Ubisoft has released the latest patch for Rainbow Six Siege. Previously only on the PC test server, Patch Y5S1.2 is now live on official PC servers and scheduled to come to Xbox One and PS4 sometime this week. The patch is primarily geared towards balancing certain Operators and weapons, namely Ying. She's also getting more Candelas and the damage rate of her T-95 LSW is getting a nice buff. A newly released trailer for Animal Crossing: New Horizons shows off a number of events and other new features coming to the game over the next few months. This includes two new special visitors, Leif and Jolly (formerly Crazy) Redd, who were confirmed, but there's actually a third returning character teased in the trailer: Rover, a friendly cat whose role in previous games was to help you name your character and town.Rover can be seen briefly toward the end of the trailer during the May Day section. The May Day event, which is scheduled for May 1 through 7, has you visiting a special island separate from the regular Mystery Tour deserted islands you can visit with Nook Miles. Nintendo teases, "A special visitor who looks familiar might also be there...", and judging by the back of him, that visitor appears to be Rover. You can see a screenshot below. In past Animal Crossing games, you would encounter Rover on the train at the very beginning of the game. There, he would ask you questions to determine your character's name and gender, the time and date, and your town name. In New Horizons, that role is partially taken over by Timmy and Tommy, and you name your island after you've arrived.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

For every behemoth corporation like EA, Blizzard, or Riot, there are thousands of independent creators making games the way they want to make them. Itch.io provides these developers with a platform, and teems with inspired games about virtual art colleges, turn-based football dramas, and skeletons headbutting lizards.Although the Itch community is remarkably tight-knit and infectiously supportive, it's relatively self-contained. People who regularly occasion its hodgepodge storefront are likely to experiment with a variety of games, whereas those less interested in its curios might only visit for an ephemeral sojourn, never to return. Those lines have started to blur recently: all of a sudden, games that may have only been downloaded two or three times a week are being played by thousands of people all over the world--daily. Why? Because a variety of Itch creators have championed the benevolent cause of making games as inexpensive as they possibly can--in some cases making them completely free--in order to play their part in helping those who are currently self-isolating. This is how the "Games to help you stay inside" collection was born.Moshe Linke, an indie developer from Hamburg who specializes in cultivating experiences founded upon neo-brutalism and concrete philosophical exploration, told me that offering escapism has become a concerted effort in the development community. "To help people cope, I want to make my work accessible for as many people as possible," Linke explained. "I saw some of my indie friends doing it and loved the idea of joining the movement." One of Linke's most well-known games, Fugue In Void, is currently available free of charge.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

While the COVID-19 pandemic is having a massive effect on Hollywood, delaying movie releases or cancelling them altogether, Netflix has revealed this won't affect its release schedule. It's business as usual for the streaming giant when it comes to release dates.During the Q1 2020 Netflix earnings call, chief content officer Ted Sarandos discussed the 2020 slate of original programming and its release schedule. "The one thing that's maybe not widely understood is we work really far out, relative to the industry because we launch our shows, all episodes, at once, and we're working far out all over the world," Sarandos explained. "So our 2020 slate in films are largely shot and are in post-production, remotely, in locations all over the world."We're actually pretty deep into our 2021 slate. We're not anticipating any moving things around. To give you some examples, The Crown is [in its] fourth season, our big fourth quarter animated release, Over the Moon. These are shot productions and in finishing stags right now to release later this year as planned. So we don't anticipate moving the schedule around much, certainly not in 2020."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

True Fiction is a series that digs into the truth behind the fiction to find how they relate to each other. This episode focuses on the 1996 movie Fargo, and the impact it is believed to have had on a Japanese woman called Takako Konishi. Legend has it that Konishi traveled to Fargo in search of a treasure shown in the film, tricked by an assertion from its directors that all the events depicted were real. The truth, however, is that this is simply an urban legend. In digging into the urban legend it becomes clear that the real story behind Konishi and her journey is something altogether sadder. Konishi died far from home, and though spurious rumors say the reason for her untimely demise was a ludicrous chase for fictional riches, the truth is a human story of heartbreak. We asked True Fiction writer and presenter, our very own Kurt Indovina, to talk about the process of making this episode, and what it was like to learn the truth behind the fiction. You can also watch the episode below.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

As part of Netflix's new earnings report, the company provided numbers regarding its most popular shows and movies so far in 2020. This compares to 64 million for Tiger King. Netflix's unscripted dating show Love is Blind was seen by 30 million households, while the Spanish language drama Casa de Papel (Money Heist) was seen by 65 million homes. Another Netflix original show, Season 3 of Ozark, is projected to reach 29 million households over its first four weeks. These numbers come from Netflix, and they are based on unique reporting principles. Though flies are pretty common in real life, in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, they're blissfully rare. The fly is one of 80 bugs you can catch in the game, and while it's not worth much, you have to put some effort in if you want to catch a fly and fill in your museum and Critterpedia. The good news is that flies appear year-round and at any time of day. But oddly enough, the first thing you need to do to catch a fly... is go fishing.A fly in Animal Crossing: New Horizons' Critterpedia. How To Catch A FlyCatching a fly is a multi-step process and can require some patience, but once you know what to do, you'll be able to get one pretty easily. Here's what you need to do:Fish until you catch garbage (a can, tire, or boot)Drop the garbage somewhere outsideWalk around the island until a fly spawns around the garbagePull out your net and catch the fly!You can also use spoiled turnips to attract a fly (instead of garbage) just like you can do with ants. However, because spoiled turnips are the only way to attract ants--and ants seem to be more common than flies--you'll likely have to endure a lot of ants before you can find a fly. Using spoiled turnips also costs bells (both when you buy the turnips and then fail to sell them at a profit), whereas garbage only costs a little fishing time. Either way works, though!Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Concerns around COVID-19, and local government orders that prevent people from gathering in large groups, have led to the cancellation or postponement of numerous gaming, tech, and entertainment conferences scheduled for 2020. The new Scooby Doo movie Scoob! will not be released in theatres as planned. Warner Bros. has announced that the animated movie will launch on digital platforms on May 15.On that day, you'll be able to rent Scoob! for $20 USD or buy it outright for $25 USD. Those choosing to rent will have access to the movie for 48 hours. The May 15 release date is the same date that the film was originally expected to come to theatres. The $20 rental price is much higher than what you might expect given historical rental pricing, but that's because it's a brand-new movie. Warner Bros. is missing out on potentially huge box office revenues by skipping theatres, and the higher rental price is seemingly aimed at making up some of those losses.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
