Ricky Gervais' Netflix show After Life recently returned for a second season, but whether or not it will get picked up for a third go-around has not been confirmed at this stage. In a Periscope Q&A, Gervais said Season 3 is not guaranteed. The comedian and actor--who wrote and directed all episodes of After Life--said he has "ideas" for what could happen next. A Season 3 would be notable in part because no show that Gervais created has ever moved beyond two seasons. "I don't know. I've got ideas for it. I'd love to do a Season 3, for the first time ever," Gervais said. The actor said the response to After Life Season 2 has been incredibly positive so far. If the show continues to get buzz and eyeballs, Netflix might pick it up for another season.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Once you complete Final Fantasy 7 Remake once, you'll unlock a tougher challenge: Hard Mode. This version of the game requires you to be on your toes in every single battle, while taking away some of the key elements you might have relied upon in Normal Mode to get you through. Hard Mode is the only way to fully upgrade your weapons with Manuscripts, unlock the toughest boss battles in the game to earn its best accessory, and get the chance to make choices that will let you see additional scenes. We have some essential tips that will help you best all the amped-up foes you'll face in Final Fantasy 7 Remake's Hard Mode. And if you want more, we've got tons of FF7 Remake guides, walkthroughs, tips, and analysis.1. Conserve MPThere are very few ways to replenish MP in Hard Mode, so save it for healing. That means you'll want to conserve MP as much as possible; only use spells when you absolutely must, and save most of your MP for healing spells, as without items, you're locked out of replenishing HP or reviving downed teammates in almost any other way. Using MP Up Materia can help you get more MP out of your teammates, but you'll want to consider carefully which character you use for which magic job. Try to remember ways to game the system, too: Aerith's Arcane Ward doubles your spell output for the same cost and her Siphon Soul ability steals MP from enemies. Some weapon upgrades cut down on spell costs, too, which can be seriously beneficial.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Sakura Wars is perhaps the most anime game that I've ever played. There are plenty of games out there based on popular anime, yes, but when it comes to feeling like you're an active part of an ongoing, episodic adventure filled with quirky characters, dramatic action, and satisfying melodrama, Sakura Wars has everything else beat. Its structure, charming cast, and whirlwind story help set it apart from other colorful anime-inspired adventures, and, much like the characters whose stories it tells, it manages to overcome many of its flaws to become a satisfying experience in the end.For the uninitiated, the entire concept of Sakura Wars is rather offbeat. This particular game is a semi-reboot of a long-running Japanese game series of the same name, set in an alternate 1940s Japan where steam technology quickly surpassed electricity and history took a very different path. The world's nations, rather than fighting each other in World Wars, took arms against demonic invaders with armies of steam-powered fighting robots called Spiricle Strikers. Oh yes, and these armies also operate semi-covertly as theatre troupes whose members consisted mostly of young women. It's a lot to take in, and it's compounded by the fact that only one other Sakura Wars game has made the voyage Westward, though some related media (like anime and manga adaptations) have seen release here. Still, if you're coming in totally blind to the Sakura Wars concept and mythos, you might find yourself rather confused, particularly when references to previous titles crop up.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Gears of War, as a series, has always required tactical planning. Understanding how to read a battlefield to find ideal cover and a path to outflanking your opponent is just as essential as your trusty Lancer assault rifle. Still, it's surprising just how well the series translates to a turn-based strategy RPG. Gears Tactics captures the chaotic, gory roller coaster energy generated by the shooters, even as your focus turns from playing a cog to maintaining the machine.Technically, Tactics is a prequel, as it takes place before the events of the original series, but it really feels like a throwaway story from the expanded canon. Though connections to the overarching Gears saga, particularly Gears 5, abound--your unit is led by Gabe Diaz, Kait's dad--Gears Tactics' story is simple and mostly detached from the larger franchise. So while the plot takes a back seat, Gears Tactics cleverly twists the formula of the modern strategy RPG, creating scenarios that fit the Gears mold. All the XCOM-inspired mechanics are there: action points that can be used to move or attack, half- and full-cover, defensive "overwatch" positioning. If you've ever so much as thought the word "tactics game," the flow will feel comfortable.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds has evolved considerably over the last few years, as have its players. On PS4 and Xbox One, their collective skill level has increased to the point that the development team is implementing bots in order to make it easier for new players to get competitive. It's likely to be a controversial change after years over only real players facing off against each other in battle royale matches. Implemented as part of the game's update 7.1, bots aren't being added to PUBG as a one-size-fits-all solution. Experienced players who perform better in battle royale matches will have a lower chance of seeing them than those who are struggling. Newer or less-skilled players are more likely to see them, and it will give them a chance to make it further in a match and practice late-game strategies such as defending a small area or placing traps. The development team created "navigation meshes" to cover every corner of the game's maps in order to guide the bots and prevent them from accidentally dying via environmental hazards. They'll still be able to navigate dangerous areas like normal players can. Bots will also consider bullet drop and trajectory when aiming at targets to make hit probability closer to a real player. They'll even target specific items as loot during each phase of the match, ensuring players will get worthwhile items after killing them.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, social distancing has become a necessity to keep people from spreading the virus. It can be difficult to understand best practices for social distancing, however, and a free Minecraft map is offering training and an explanation on its importance.Blockdown Simulator, available in Minecraft's Java Edition, was created by the design and innovation company AKQA and sees a village overrun with infectious zombies. You can play as either an observer or a nurse, and there is a tower located in the middle of the village that can spawn more villagers or zombies, raise and lower houses, and unlock and lock doors. A hospital underneath the village can cure villagers of the infection, but there is limited space and other villagers must stay uninfected in order to avoid overcrowding.Though its creators say it isn't designed to simulate our real-world pandemic, Blockdown Simulator's aim is to show the important of social distancing and how failure to do so can leave healthcare workers unable to care for the sick.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

April 26 is Alien Day, a fan holiday created to honor the legendary science-fiction horror franchise, and D3 Go's mobile game Alien: Blackout is free to help you celebrate. Available for both iOS and Android, it's a strategic and tense adventure that differs greatly from the series' other games.Rather than control a survivor directly, such as Ellen Ripley's daughter Amanda, Alien: Blackout tasks you with guiding them through a damaged space station and away from the deadly, stalking Xenomorph. It also features permanent death for crew members if they're killed, and you can sacrifice them in order to ensure Ripley survives.Amanda Ripley previously appeared in Alien: Isolation, a first-person horror game from Creative Assembly. The game's immersive-sim exploration was mixed with a deadly alien threat that could locate you almost anywhere. Murderous androids didn't make things any easier. A true sequel has not been announced, though Alien: Blackout takes place after the game's events. You can get Alien: Isolation for just $4 on Steam as part of the celebration, too.
