Animal Crossing: New Horizons has only been out for two weeks, but players quickly found a way to exploit spawns for valuable bugs to get rich. One of these money-making schemes involved farming tarantulas, the semi-rare and nocturnal arachnid that are worth 8,000 bells each if you can catch them. But the arrival of brand new bugs for the month of April has also meant new competition for the profitable tarantula--the giant water bug is here and it's ruining Animal Crossing's tarantula island. We have a whole guide on tarantula farming, but the gist of it is this: you head to a deserted island via Mystery Tour and clear out all the resources like rocks, trees, stumps, and flowers. This removes spawn conditions for other bugs, which will force the tarantula to spawn more than usual. Previously, players didn't have to worry about bodies of water on their deserted island, because in the Northern Hemisphere at least, there were no seasonal bugs that spawned on water. Enter: the giant water bug.The culprit: a giant water bug.The giant water bug is a new April arrival for Northern Hemisphere players. It appears on freshwater like ponds and rivers, meaning it doesn't require any of the foliage you'd typically clear out of your deserted island to generate a tarantula island. If you try to make a tarantula island now, you'll find that in addition to having to scare away tiger beetles or wharf roaches (bugs that also don't require flowers or trees to spawn) to force tarantula spawns, you'll also need to contend with giant water bug spawns. To make matters worse, giant water bugs don't flitter away when you sprint by them, meaning you have to actually catch them with your net and release them each time they appear. This is making an already time-consuming process a long, tedious loop for players looking to make bells fast.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Since 2015, Amazon has held its massive Prime Day sale in July each year, offering big discounts on thousands of products on its storefront, including great deals on PS4, Xbox One, and Switch games. But it looks like this year's Prime Day will miss its expected July date due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.Reuters has reported that it viewed "internal meeting notes" revealing Prime Day will be delayed until August at the earliest. Given the fact that Amazon is currently prioritizing shipping household and health items, it's not surprising that a sale featuring a significant number of non-essential items across categories like tech and entertainment would be delayed. Last month, Amazon announced it was suspending stock shipments to its warehouses for non-essential goods until April 5.Amazon doesn't reveal dates for its events--including Prime Day--until right before the sales begin, so it's possible we won't learn the new Prime Day window for months. The retailer declined to comment on Reuters' report.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Disney is doing some major shifting of upcoming movie release dates, including most of the Marvel Cinematic Universe films. After release delays for Black Widow, Mulan, and others--along with production stoppages for Shang-Chi, The Little Mermaid, and Home Alone--Disney is rethinking its upcoming releases.Due to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic shutting down theaters while the United States and the rest of the world practices social distancing, Disney is making some major shifts for movie releases, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Black Widow, originally arriving on May 1, has been moved into November 6. Because this was the original release date for Eternals, all of the upcoming MCU movies have been shifted, eventually leading to Captain Marvel 2 being reassigned to a July 8, 2022 release date. The same changes are happening at Disney, along with other Disney studios like 20th Century and Searchlight. The most notable movie getting a new release date is Mulan, which was originally to be released on March 27 of this year. Now, the live-action remake will be arriving on July 24. These scheduling changes are also affecting movies that are pretty far out from releasing. The upcoming Indiana Jones film was eyed for a July 2021 release, but it is now coming on July 29, 2022.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

The Resident Evil 3 remake sticks very close to the original's action-focused take on survival horror. While this can give you a greater feeling of control in your struggle to survive the hordes of undead, the game can often feel like it leans too heavily on action, resulting in encounters that aren't very scary. While Resident Evil 3's campaign is brief, and the game doesn't have much in the way of bonus content, completing the story on Hardcore difficulty opens up a new difficulty mode that feels closer to a survival horror experience--presenting RE3 at its best. After completing Hardcore mode, which is the hard mode available from the beginning and which has more aggressive enemies, RE3 will open up a bonus difficulty called Nightmare. Essentially a "very hard" mode, it includes tougher enemies and less ammo and reshuffles item locations. Those changes are already a lot to deal with, but what makes Nightmare mode so interesting are the remixed enemy encounters. In addition to throwing more zombies at you, tougher monsters appear much earlier, and Nemesis is far more aggressive and faster than before. My Nightmare mode playthrough, which rounded out to about four hours, offered a more worthwhile approach to RE3's survival horror, that actively placed more pressure on me as it went on.One of the reasons why survival horror is so effective is that it actively creates an air of uncertainty, of not knowing what awaits around the corner. This feeling will inevitably be diminished once you've gotten an understanding of the dangers in each environment, especially on repeat playthroughs. What I appreciated most about Nightmare mode is that it almost immediately lets you know that things aren't going to be the same this time around.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Ubisoft has clarified its stance on balancing Rainbow Six Siege for the game's professional players, specifically what it meant by earlier stating, "if professional players are not happy with our proposed features, then that means we are going in the right direction." In a blog post for the in-game Operator adjustments in update Y5S1.2, Ubisoft said it merely wanted to convey that it's the developer's job to push Siege's playerbase out of its comfort zone on occasion."It is true that part of our balancing efforts is to push every player, professionals included, out of their comfort zone," Ubisoft wrote. "This does not mean we are going about things to be intentionally frustrating for these players, but instead make adjustments to ensure our professional players are the best at the game as a whole, and not a specific update or meta. We also have to consider the entire player-base, and while some aspects of professional play will trickle down to general matchmaking, not all do (Goyo for example)."In regards to Goyo, the Ember Rise Operator has a low pick and low win rate. Apparently, not many casual players see much utility in placing booby-trapped deployable shields--which makes a lot of sense given that they can be just as big of a detriment to Goyo's fellow defenders as to the opposing attackers.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Ubisoft has revealed the Operator changes for Rainbow Six Siege in Update Y5S1.2. In this update, five Operators are being adjusted--Ying, Jäger, Mozzie, Buck, and Goyo--with Ying getting a noticeable buff to up her utility in combat. A few guns are getting balance changes too.In a the update's patch notes, Ubisoft writes that the update replaces Ying's claymore (which recently replaced her frag grenades) with smoke grenades, a change the developer hopes will "increase the level of synergy she deploys when spearheading" the attacking team's assault, specifically when it comes to circumventing Mira's Black Mirrors or Goyo's Volcà n Shields. The update also ups the damage on Ying's T-95 LSW light machine gun from 43 to 46 and the number of Candelas she has from three to four. Both changes should help her both disorient and deal out damage more quickly, which in turn will likely increase her utility both as the first one to breach an enemy's team defenses and her likelihood of winning a one-on-one duel.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

This weekend, WWE hosts its biggest wrestling event of the year, Wrestlemania 36. The 2020 PPV will be quite different from past events, as it will take place over the course of two nights with no audience in attendance. One of the highlights of the evening will be "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles taking on a Wrestlemania staple, The Undertaker. The two will collide in a Boneyard match during the April 4 Mania weekend. But what is a boneyard match? "It's hard to tell you exactly what it is," Styles admitted to GameSpot. "But see, I can tell you this. There's no rules. At the end of the day, anything's going to go, anything can be used. And I would say that he's playing into my game, you know? I mean, he's not thinking... Maybe the Undertaker's been so angry with A.J. Styles, and everything that he has said, that he's not even thinking straight, which could be a good thing for the fans because they're going to get the Undertaker that they are used to seeing. This guy who's going to beat the tar out of you. So there's that. But it's just a different match. Like I said, without giving it away, I think it's exactly what you think it is."Because of the current pandemic, there will be no fans in attendance for the show of shows. But how does that affect the performers inside the ring? "Everything we do is based on fan reaction," Styles explains. "And now we're not seeing it or hearing it. So that makes it difficult. But I think, I dodged a bullet in my match at Wrestlemania, being a Boneyard match, because there weren't going to be people there anyway, but it's a different atmosphere.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
