Peacock, NBCUniversal's entry to the increasingly crowded streaming service market, is set for a full launch on July 15. While pandemic delays mean we'll have to wait a while longer for many of its most anticipated shows to debut, Variety reported today that Peacock will go live with a few higher-profile originals, including an adaptation of Aldous Huxley's 1932 sci-fi novel, Brave New World. The series stars Solo: A Star Wars Story's Alden Ehrenreich as the book's John, alongside Jessica Brown Findlay (Downton Abbey) as Lenina Crowne and Harry Lloyd (Game of Thrones) as Bernard Marx. As in the novel, Brave New World is set in a far-future world where the genetically engineered citizens of an autocratic government are forced to question their society's structure after a man born outside of their system's rules is brought into their city, becoming an iconoclastic celebrity in the process.Variety also details the launch of other originals, like The Capture, "a conspiracy thriller" starring Holliday Grainger (Patrick Melrose), Callum Turner (Fantastic Beasts), Ron Perlman (Hellboy), and Famke Janssen (X-Men). The drama series is described as a look into the "troubling world of fake news and the extraordinary capabilities of the intelligence services." Peacock will also include Intelligence, "a workplace comedy set in the UK's Government Communications Headquarters" starring David Schwimmer, a sports documentary series about Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte called In Deep With Ryan Lochte, and an animated Curious George show aimed at younger viewers.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Hayner and news editor of entertainment Mat Elfring have a very serious debate before things ultimately get very silly.First up, the Wrestle Buddies look at the current state of televised wrestling and debate which company is handling their weekly shows without an audience better, WWE or AEW. Both have their pros and cons and, ultimately, we all win because there's so much wrestling to watch right now.Next, Chris and Mat revisit a time when WCW was desperate for ratings and enlisted none other than the rock band KISS to design its own wrestler. Was it a massive hit that saved the company from the brink of destruction? Of course not, WCW went out of business a year later. Still, it was a very weird time to be a wrestling fan.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

A lengthy gameplay demonstration for Ghost of Tsushima gave us all kinds of new details, from exploration and combat to customization options. But there was one tiny detail that took us by surprise: you can pet a fox.The adorable detail didn't last long, but it came just as creative director Jason Connell was starting to wrap up his segment on exploration. He mentioned that there are details all over the world to explore, like mountainous paths marked with gates, or foxes showing you a hidden den to explore. Over that segment we saw a brief glimpse of the hero, Jin, scruffing the fuzzy mane of a fox. There's no indication elsewhere that you have the fox as a companion, so it seems more likely that it's just a feral creature that you'll run into once in a while. And since petting a real wild fox is probably not such a good idea, this is one more fantasy video games can help you live out--along with being a samurai.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

The gameplay demonstration for Ghost of Tsushima showed lots of details, including exploration, customization, and most importantly, adorable wildlife. But the vast majority of time was spent detailing the combat, which comes in two distinct types: the honorable direct combat, and the dishonorable fear-based stealth.Game director Nate Fox walked us through the differences between the two. When engaging in direct combat, you essentially march up to the enemy and announce your presence, thus starting a combat sequence. The combat seemed very parry-based in this way, as the hero Jin waited for his opponent to strike and then countered with deadly force. Other combatants took swipes after dispatching one soldier, and Jin took them all down with one-hit finishers in quick succession.Fox said you can use normal sword swings, but it's better to use timing and precision for exacting damage. You can switch between combat stances, and you're adept enough to counter both sword swipes and arrow shots. And true to the honorable path, you can pay respects to the deceased after you've dispatched them.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
