Super Mega Baseball 3 has received a slight delay, but now has a firm release date. The game, originally announced for April, will come out on May 13, and developer Metalhead Software has released an in-depth video revealing the various ways the game has improved on its predecessors. The biggest changes, the video promises, are to base stealing and pick-off mechanics. Base runners now take off immediately when you press the steal button, so timing your move against what the pitcher is doing matters more. If you're pitching, you can perform a pick-off with a press of the D-Pad (to indicate which base you're throwing to), and whether the player is safe or not will depend on whether they've pressed the steal button.Player traits have been added too, and they'll change how each individual plays. It might be that a pitcher's accuracy drops over time, for instance, or a batter is better at a specific kind of shot. There's also a new dynamic swing reticule, so players will have a better visualization of exactly where and how they'll hit the ball.New pitcher role types have been added, while fielders have also been reworked in line with feedback the developers got from the second game. You'll be able to experience all of this across the game's new Franchise mode, where you guide a team through multiple seasons.Super Mega Baseball 3 will receive both a demo and a trial version, the latter of which will let you play unlimited games in the competitive online Pennant Race mode, which will keep the game's online mode occupied during the launch period.Super Mega Baseball 3 is coming to PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and PC, with cross-platform play. It will retail for $45. Info from Gamespot.com

Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark is getting a sequel. Deadline is reporting that the first film's director, Andre Ovredal, will return for the second film, but it won't necessarily adapt more of the short stories from the original book series. The script, written by Dan and Kevin Hageman (The Lego Movie), will be based on a story written by Guillermo del Toro. del Toro, who won the Best Director Oscar in 2018 for The Shape of Water, produced the first film.Exact details of what this story involves are being kept under wraps for now, but as the first film received a PG-13 rating, and the original books were aimed at children, we don't expect anything too horrific. A release date has not been announced. The first film was a success, bringing in $105 million worldwide on a $25 million budget. It received a 7/10 in GameSpot's review, and was praised for "giving fans a fun thrill ride while also serving as a great gateway horror movie for kids to get terrified and then hooked for life to the genre."Info from Gamespot.com

Earlier this week, Ubisoft released the latest patch for Rainbow Six Siege on PC. Now, Patch Y5S1.2 has made its way to consoles. The patch primarily aims to buff Ying and fix bugs.Though a previous update substituted her frag grenades with claymote, this new patch replaces her claymore with smoke grenades. It also increased the damage of her T-95 LSW and granted her more Candelas, as revealed in the full patch notes. Additionally, it fixed a bundle of bugs, including a nasty barricade replication glitch.A patch from earlier in April adjusted five operators, including Ying, Jäger, Mozzie, Buck, and Goyo. Ying received the most changes, with the other characters getting more minor fixes, such as Jäger's becoming less speedy but more armored. The developers of Siege released a lengthy blog post explaining the logic behind these decisions, citing a need to push players outside of their comfort zone.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

It's no secret at this point that if you're willing to wait a few months after a AAA game's release, you'll probably be able to find it for $10 to $20 cheaper (and sometimes even more). That waiting period has seemed to shrink as this console generation comes to a close, and if you held off on buying Doom Eternal for that reason, you're in luck. Just one month after its release, Doom Eternal's PC version is currently selling for $40 at Walmart.Unfortunately, this is a box that'll be shipped to you with the code inside, but if you've already waited this long to check out Doom Eternal, you may not mind waiting a bit longer. The purchase includes free shipping, and for me, the listing guarantees delivery by April 27.For comparison, Doom Eternal is full price on Amazon and Steam. You can find it for $52.79 on Fanatical, which will email you the digital code directly, but if you're holding out for the best price, Walmart's discount is the way to go.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

While there are plenty of new titles headed to Netflix in May, there are also movies and TV shows leaving the service as well. So it's your last chance to watch everything listed below. If you're the the mood for something very, very '90s and your favorite catchphrase is still "Yeah baby!" then you'll want to revisit the Austin Powers trilogy before it leaves. International Man of Mystery, The Spy Who Shagged Me, and Goldmember all say goodbye to Netflix on May 31, so it's your last chance to watch these movies while you yell "Get in my belly!" or "One million dollars!" at your TV. Well, you can technically do that whenever you want, but after the end of the month, you won't be able to do it while it's playing on Netflix. The vast majority of us are sheltering in place at home, and many have taken up new hobbies. Did you take up painting, by chance? If so, learn to paint happy little trees alongside the serene voice of Bob Ross with Beauty Is Everywhere: Collection 1, which is leaving on May 30. Can you survive without knowing how to paint snow on a majestic mountain or a flock of birds flying off into a beautiful sunset? We hope so.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Don your Newsboy Cap and sharpen up on your Brummie accent because there's a Peaky Blinders game on the way. Publisher Curve Digital has announced Peaky Blinders: Mastermind, a puzzle-adventure game based on the popular TV show about gangsters in early 20th century Birmingham, England. It's coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC sometime this summer.Developed by FuturLab--a British studio known for creating Velocity 2X--Peaky Blinders: Mastermind is set right before the first season of the BBC show. You'll join the Shelby family criminal organisation, as the game taps into Tommy's penchant for planning complex scenarios in his head: forming strategies and taking control of key members of the Shelby family in the thick of the action."There’s a point in the show where Tommy Shelby explains he has no concern for the past, nor the future; all he cares about is a crucial moment he recalls the soldier's minute," explains James Marsden, game director at FuturLab. "We designed our game around that idea, allowing the player to plan actions backward and forward in time, choreographing an ensemble cast of characters to synchronise their actions during these crucial moments. The player gets to feel like the smart and sophisticated leader that Tommy is, so we think becoming the mastermind will resonate with fans of the show and gamers alike."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Ubisoft has kicked off a brand-new sale that's full of its best digital PC games. Whether you're skulking the hallways of your squad's objective in Rainbow Six Siege, fighting for the freedom of Washington and New York in The Division 2, or assassinating baddies throughout history in the Assassin's Creed series, you can pour hours upon hours into these games, making them perfect if you're stuck at home and looking for something to pass the time. If you're looking to jump into Siege, then I definitely recommend grabbing no less than the Deluxe edition, as you'll gain access to the first two years of DLC operators. The base game's operators need to be unlocked with in-game currency, and the Deluxe edition gets you 16 of the game's best DLC operators unlocked up front. If you want to get into Siege, this is the perfect opportunity to test out several different characters on the cheap. If you're looking for an action-RPG that you can play with your friends, then The Division 2 is only $9.90. The game sees you shooting and looting your way through Washington, DC, as you fight against dangerous gangs who have claimed the Capital for themselves. It recently saw the release of the Warlords of New York expansion, which brings players back to the first game's setting, New York--albeit a different part of Manhattan.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Ants are a rare bug in Animal Crossing: New Horizons that can show up all day, all year, but require some specific conditions to catch. It's simple, but time consuming. Ants will only appear on rotting food, and there doesn't appear to be a way to make fruit rot in New Horizons, even if you leave it on the ground for weeks. Turnips are exempt from this--they're the only way to get ants to show up on your island that we know of. Here's what you need to do.How To Catch An AntTo catch ants in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you need to follow this step-by-step guide:Buy turnips from Daisy MaeSet aside 10 turnipsLeave them for one week to rotCatch ants that appear on the spoiled turnipsAnts trailing off of a spoiled turnip in New Horizons. This sounds simple, but there are a few extra things to be aware of. Ants will appear on spoiled turnips as a long colony, taking bits of turnip away into an ant hill. If you miss with your net, they will scatter and disappear, but don't worry! Just leave the spoiled turnip on the ground and return later. Ants will eventually re-appear. Rain may prevent them from showing up, so if it's raining on your island, just have patience and come back when the weather clears up.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
