As part of Amazon's gigantic push into gaming, the company is developing a new Lord of the Rings MMO with developers who previously worked on Destiny, WoW, and Planetside, among others. The game is in development at the company's Irvine, California studio, and now some of the first details about the game have emerged thanks to job listings.A job ad for a senior character artist on the Lord of the Rings project calls for a person who will help create what sounds like a new art style for the game. The listing states, "We're seeking an art style for our game that is 'different-at-a-glance' from the games and movies that have come before us."The listing goes on: "We need an artist with bravery and artistic skills to help us do something new."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

The Last of Us: Part II actor Troy Baker, who plays Joel in the series, has shared some tantalizing details about what to expect in terms of Joel's story arch and the game overall. Unlike the original game, you play as Ellie in the sequel, but Joel will still have time and space to grow. Baker teased that we will learn more about who Joel is as a person throughout the story of Part II."What we've done such a good job of doing [in The Last of Us 2], is to continue to peel back layers and learn more about him," Baker told Fandom. "I even learned more about Joel and I’m the guy that walked into [the Last of Us audition] and said, 'I know the truth about Joel!' I knew his truth back then, but [after The Last of Us 2], I know even more of [Joel's] truth."For the overall story of Part II, Baker said he hopes the narrative challenges players' expectations of "what the game is, what the world is, who the characters are--everything."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

If you've given up on finding the illustrious tarantula island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, we have good news: You can just make your own. Instead of spending 2,000 Nook Miles per ticket on the chance of finding the rare deserted island that's overrun with these spiders, which are desirable for how much they can be sold for, any deserted island can become a tarantula island if you just know how. When Do Tarantulas Spawn? The key to this method is understanding how the spawn mechanics in Animal Crossing: New Horizons work. Bugs require certain conditions to spawn, including months of the year, the weather, and the environment. Tarantulas require it to be nighttime (7 PM - 4 AM specifically) and during the correct months. In the Northern Hemisphere that's November through April, while Southern Hemisphere players will need to be playing from May to October. You can always change your time and date in the Switch settings to fit these requirements, although time-skipping can have unintended consequences.Tarantulas can be sold for a whopping 8,000 bells each (though you should put your first one in the museum of course), which means you can make some serious bells with this method. Make sure to purchase all the inventory upgrades first to get the best results, and ensure you aren't carrying more than you need to.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

After dabbling in the horror genre with P.T., which was actually a teaser for Silent Hills, Hideo Kojima wants to create another horror game down the road. He wants this game to be so scary that you poop your pants. Peeing your pants is not enough. It must be poop."I would like to make another horror game someday. Something that uses a revolutionary method to create terror, that doesn't just make you pee your pants, but crap them. I already have ideas in mind," he told BAFTA as part of his induction into organization's fellowship program.Kojima also reflected on the phenomenon that was P.T. The game succeeded and resonated so strongly because it played on different elements of the unknown, Kojima said.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, seasonal events no longer just occur on one day of the year; the now run for a few weeks in the lead up for the event. From April 1 to 12, a strange bunny-like creature, Zipper T. Bunny, has shown up on everyone’s islands. Zipper has hidden some eggs around the island as part of the Easter event, but players are finding that these eggs are less hidden and more the only thing on the island anymore. All over the island there are new colorful eggs to find and various egg-related recipes to discover. At least that’s how the event is supposed to go. Instead, players are finding nothing but eggs. Whether it's fishing, digging up a fossil, chopping trees, or popping balloons, everything has been seemingly replaced by eggs. Some people have opened their games to find that Zipper has replaced what would have been a full Money Tree with eggs. Understandably, players are upset at this strange rabbit ruining the delicate ecosystem of their island.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

The opening hours of Resident Evil 3 are incredibly effective at putting you on edge. A remake of the original 1999 game, Resident Evil 3 puts the volatile and intense conflict between protagonist Jill Valentine and the unrelenting force of nature, Nemesis, front and center--giving way to some strong survival horror moments that show off the best of what the series can offer. But after that solid start, this revisit to a bygone era not only loses track of the type of horror game that Resident Evil once was, but also loses sight of what made the original so memorable.Much like 2019's Resident Evil 2, the remake of Resident Evil 3 interprets the classic survival horror game through a modern lens, redesigning locations and altering key events to fit a significantly revised story. Resident Evil 3 doesn't deviate too much from the formula set by the RE2 remake, but it does lean harder into the action-focused slant the original version of RE3 had, giving you some greater defensive skills to survive. RE3's introduction is a strong one, conveying a creeping sense of paranoia and dread that's synonymous with the series, and Jill Valentine once again proves herself to be a confident protagonist to take everything head-on.RE3 is very much a companion piece to the previous game, serving as a simultaneous prequel and sequel that caps off the saga in Raccoon City. There are even key points in the story that expect you to know of prior characters or locations that tie back to the previous remake. While you won't miss out on anything vital for not having played RE2, some of the previous game's most poignant moments are given more subtext in RE3. You'll eventually cross paths with supporting characters like mercenary Carlos Oliveira, the game's second playable character, along with some other unsavory individuals looking to take advantage of the chaos.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Everything in Good Job is designed to keep you from achieving what its title implies. Even simple tasks like delivering parcels or mopping up the floor are made comically complicated with unpredictable physics and ridiculous office tools at your disposal. Good Job isn't so much about finding a way to achieve your objectives in the cleanest manner possible, but is instead a fun playground for you and some friends to muck about in. It's at its best when it gives you the freedom to create solutions to puzzles using the chaos you orchestrate, only faltering in a handful of scenarios.Good Job puts you in the working boots of the ill-equipped and woefully unqualified child of a mega-corporation's CEO, and you're given any and every job possible as you climb the corporate ladder. The first floors are simple--you mop up brightly colored goop off the floor, deliver packages to color-coded desks, and courier projectors to meeting rooms in need. As trivial as it sounds, the chaotic layout of the offices combined with the loose, QWOP-like control scheme makes moving objects feel like you're spring cleaning after a rough night out at a bar. Dragging a projector, for example, is humorously tricky. It easily slides around while you drag it, knocking over decorative art pieces and smashing the glass walls of meeting rooms. Good Job isn't worried about how well you complete a job, but rather if you're able to get it done period. Leaving a mess of memos, fire extinguisher foam, and distressed co-workers in your wake just makes it more fun.Every object in Good Job is physically reactive, giving every little bump the potential to set off a chain reaction of destruction. Each level is designed with this in mind, forcing you to navigate through doors just too small to pull objects through, around twisting hallways filled with precariously placed vases and paintings, and over electrical cables that will catch anything you might be dragging with you. These are presented not only as obstacles, but as fun opportunities to create chaos that makes your job a little easier.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Being an Easter-inspired event, it's no surprise that eggs feature prominently into Bunny Day, Animal Crossing: New Horizons' first-ever seasonal event. It's live from now through April 12, and while the basics are all outlined for you, there are some details you might need to discover on your own. Below, we've detailed all six types of eggs and how to obtain each one and explained what you'll do with them. The majority of the eggs require some type of tool, so you'll want to have some materials on hand. In particular, from my experience, there are a ton of balloons out, so you'll want to craft at least one slingshot on hand at all times so you don't miss out on any. (If you've unlocked Nook's Cranny, you can buy one from the cabinet in the back-left corner for 900 bells.)Speaking with Zipper T. Bunny reveals there are six types of eggs, but he only mentions five ways of obtaining them. Here's the full list of all six and how to get them:Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Respawn may be teasing the next town takeover for Apex Legends. If you head to Sniper's Ridge--an apt name for the location given it provides a nice perch over Skyhook and usually hides sniper weapons, attachments, and ammo--on World's Edge, you'll find new map changes that seem to hint that Bloodhound is getting a town takeover next.About partway up the ridge, you'll see a corpse covered in a murder of crows--the same type that Bloodhound sees with their passive ability, Tracker, as a warning sign that enemies are close. Approach the crows and they'll fly away, revealing the corpse to be what looks like a prowler. No, not a Prowler, like Apex Legends' heavy ammo submachine gun, but a prowler, like the ferocious creature first mentioned in Titanfall and first seen in Titanfall 2.Who else remembers getting hunted by these things in Titanfall 2's Effect and Cause level?Above the prowler, you can spot that a small flag has been posted on top of the cliffs. It's the same type of flag that appeared in Kings Canyon prior to Wraith's town takeover--it marked the future location of the Singh Labs, which was added to the Apex Legends map in the final weeks of Season 2: Battle Charge during the limited-time Voidwalker event.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
