Obsidian isn't resting on its laurels, however, as the studio has released a full roadmap for the rest of 2025 that includes some juicy additions to the open-world adventure.The Spring update, Update 1.4, released today on Xbox and PC. It adds improvements to the map's fog of war mechanics, an Arachnophobia Safe Mode for players who hate spiders, and support for a mouse and keyboard control scheme on Xbox, among other things. Arrowhead Studios and PlayStation enjoyed a successful business relationship together for Helldivers 2, but the studio is self-funding its next game, with PlayStation not directly involved.Arrowhead boss Shams Jorjani said on Discord (via Forbes) that its next game is "100% funded by ourselves," so the studio will get to make all the key decisions about it. Nintendo has unveiled a new feature for Mario Kart World, and it's one you might not have expected: binoculars.Revealed on the Nintendo Today app, where Nintendo regularly posts bits of news, will feature stationary binoculars you can find in specific locations around the open world. In a short video, Mario is shown approaching the binoculars before being sent up into the air, where you can look around in a zoomed in first-person view. Valve has confirmed that your Steam password, or other private information, did not leak. On top of that, Valve stated that the leak came from a different source than Steam, and does not provide info linked to your Steam account in any way you need to worry about.In a statement sent to GameSpot, a Valve representative said "Yesterday we were made aware of reports of leaks of older text messages that had previously been sent to Steam customers. We have examined the leak sample and have determined this was NOT a breach of Steam systems."The security company Underdark was the first to report the alleged leaks, writing on LinkedIn that information from 89 million Steam accounts was being sold on the dark web. However, Valve has corrected that, as the leak came from the SMS service that sends temporary two-factor login codes. Jade Raymond, the founder and head of PlayStation owned Haven Studios, has left the company ahead of the studio's first release. This reportedly comes after poor reception to a test of Haven Studios first game Fairgames.Reported by Bloomberg, Raymond has left the company a few weeks after the first external place test for Fairgames, the studio's upcoming live-service multiplayer shooter. Some developers at the studio were reportedly concerned about Fairgames reception and the progress that had been made on the game. All game delays have their silver linings, and it looks like Grand Theft Auto VI's might just be the fact that it's given a lot of players more time to experience GTA V.Earlier today, Rockstar parent company Take-Two Interactive held its quarterly investor presentation, during which it revealed that the critically-acclaimed action-adventure game has now reached 215 million copies sold. Back in February, that number--while still extremely high--was around 210 million. This means that in the last three months, the 12-year-old game has sold a staggering five million additional copies. To put that into perspective, Monster Hunter Wilds is currently 2025's best-selling game and sits at about 10 million units sold after being released back in February. Though GTA V still has quite a ways to go if it wants to take down the top two best-selling video games of all time, this is still an incredibly impressive feat.This investor presentation marks the first one held by Take-Two Interactive since Grand Theft Auto VI's delay. Nearly three years ago, Netflix revealed plans to make a Gears of War movie based on the popular video game franchise. Now, the streamer is reportedly circling John Wick co-director David Leitch to bring Marcus Fenix and Delta Squad to live-action.According to The Hollywood Reporter, Leitch is currently in negotiations to helm Gears of War, but his deal hasn't been closed yet. How many seasons of Amazon's Fallout TV show will there be? The network hasn't said yet, but one of the show's actors, Aaron Moten (Maximus), has said he's been told it could be potentially six seasons.Speaking at Comic Con Liverpool, Moten said when he signed on to star on the show, he was told what "the end point" would be, and that hasn't changed. This would be a "Season 5, Season 6 type of end point," Moten said. "We've always known that we're going to take our time with the development of the characters," he explained (via TheGamer).It's not immediately clear if Moten is talking about the endpoint of Fallout in general or potentially for his character. Nintendo has released a short new video showcasing how mouse controls work on the home menu of Nintendo Switch 2.The video was initially posted on the Nintendo Today app on March 11. A message attached to the video on the app explains that players can place the attachment side of a Joy-Con 2 controller down on a flat surface (or your pants) while using the home menu to activate the mouse controls.
