Listen, I know we just got our hands on the long-awaited reimagining to one of the most beloved games ever with Final Fantasy 7 Remake. But as the first wave of folks work their way to finishing this 40-hour(ish) journey through Midgar--which was just the opening portion of the original game--we naturally begin to wonder where FF7 Remake goes from here. You probably have questions, like how many parts will it be, or how long will we have to wait for the next entry? For one, I would say relax and let the development team do their thing, because as a reminder, the next part in FF7 Remake is currently in development. In a Square Enix blog post back in November 2019, game director Tetsuya Nomura stated, "We've already begun working on the next one as well, but I'm confident that playing through this title will expand your expectations just like the world that extends beyond Midgar."Our own senior editor Edmond Tran had a conversation with producer Yoshinori Kitase just last month, and asked Kitase-san how he feels about the possibility of working on FF7 Remake for the rest of his career. He said he isn't worried about the commitment, concluding, "I think it is a very important thing." He also echoed Nomura-san's assertion, saying that the team isn't taking a break from the Remake project and that they'll "get straight to it." There's never been a better time to set some time aside and do a deep-dive into the weird, wonderful world of Spider-Man movies. There are certainly plenty to pick from, and each incarnation has its own merits, from different Peter Parkers to different villains and different, uh, levels of quality we'll say. But, of course, if you're going to go through and rank all the different Spider-Mans (Spiders-Men?), you'll need to come at them with fresh eyes. We recommend a nice, extensive re-watch marathon.Fortunately, just about every Spider-Man movie is available for streaming on various services. The only real outlier is The Amazing Spider-Man, which you'll have to pick up as a rental if you want to relive Andrew Garfield's glory days all over again. Everything else, however, you can find with some fancy footwork and the right subscriptions to streaming platforms like Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon Prime. Here's where you can find each Spider-Man movie to watch right now from the comfort and safety of your own home.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

For those of you who are excited for the latest streaming service to arrive--NBCUniversal's Peacock--the wait is over, kind of. Today, Peacock launched for some people, but don't expect to be able to watch all of the service's original content right away. While not everyone can access the new service, Xfinity customers will be able to use Peacock at no cost on the Flex 4K system through the cable/internet provider. This will be the premium ad-supported tier--listed below--and there will be a full rollout for all Comcast subscribers by April 30.Peacock's premium tier will have more than 15,000 hours of TV shows and movies to kick things off, from Parks and Recreation to Jurassic Park and more. There are a plethora of original programs coming as well. However, the majority of them are being delated until 2021 because of the coronavirus pandemic, according to Variety.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Animal Crossing: New Horizons' Bunny Day event has ended (much to the relief of players everywhere), but as Nintendo had previously teased, an Earth Day event is also slated to take place in the game soon. This year's Earth Day falls on April 22, which is presumably around when New Horizons' event will be held given that the series typically matches up with the real-world calendar. As was the case with Bunny Day, the Earth Day event will be added as part of a free update, although Nintendo has not yet announced when that will be released. The company also hasn't yet shared any details about what the event will entail, but it seems it will be hosted by Leif--the flower-loving sloth who runs the gardening store in New Leaf. That may not be all that's coming to New Horizons this month. During March's Nintendo Direct Mini, Nintendo teased that the game's upcoming update will "usher in some newly added features, including the Earth Day event," suggesting that some other things will be added as well. However, the company didn't share any further information beyond that.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

There's plenty of decent science fiction to stream on TV during this trying time of self-isolation, whether you're interested in the near-future body-swapping of HBO's Westworld Season 3 or the slightly-less-near-future body-swapping of Netflix's Altered Carbon Season 2. But chances are you're missing out on the best sci-fi show to hit the airwaves (or, in this case, streaming world) in years: FX's Devs. Granted, it's understandable if Devs has slipped under your radar, since figuring out where to stream it can be slightly confusing. So how do you actually watch FX's Devs? In a seeming contradiction (appropriate for a show largely concerned with concepts of determinism and free will), Devs doesn't actually air on FX. Instead, Devs is an "FX on Hulu" show. In other words, the whole show is streaming exclusively on Hulu. If you have a Hulu subscription, you can stream it right now. And you definitely should--read on to find out why.Devs comes from the mind of writer and director Alex Garland, whose previous high concept sci-fi mindf***s include, in addition to much more, the 2014 AI/android film Ex Machina and 2018's adaptation of Jeff VanderMeer's novel Annihilation. The show follows employees and executives at a Google-like tech firm whose clandestine "Devs" division hides a world-changing secret--one that CEO Forest (Parks and Rec's Nick Offerman) will do anything to hide, unfortunately for protagonist Lily (Sonoya Mizuno, who previously dazzled us in Ex Machina, as well as the fantastic 2018 Netflix show Maniac).Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Olsen, who was literally squirming as he replied to a question from a fan about this, declined to share more details out of respect for Shippey."I will say, it's not that simple [as Amazon fired Tom Shippey]," Olsen said. After 23 years, the remake of Final Fantasy VII is bringing one of gaming's most beloved RPGs back to the forefront of discussion. Fans are excited, but if you've never played FFVII--or, possibly, any Final Fantasy--you might be wondering what all the hoopla is about when it comes to a guy named Cloud, a woman named Aerith, a dog named Red XIII, and any number of other weird items, elements, and places surrounding the game. Final Fantasy VII is a classic, but if you missed the boat 23 years ago, the situation around the remake might be confusing you. There are a lot of details for a newcomer to get lost in, outside of FFVII's dense story and worldbuilding, like how it's only the first episode of a larger story and how it makes a lot of changes to the original. If everything from the hype to the scope of Final Fantasy VII Remake have you confused, we're here to help. Here's everything you need to know, and why you should care.Final Fantasy VII Is A Classic For A ReasonFirst and foremost, you want to understand why FFVII is so beloved among so many fans. Part of the explanation is the moment of its release: in 1997, FFVII hit the original PlayStation at the perfect moment. It was a game with a huge, rich story and interesting characters at a moment when storytelling in console games was rarely the focus. It mainstreamed the RPGs of Square Enix (Squaresoft at the time) for a big swathe of players who had never seen or heard of them before.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
