Call of Duty Mobile recently launched its western-themed season update, Once Upon a Time in Rust. But the mobile game has a lot more planned for the coming months, as outlined in a broad-ranging content roadmap. That includes new seasonal challenges, a new event, and more. You also shouldn't have to wait as long before hearing about future content, so there will almost always be something to look forward to next. The roadmap image gives a quick overview of all the content coming over the next several weeks. The left side is dedicated to general content drops that came alongside the season update, while the right side outlines other additions that will continue to drop throughout the rest of the season. Those include the Saloon multiplayer map, 1v1 Duel, and Tactical Grenade Cryo Bomb in mid-May. The Poltergeist class will then arrive in late May.The studio also noted that these roadmaps will be made available before the launch of future seasons to give players a quick overview of what's coming.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

The second season of the Disney+ Star Wars TV show The Mandalorian has already been filmed, but thus far not a lot is known about what to expect. There have been reports that Rosario Dawson was cast to play a live-action Ahsoka Tano, and there will surely be plenty more Baby Yoda. Other than that, though, we have learned a little casting news and some of the episode directors, but not much about the plot.A new report, though, suggests that a major Star Wars character will play a role in the season when it debuts. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Star Wars: Attack of the Clones actor Temuera Morrison will appear on the show. In that film, Morrison played Mandalorian bounty hunter Jango Fett. Now, based on THR's report, he will play the iconic role of Boba Fett--who was revealed to be a clone of Jango in the prequels. While it's not believed that Boba Fett will play a big role in Season 2, there's no telling if he will end up being a recurring character as the show moves into Season 3, which is reportedly in the works.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

The first major update for Doom Eternal is on the way, and it's bringing a major feature that could change the course of a battle: Empowered Demons. Your in-game struggles could make another player's life even harder in the campaign mode, but there is a reward for beating one.Empowered Demons will soon arrive to Doom Eternal in a free update. When a player is killed, the demon who killed them will be powered up and transported to a separate player's game. If this demon is killed, the player will get bonus health and ammunition, as well as experience for their overall Doom Eternal level. The campaign's later battles are already challenging, and this should take things to the next level.Battlemode has also been tweaked, offering a death report feature so players can learn more about what went wrong in a match. There are also changes to the tutorial to make it easier to learn, and new anti-cheat features. Given the delicate difficulty balance necessary between the Slayer and the two demons, keeping things fair is essential.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Friday the 13th is one of the most enduring horror franchise of all time. For better or for worse, the slasher flick series has moved with the times and, movie after movie, teens in peril have met their end at the hands of Jason--with some help from other pretenders along the way.Of course, the kills haven't come easy for everyone's favourite hockey mask-adorned murderer. He's had to die and come back over and over, and each time the circumstances change and become a bit less comprehensible, though still enjoyable for the most part. Needless to say, the Friday the 13th timeline is messy.Even if you've been following it from the very start, it can be difficult to keep track of who is doing what, why, when, and, of course, how they meet their gruesome and untimely end. Thankfully, we've put together a comprehensive explanation of how it all shakes out, from the very beginning of the story where a bunch of teens are hunted in camp, to the modern day, by which point the action has travelled to space and back. Join us, as we go through the complete Friday the 13th timeline.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Doom Eternal is one of the best shooters released in 2020 thus far, but it's also a much more difficult game than 2016's Doom. If you're playing on PC and are having trouble ripping and tearing through waves of demons, then a new mod could be what you need.Available on Nexus Mods, the "Eternal Gameplay Overhaul" mod changes how several different weapons operate and how abilities work in Doom Eternal's campaign mode. The changes include faster rate of fire for the Chaingun and Shotgun weapons, as well as a slower rate of fire for the Assault Rife in order to waste less ammunition. The Plasma Rifle has some of the more significant changes, being turned into a semi-automatic weapon in order to differentiate it from the rest of the arsenal.Upgrade costs have also been reduced on weapons, meaning you'll be able to power up your arsenal more quickly than in the original version, and ammo and armory capacity upgrades have also been increased. The height of the double-jump ability has also been improved slightly, though you shouldn't be able to get into unintended areas.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Val Kilmer taken on some huge roles in his time, including Jim Morrison in The Doors and Doc Holliday in Tombstone, but there's one major role he took that perhaps did him more harm than good. Val Kilmer played Batman in 1995's somewhat ironically titled Batman Forever, and dropped out before Batman and Robin. The reviews were not kind--and neither was director Joel Schumacher, who has not been particularly charitable when talking about the actor. Now, in a lengthy (and excellent) deep-dive into his career and current life with The New York Times, Kilmer--who has difficulty speaking now after receiving a tracheostomy for throat cancer--has opened up about the role. Although he has previously cited scheduling conflicts as the reason for stepping away, it turns out that Kilmer just outright did not enjoy playing Batman, and that a set visit led to a realization for him.In the piece, Kilmer recalls that Warren Buffett and his grandchildren visited the set to meet Batman, and that he stayed around in the suit for their sake. However, once the kids arrived, it became clear that they didn't actually care about meeting Batman, and wanted to play with his gadgets instead. "That’s why it’s so easy to have five or six Batmans," he told the reporter. "It’s not about Batman. There is no Batman." On top of this, the suit was extremely uncomfortable to wear. The article also shows off a weird trinket from Kilmer's home--a big, detailed Batman statue, with Batman's head removed and replaced with the head of Mark Twain.Val Kilmer is set to appear in Top Gun Maverick on December 23, reprising the role of Iceman. The recent Inside Xbox presentation promised the first look at gameplay for the upcoming Xbox Series X, with the big-budget Assassin's Creed Valhalla serving as the marquee item. And while it technically did show glimpses of gameplay, some fans felt disappointed at slick trailers that looked like cinematics. Xbox marketing head Aaron Greenberg is acknowledging the issue, chalking it up to poorly managing expectations. In a tweet replying to a fan, Greenberg said that "clearly we set some wrong expectations." He suggested that if the Inside Xbox presentation had just been aired without the promises, the reaction might have been more positive. This was also the conclusion of GameSpot's Chris Pereira, who wrote in an op-ed following the presentation that the central problem was how Microsoft managed expectations. "A sizzle reel is all well and good," he concluded, "but this first look from Microsoft has shown the critical importance of properly setting expectations."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
