Dead Revolver. All three games in the series are wildly different takes on the Western; even though the most recent two have consistent characters and a chronology to them, they could hardly be more different in presentation, tone, and style.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Monkey Palace Lego Strategy Board Game $19.11 (was $40) See at Amazon ($19) See at Walmart ($35) See at Target ($40) See at Lego Store ($40) Monkey Palace, an officially licensed Lego board game, is discounted to its lowest price yet at Amazon. For a limited time, you can pick up the family-friendly strategy game for only $19.11, which is over 50% off its $40 list price. Monkey Palace is a fun experience that turns the act of piecing together Lego bricks into a fast-paced and varied strategy game for 2-4 players. As with many of Amazon's deals, the Monkey Palace discount doesn't have an end date listed, so it could disappear at any time. Created by Bezzerwizzer in collaboration with Lego, Monkey Palace released last October and still frequently sells for its full $40 MSRP at most retailers. At the moment, Walmart has it for $35, while Target and the Lego Store are selling the game for $40. Since we often times see price-matching on board games at major retailers, it's a bit surprising that Amazon is selling Monkey Palace for such a low price.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Red Dead Redemption is celebrating its 15-year anniversary today, May 18, 2025. Below, we consider that it may be better at showing than telling. As a rule, Westerns are sincere. Sure, there are outright farces like Blazing Saddles. Plenty of classic Westerns like Rio Bravo have a warm, comedic side. Even dark epics like the Searchers have moments of levity. But even when they are funny, Westerns play their archetypes straight. They are easy to make fun of because they are so unfeigned. In this context, Red Dead Redemption struggles to find its place. It imports Grand Theft Auto's satire into a bare and somber world. In many moments, protagonist John Marston is the only voice of reason among cliches and caricatures. When Red Dead Redemption talks, it is often cheap and unserious. When it shuts up, it manages a real poetry, thanks to its austere landscapes and unpretentious world.First, let's dig into its writing. RDR is a sunset Western, set in the waning days of Western expansion. Marston is a man out of time: a cowboy criminal in a world that wants to kill him (and will). Marston is foolish. He hunts down his former compatriots on the behest of the US government, because he hopes they will keep his promise to return his family to him and leave him alone. He is wrong. The killings he undertakes swing back on him and his family alike.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Super Mario Bros. 1993 Movie - 30th Anniversary Edition (4K Blu-ray) $56 | Limited to 3,000 units See at Amazon Super Mario Bros. 1993 Movie - 30th Anniversary Edition (Blu-ray) $45 - 30% discount (if eligible) | Limited to 1,500 units See at Amazon The 30th Anniversary Edition of Super Mario Bros. is up for grabs at Amazon. Released in 2024 by Umbrella Entertainment, this commemorative edition includes a 4K remaster of the infamous 1993 live-action film. The two-disc set also comes with a newly restored alternative cut of the film as well as a bevy of fresh bonus content. It's a bit surprising to see the 30th Anniversary Edition in stock at Amazon, as it sold out alongside the pricier collector's editions last year. Plus, the 4K Blu-ray release was limited to 3,000 units, and the 1080p Blu-ray was limited to only 1,500 units. Both versions are shipped and sold by Amazon and include a numbered slip cover. The 4K remaster is available for $56, and the 1080p remaster is $45. If you live in the Midwest or a different qualifying region, you might see a 30% coupon on Amazon's listing that will drop the price to only $31.50 at checkout. Note: Umbrella Entertainment is an Australian distributor, but the 30th Anniversary Edition is a region-free release, so the discs play on US Blu-ray players. The 30th Anniversary Edition being in stock at Amazon is probably partially related to its poor visibility. It's easy to miss it due to the many different Blu-ray listings for the movie on Amazon. The most popular Amazon store page for Super Mario Bros. has over 8,000 reviews and includes a listing for the 30th Anniversary Edition on 4K, but it sold out a long time ago. In comparison, the store page where you can buy it only has 58 customer reviews and has at least partially been buried due to incorrect labeling.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

After launching in South Korea, China, and Taiwan back in April 2024, Persona 5: The Phantom X finally has a worldwide release date. The Persona 5 spin-off hits PC and mobile devices on June 26, 2025, and brings with it even more of the series' stylish turn-based combat and an entirely new cast of Phantom Thieves.Developed as a collaboration between Atlus' P-Studio and Chinese developer Black Wing Games, Persona 5: The Phantom X is a mobile-focused title that sends players back to the world of Persona 5, albeit as a new character and under slightly different circumstances. In it, players control Wonder, a second-year high school student at Kokatsu Academy whose worldview is shifted upon meeting a mysterious owl-like creature named Lufel. After some good old-fashioned exposition, the duo eventually set off on quest to recruit a new cast of Phantom Thieves, their ultimate goal being to restore the concept of desire back to humanity and put a stop to the mysterious force hellbent on taking it away. What ensues is a continuously-expanding, live-service adventure filled with much of the same turn-based combat, social simulation, and time management elements found in mainline Persona titles. Players will get the chance to explore new dungeons and areas of Mementos, take on part-time jobs and join after-school clubs, strengthen their Personas, raise Wonder's social stats, and form relationships all while experiencing an original story. Players can also expect fan-favorite Persona characters--like Joker, Ann, Ryuji, and the rest of the original Phantom Thieves--to make appearances in the game via special contracts. Lastly, the Phantom X also introduces new elements to the series, including the PvE-focused Velvet Trials, mini-games, and the ability to create and join Guilds.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
