Conan O'Brien has a plan to resume his late-night show as early as possible. While late-night shows like Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and Late Night with Seth Meyers are currently off the air in the wake of the global COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, which is making it unwise to bring together crews and guests, O'Brien wants to start up his show again by filming on an iPhone and using video chat. Variety is reporting that the show Conan will return to the air from March 30, with the show being filmed and produced remotely. The show will be shot on an iPhone, with no audience, and guests will be interviewed by video chat. This will allow the show's employees to keep working during a period of social isolation.According to the show's producer Jeff Ross, this decision is borne from both O'Brien's desire to work and the need to keep paying staff. "We have a staff that wants to work, that doesn’t want to not get paid, and you just want to keep the business going," he says.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Infinity Ward has released a new update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, as well as a playlist update for the game's multiplayer mode on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. While the majority of the patch notes concern various bug fixes, the big news here is of interest to Warzone players, who now have access to the battle royale game's Solo mode.Prior to this update, the only playlist in Warzone allowed for teams of three to compete against each other (although you could, technically, join a match without any teammates). Now, you'll be able to do battle without having to worry about enemy squads or anything of the sort--you'll win or (more likely) lose based solely on your own actions. While you can play Call of Duty: Warzone by yourself, and we certainly didn't recommend that option when Modern Warfare's standalone battle royale experience first launched on March 10, Infinity Ward and Raven Software have released a full-fledged Solo mode across all platforms for those lone wolves out there. As the name implies, Warzone's Solo mode pits you against 149 other solo players on the game's Verdansk map. All the normal battle royale rules apply, and both Buy Stations and the Gulag are accessible for players to gear up or fight for revival. Since you are all by your lonesome, Self-Revive Kits are littered throughout the map and available for purchase at Buy Stations to give you a second wind in case you get knocked down.Warzone's Solo mode will function like a large-scale free-for-all, where the last player standing takes all.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

As the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic continues to lead to event cancellations and postponements around the globe, things are getting very strange and surreal in the world of professional wrestling. It's already been announced that WWE will be moving the upcoming Wrestlemania 36 event to the WWE Performance Center, presenting it in front of a live audience. However, the company is also broadcasting its weekly TV shows from there. That brings us to a truly bizarre moment, perhaps one of the weirdest in WWE history. On the March 16 episode of Raw, which was dubbed 3:16 day by the company, WWE Hall of Famer "Stone Cold" Steve Austin appeared. Austin had been previously scheduled to appear on the show when it was set to air live in front of an arena full of fans. Without those fans, though, Austin got to have a new kind of fun.Standing in the middle of the ring at the Performance Center, Austin went into his traditional "give me a hell yeah" shtick, which would normally elicit a massive response from the audience. However, given the current situation, the camera instead cut to a section of audience chairs that were simply empty. The look of utter confusion on his face after being met with deafening silence is classic "Stone Cold" and very entertaining. Of course, when he tries it once more and gets a response from Raw commentary team member Byron Saxton, he responds with a simple, "What?"Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Following the conclusion of Apex Legends' System Override Event, which officially wrapped up on March 17, developer Respawn Entertainment confirmed that the new Evo Shields are here to stay. This item was exclusive to the Deja Loot LTE. Now that System Override is done, Evo Shields can be seen in Ranked, the quick-play mode Play Apex, and "limited-time modes moving forward."Evo Shields are upgradeable armor pieces that progressively grow stronger as you deal damage to enemies. Despite it starting out weaker than a common white body shield, rain enough bullets on your opponents and it's possible to upgrade the Evo Shield above a legendary gold body shield. But there's a catch: Evo Shields retain their progress when dropped, so it's likely you or your enemy could come across a fully-upgraded shield on the battlefield.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Doom fans are getting ready to rip and tear their way through the long-awaited sequel to the series' 2016 reboot, and if the reviews are any indication, Doom Eternal delivers. Taking cues from 1994's Doom 2: Hell on Earth, Eternal challenges players to beat back the hordes of Hell from Earth itself, introducing a load of fun new toys for the Doom Slayer to play with.In general, critics have plenty of positive things to say about the shooter, including our 8/10 review-in-progress. "Once you get the hang of it, though, all of Doom Eternal's many elements come together in a cascade of mayhem that makes you into the brainiest killing machine around," wrote our critic, Phil Hornshaw. "This isn't the kind of shooter in which your twitch reactions and aiming skills will carry you through; Eternal is a game in which you have to be constantly plotting your next move, executing a calculus of carnage to keep yourself alive and make everything else dead. Every moment is about analyzing the battlefield to find the next enemy you can stagger and slice apart for health or ammo, figuring out which enemy is your top priority and what guns you'll need to take it out safely, and where you need to head next in order to take the shots you need or keep the creatures chasing you from getting their own chance to rip and tear."We've grabbed some more reviews below, and most of them echo similar points. Generally, critics are impressed with the depth and pace of the game's frenetic combat, with most agreeing that it's a significant improvement over its predecessor. However, these writers are less impressed with the game's increased focus on storytelling and lore, with many arguing that such a move misrepresents the core strengths of the franchise. For more reviews, check out our sister site Metacritic to see what other sites had to say.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
