On the one-year anniversary of God of War's release on PS4, Sony announced Raising Kratos, the wonderful feature-length "making of" documentary. For its two-year anniversary, which is today, Sony revealed some new merch that's available to pre-order now, including a limited-edition Kratos bust that will hurt your wallet and a new book that recreates Atreus' journal from the game.Life-size Kratos bust | $800Only 500 Kratos busts will ever be madeGaming Heads, a manufacturer of premium video game statues, previously made a bust of Kratos based on his appearance in the earlier God of War games. God of War for PS4 saw Kratos evolve not just internally but on the surface, too (most notably: the beard). Gaming Heads has matched that change with this stunning 25-inch bust of the iconic demigod.Only 500 of these limited-edition busts will be made. You have to put down a non-refundable deposit of $80 to secure your pre-order for the $800 bust. Yes, it's quite pricey, and I'm not sure how many people actually own busts? But if I knew someone who owned a bust, my guess is they'd wear a monocle while examining it.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Animal Crossing: New Horizons has taken over the world over the past few weeks, but fans have noted that a few features from previous games haven't make it into the series' debut on Switch. According to Twitter user Ninji, however, some of those omissions might be coming to the game after all.In a lengthy series of tweets, Ninji explains how he datamined New Horizons and found references in the code to features that aren't currently present in the game. This includes Crazy Redd, the duplicitous and sardonic kitsune that serves as Tom Nook's rival. In previous games, Redd would sell paintings that you could donate to the museum, and some would be fakes. As Ninji says, Redd may pilot a ship that docks on the northmost beach of the player's deserted island. The code includes mentions of a vegetable-growing mechanic, which would be a first for the franchise. It also references bushes, scuba-diving, more upgrades for the museum and Nook's Cranny, and the reintroduction of Brewster's cafe, which were all present in previous games. Due to the nature of datamining, however, it's unclear if these features will come to New Horizons in a future update, or if Ninji is essentially sifting through clippings on the cutting room floor.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

After K.K. Slider visits your island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons for the first time (and you unlock the ability to terraform), the wandering musician will return every Saturday night to hold a small concert, just as in previous Animal Crossing games. You'll find him sitting in front of your Resident Services building all day, but he'll only play music between 6 PM and midnight. As in past titles, you can either let K.K. play a random song or request to hear a specific tune, and he'll give you an "aircheck" of the first song he plays that night. While you can purchase most of these recordings through the Nook Shopping terminal, there are a handful of "secret" songs that K.K. will only play by request, so if you want to get your hands on those airchecks, you'll need to specifically request them.Below, we've rounded up the full list of K.K. Slider songs in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The secret songs that K.K. only plays by request are denoted in bold. Keep in mind that you'll need to type each song title out as it is written below (meaning you need to have the proper punctuation) when requesting the songs; if you spell the title incorrectly, K.K. will instead play a live-only song (which can't be received as an aircheck) and say he didn't understand your request after he finishes singing.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Apex Legends is about to go into Season 5. If tradition holds, the new season will see the addition of a brand-new playable character, weapon, map changes or new map, and battle pass. Respawn has already revealed that Season 5 will have a "pleasant surprise" for Titanfall fans. But when can we expect all this new content? The short answer: we don't know for sure. However, we can make an educated guess based on when previous seasons have started.Season 4: Assimilation is drawing to a close, following The Old Ways limited-time event that added a Bloodhound-themed town takeover to World's Edge, implemented a permanent Duos mode, buffed Revenant, and transformed Lifeline into a more supportive combat medic. Like Season 2: Battle Charge and Season 3: Meltdown, we can tell how much longer Season 4 is scheduled to go based on how much longer the current Apex Legends' battle pass will remain available.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

It's been over a month since businesses started closing and people began sheltering in place throughout the United States--and around the world. The COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic has changed daily life in both complex and mundane ways. An untold number of jobs are being lost and the economy is in historically bad shape. Beyond that, movie theaters sit empty, theme parks around the world are closed, and conventions, festivals, and gatherings everywhere are being canceled. As of this moment, there is no set date for when the world will resume. When it does, though, are you going to feel comfortable leaving your house and heading to the movies or Disneyland again to celebrate? Because I'm not.Eventually, I--like most others--will head back to the movies, attend wrestling shows and concerts, and do all of the things I used to before. I'll do it partly because it's my job as an entertainment journalist and critic to partake in these things. More than that, though, I'll do it because this is what I love. I feel at home at the movies, and I'm never more elated than when I walk down Main Street at Disneyland.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

But the long and short of it is that the mix is not what it should be. "The instruments are all fighting each other, & thus the mix sounds very poor as a result," the user said. The game's composer, Mick Gordon, says on Twitter that someone else mixed the majority of the soundtrack's songs. Gordon only mixed "Meathook," "Command and Control" and others, and just a "small handful" of the more than two-dozen songs on the OST.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Netflix has acquired a new Melissa McCarthy movie for a huge fee, and a new report shines a light on the deal-making process. According to Deadline, Netflix agreed to pay a whopping $20 million for the movie--called The Starling--based on the script and a four-minute reel alone. The movie is apparently finished with principal photography, and is now in post-production. Fire Emblem is celebrating its 30th anniversary, as Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & The Blade of Light released in Japan on April 20, 1990. The game, which was eventually remade for the Nintendo DS, introduced series hero Marth, alongside numerous other characters who have not been as prominent in the series going forward. Now, to celebrate 30 years of Fire Emblem, several characters from that game are being added to mobile spin-off Fire Emblem Heroes.#FireEmblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light was originally released in Japan in 1990! Gharnef was one of the first nemeses in the history of Fire Emblem, but now, he and others can join your ranks in battle in #FEHeroes. pic.twitter.com/tLE8bBbDG1 — Fire Emblem Heroes (@FE_Heroes_EN) April 20, 2020The first character coming is actually the villain of that first Fire Emblem, Gharnef. He was the one who wanted to hatch the Shadow Dragon in the original, which would have allowed him to rule the world. He'll be able to use his Dark Pontifex power in-game.Linde, who inherited the tome of Aura and was on a quest for vengeance, has received a radical redesign for Fire Emblem Heroes, where she'll be able to use her Light Mage ability. Similarly, Abel has lost his buck tooth from the original design, and his horse has changed from white to brown, but he hopefully he's as loyal as he was in Shadow Dragon. Fire Emblem Heroes recently added a subscription pass, so heavy users could get monthly benefits. The game has accounted for the majority of Nintendo's earnings from mobile titles, so it's fair to say that it's a huge success.Info from Gamespot.com
