Monkey Palace Lego Strategy Board Game $19.11 (was $40) See at Amazon ($19) See at Walmart ($35) See at Target ($40) See at Lego Store ($40) Monkey Palace, an officially licensed Lego board game, is discounted to its lowest price yet at Amazon. For a limited time, you can pick up the family-friendly strategy game for only $19.11, which is over 50% off its $40 list price. Monkey Palace is a fun experience that turns the act of piecing together Lego bricks into a fast-paced and varied strategy game for 2-4 players. As with many of Amazon's deals, the Monkey Palace discount doesn't have an end date listed, so it could disappear at any time. Created by Bezzerwizzer in collaboration with Lego, Monkey Palace released last October and still frequently sells for its full $40 MSRP at most retailers. At the moment, Walmart has it for $35, while Target and the Lego Store are selling the game for $40. Since we often times see price-matching on board games at major retailers, it's a bit surprising that Amazon is selling Monkey Palace for such a low price.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Red Dead Redemption is celebrating its 15-year anniversary today, May 18, 2025. Below, we consider that it may be better at showing than telling. As a rule, Westerns are sincere. Sure, there are outright farces like Blazing Saddles. Plenty of classic Westerns like Rio Bravo have a warm, comedic side. Even dark epics like the Searchers have moments of levity. But even when they are funny, Westerns play their archetypes straight. They are easy to make fun of because they are so unfeigned. In this context, Red Dead Redemption struggles to find its place. It imports Grand Theft Auto's satire into a bare and somber world. In many moments, protagonist John Marston is the only voice of reason among cliches and caricatures. When Red Dead Redemption talks, it is often cheap and unserious. When it shuts up, it manages a real poetry, thanks to its austere landscapes and unpretentious world.First, let's dig into its writing. RDR is a sunset Western, set in the waning days of Western expansion. Marston is a man out of time: a cowboy criminal in a world that wants to kill him (and will). Marston is foolish. He hunts down his former compatriots on the behest of the US government, because he hopes they will keep his promise to return his family to him and leave him alone. He is wrong. The killings he undertakes swing back on him and his family alike.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Super Mario Bros. 1993 Movie - 30th Anniversary Edition (4K Blu-ray) $56 | Limited to 3,000 units See at Amazon Super Mario Bros. 1993 Movie - 30th Anniversary Edition (Blu-ray) $45 - 30% discount (if eligible) | Limited to 1,500 units See at Amazon The 30th Anniversary Edition of Super Mario Bros. is up for grabs at Amazon. Released in 2024 by Umbrella Entertainment, this commemorative edition includes a 4K remaster of the infamous 1993 live-action film. The two-disc set also comes with a newly restored alternative cut of the film as well as a bevy of fresh bonus content. It's a bit surprising to see the 30th Anniversary Edition in stock at Amazon, as it sold out alongside the pricier collector's editions last year. Plus, the 4K Blu-ray release was limited to 3,000 units, and the 1080p Blu-ray was limited to only 1,500 units. Both versions are shipped and sold by Amazon and include a numbered slip cover. The 4K remaster is available for $56, and the 1080p remaster is $45. If you live in the Midwest or a different qualifying region, you might see a 30% coupon on Amazon's listing that will drop the price to only $31.50 at checkout. Note: Umbrella Entertainment is an Australian distributor, but the 30th Anniversary Edition is a region-free release, so the discs play on US Blu-ray players. The 30th Anniversary Edition being in stock at Amazon is probably partially related to its poor visibility. It's easy to miss it due to the many different Blu-ray listings for the movie on Amazon. The most popular Amazon store page for Super Mario Bros. has over 8,000 reviews and includes a listing for the 30th Anniversary Edition on 4K, but it sold out a long time ago. In comparison, the store page where you can buy it only has 58 customer reviews and has at least partially been buried due to incorrect labeling.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

After launching in South Korea, China, and Taiwan back in April 2024, Persona 5: The Phantom X finally has a worldwide release date. The Persona 5 spin-off hits PC and mobile devices on June 26, 2025, and brings with it even more of the series' stylish turn-based combat and an entirely new cast of Phantom Thieves.Developed as a collaboration between Atlus' P-Studio and Chinese developer Black Wing Games, Persona 5: The Phantom X is a mobile-focused title that sends players back to the world of Persona 5, albeit as a new character and under slightly different circumstances. In it, players control Wonder, a second-year high school student at Kokatsu Academy whose worldview is shifted upon meeting a mysterious owl-like creature named Lufel. After some good old-fashioned exposition, the duo eventually set off on quest to recruit a new cast of Phantom Thieves, their ultimate goal being to restore the concept of desire back to humanity and put a stop to the mysterious force hellbent on taking it away. What ensues is a continuously-expanding, live-service adventure filled with much of the same turn-based combat, social simulation, and time management elements found in mainline Persona titles. Players will get the chance to explore new dungeons and areas of Mementos, take on part-time jobs and join after-school clubs, strengthen their Personas, raise Wonder's social stats, and form relationships all while experiencing an original story. Players can also expect fan-favorite Persona characters--like Joker, Ann, Ryuji, and the rest of the original Phantom Thieves--to make appearances in the game via special contracts. Lastly, the Phantom X also introduces new elements to the series, including the PvE-focused Velvet Trials, mini-games, and the ability to create and join Guilds.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

The Rambo Report $23.69 (was $29) See at Amazon When you think about iconic '80s action stars, there's a good chance that Rambo is at the top of the list. The five-film series starring the troubled war veteran still ranks as one of the most iconic cinematic franchises out there, and if you'd like to explore the cultural impact of the character, you can do just that with The Rambo Report. The 304-page hardcover book is written by film historian Nat Segaloff, and it includes a foreword by Rambo's creator, David Morrell. It's available now at Amazon, and even slightly discounted to just $23.69 (was $29). The Rambo Report $23.69 (was $29) Billed as the ultimate guide to Rambo, the book examines the entire franchise, starting with the 1972 novel First Blood that inspired the first Rambo film (and the differences between the two), and the sequels that rebooted the character into a one-man army--all the way up to the final (for now) entry, 2019's Rambo: Last Blood. The project also includes behind-the-scenes anecdotes, critiques about violence in the media, and a whole lot more. See at Amazon If you're interested in exploring Rambo's origins, Morrell's First Blood novel remains popular to this day, and you can easily pick up a copy if you want to read it for yourself. Amazon offers the paperback edition for $15.32 (was $19). Despite serving as the basis for the first Rambo film, the book features some major differences, making it worth reading even for fans who've seen Rambo: First Blood numerous times. Like the movie, First Blood focuses on a war veteran who is brutalized by the police chief of a small town and responds by waging a personal war against him and his officers. While the movie makes Rambo a much more sympathetic character who goes out of his way to minimize casualties--in the first movie, anyway--the book has a much higher body count. You can also get a good deal on the live-action Rambo movies. If you want to pick up multiple movies at once, Rambo: The Complete Collector's Set compiles the first four Rambo movies on Blu-ray for $26.25 (was $45). You can pick up the first three films with the Rambo Box Set for $13.71 (was $25) on standard Blu-ray, or a collector's edition of the first four movies for $26.25 (was $45). This version includes numerous featurettes focused on the production of the Rambo movies, audio commentary tracks, interviews, and the infamous alternate ending to First Blood. 4K editions of all five films--Rambo: First Blood, Rambo 2, Rambo 3, Rambo (2008), and Rambo: Last Blood--are also available, and there's a healthy mix of archival materials mixed with new bonus materials and sharper image and audio quality.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Nintendo fans looking for a way to pass the time while waiting for Mario Kart World should check out Lego's latest building set geared toward adults and collectors. Lego Mario Kart: Mario & Standard Kart launched today, May 15. Though surely not a coincidence, the timing of this wonderfully designed Mario Kart collectible really couldn't have been better. When the set was unveiled during Mario Day, Nintendo hadn't even officially announced Mario Kart World, let alone a release date, which we now know is June 5 alongside the Switch 2. With the franchise entering a bold new era of open-world racing, it's only fitting that the newest addition to Lego's small but mightily impressive lineup of Nintendo display model kits commemorates the iconic series in style. Lego Mario Kart: Mario & Standard Kart (1,972 Pieces) $170 | Released on May 15 The 1,972-piece Mario & Standard Kart costs $170 and is exclusive to the Lego Store at launch. Most of Lego's "black box" kits licensed by Nintendo have started their lifecycles as Lego Store exclusives before hitting major retailers several months later. Mario & Standard Kart is the seventh Nintendo Lego set designed for display. Though the black box means it carries an 18-plus age recommendation, like with the others before it, Mario & Standard Kart's age designation more so distinguishes it as one of the few Nintendo Lego sets mainly intended to be admired rather than played with like a toy.The new set expands the lineup of Lego Mario Kart sets to seven. The series was introduced at the start of 2025 with six playsets featuring smaller-scale karts and character builds accompanied by interactive accessories. If you have 2,500 Lego Insiders points, you can cash those in for an exclusive 234-piece Spiny Shell, which released alongside the Mario Kart display set. See at Lego Store Lego Mario Kart: Mario & Standard KartYounger builders who have put together any of the other Lego Nintendo display models, likely won't have any issues with this one. The same goes for builders who have experience with larger car builds from Lego's other themes such as Technic or F1. The scope is naturally larger due to the piece count, but the kart build isn't that much more complicated than the smaller Mario Kart builds or the soon-to-be retired Bowser Muscle Car.Mario & Standard Kart joins the Piranha Plant as the only Super Mario Lego sets that do not interact with the Mario, Luigi, and Peach figures from the starter playsets. Other display models for adults--NES, Question Block, Mighty Bowser, and Super Mario World: Mario & Yoshi--have Action Tags that create audio and visual reactions from the electronic figures. As someone who has built all of Lego's Nintendo display models, the interactivity with the figures has always felt like an Easter Egg to "find" once after building, not an essential part of the overall experience. Besides, a smaller version of Mario's Standard Kart with interactive elements was part of the Lego Mario Kart launch lineup, so it would feel redundant here.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Pokemon biology has been one of the great pseudosciences, with some fan books going into great detail on the ins and outs of some of your favorite Pokemon. Japan and Nintendo, however, have actually taken this a step further and created the Pokemon Fossil Exhibit. The exhibit featured sculpted Pokemon "skeletons" displayed alongside real dinosaur fossils, and has been traveling across Japan since its creation. The Pokemon Company has confirmed the exhibit is coming to North America in May 2026.The exhibit is heading to Chicago's Field Museum on May 22, 2026. It'll be the first time the exhibition will be seen outside of Japan. It is currently at Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum in Katsuyama, Fukui. Its next stop will be the Benex Dinosaur Museum in Nagasaki.Kabuto and Kabutops"During your visit, you'll see vibrant Pokemon models side by side with extinct lifeforms from the Field Museum's collection--including scientific casts of Field Museum dinosaurs like Sue the T. Rex and the Chicago Archaeopteryx next to Fossil Pokemon like Tyrantrum and Archeops," the museum said in a statement. Blue Protocol: Star Resonance is the anime MMORPG Blue Protocol brought back from the dead, only it's from a completely different development team and, unlike the original Blue Protocol, will actually be receiving a Western release later this year. You may remember Blue Protocol as a long-in-development MMO from Bandai Namco. The game was released in Japan in 2023, with a planned Western release in conjunction with Amazon Games planned for 2024.
