Apex Legends developer Respawn has released a brand-new Stories from the Outlands trailer, Legacy of a Thief, which confirms that the young girl that Revenant orphaned in the Season 4: Assimilation launch trailer is Loba Andrade. The talented thief will be added as a playable character in Apex Legends Season 5: Fortune's Favor alongside a new Quests mode.Like Octane, Wattson, Crypto, and Revenant before her, Loba was datamined prior to her official reveal--leading to fan speculation that she would ultimately become a playable legend in Respawn's battle royale game. However, there always was a nugget of doubt, given that Respawn included character files for Forge as a smokescreen to trick dataminers into thinking he would be Season 4's new character.Loba's abilities haven't been detailed yet. However, on the Apex Legends website, Respawn describes the legend as, "Stylish, sophisticated, and resourceful, whatever Loba wants, she takes. Good luck stopping her." So her passive, tactical, and ultimate abilities could have something to do with finding and/or stealing loot--which would probably be a powerful addition to a battle royale game. A new batch of challenges is now live in Fortnite. In addition to this week's secret No Right to Bear Arms challenge, which asks you to disarm gnomes and bears to prevent them from going to war, there's the first set of Season 2 Overtime missions, one of which ironically asks you to destroy gnomes in Camp Cod or Fort Crumpet. Directors and former stuntmen Chad Stahelski and David Leitch announced today that they're returning to The Matrix series to help coordinate the upcoming fourth instalment's action scenes. The Game Developers Conference is shifting plans once again in response to the coronavirus pandemic. Though it had been postponed to the summer, organizers now say it will shift to an all-digital event in order to keep participants safe and best serve the community. "As so many game developers embrace remote working arrangements and online collaboration, we're inspired to adapt and deliver GDC in a digital format that will be available to everyone with an internet connection, and will work hard to deliver the high-quality content and networking opportunities GDC attendees have come to expect," organizers said in a statement on the official site. GDC usually takes place in San Francisco in March. As the global health situation became more pressing, organizers at first announced it would move ahead with extra precautions to stem the spread of the virus. Shortly after, it postponed to an indefinite time in the summer, and then in March it announced new dates: August 4-6. Apex Legends is getting a new mode, Quests, when Season 5: Fortune's Favor starts in May and adds Loba as a playable character. Respawn hasn't provided many details about Quests, but it sounds like it could be a single-player or multiplayer PvE game mode."When Apex Legends Season 5: Fortune's Favor arrives on May 12, players will find a new game mode, Quests, that will have players hunting for treasure and answers each season," Respawn writes in a press release. The production of many Hollywood movies might be currently suspended, but films continue to be put into development. Disney has had much recent success with live-action remakes of its classic animated movies, and it's now been reported that a new movie of Hercules is in the works.According to Variety, the live-action version of the 1997 film Hercules will be produced by Avengers: Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo. The site states that the project is in "early development," and that Dave Callaham has been hired to work on the script.
