On Wednesday, May 27 a new streaming services launches called HBO Max. The latest service is from WarnerMedia, and while "HBO" is in the title, it's far more than just programming from the cable network. In fact, it includes content from Warner Bros., Crunchyroll, DC, TNT, and more. But what is HBO Max, how much will it cost, and what does it include?HBO Max is one of the big streaming service launches in 2020, right alongside NBCUniversal's Peacock, which already had a soft launch and will be available nationally in July. WarnerMedia's HBO Max will have some tough competition going up against streaming giants Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Hulu. However, it's huge back catalog should give it a good head start. One of the more confusing things about HBO Max, for some people, is its difference between the already established HBO Go and HBO Now.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Christopher Nolan's upcoming movie, Tenet, has received a new trailer that debuted first in the battle royale game Fortnite (to a torrent of plungers aimed at the virtual screen, unsurprisingly) and is now available everywhere online. Take a look. The trailer sets up a currently nameless protagonist, played by John David Washington, who can apparently "invert" time (thus the stylized title "TENET" flipped upside down). We don't exactly get to see how or to what extent he can do this--or if he's alone in these powers, but there are some critical clues to be found. Namely, we get to see him fire a gun in reverse ("you're not shooting the bullets, you're catching them") and, later, a car crash happening and then un-happening. Basically, it's exactly what you might expect from a Nolan movie at this point.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 will revisit some iconic levels from the series' past, but it's also modernizing several elements--including the skaters. In a new video, Steve Caballero--who first appeared in Pro Skater 2 back in 2000--has revealed that he mo-capped new facial expressions for his in-game character, who looks just like he does now.In the video below, Caballero says that he now sees a lot of skaters doing the tricks from these games in real-life, and we get a look at the motion capture set-up that is being used to capture the current-day look of these characters. Although they did not capture Caballero on a skateboard--he says they wanted to get new facial expressions from him--the new in-game model looks a lot like him.The video also shows Caballero skating through the first game's Warehouse level--which confirms, essentially, that characters introduced in the sequel will be able to skate through levels from the first.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

What the Golf, 2019's hilarious anti-golf golf game, is at its best on Switch. Everything that was good in the Apple Arcade and PC versions, which we reviewed last year, remains good here, but the additions and improvements that the Switch version brings make it the definitive What the Golf experience. The game arrives on Nintendo's hybrid console with a new two-player "Party Mode" that wasn't included in the PC or Apple Arcade releases. This mode, which sees you and another player each picking up a Joy-Con and facing off in a series of competitive levels, is an absolute hoot. Both players are made to compete across 11 random levels, each based on levels from the campaign, to see who can get to the hole first. There's a great diversity across Party Mode's levels, with some levels feeling more like puzzles, some purely based on skill, and others that could only work in multiplayer, like when you're both controlling separate items that are tethered to each other or trying to goad the other into tipping over a tower of boxes that the pin is sitting atop. There are lots of levels here, and I still saw new ones pop up after playing for several hours. In keeping with What the Golf's style, very few of Party Mode's levels really feel like golf, which is part of the fun. After you've played through 11 stages, you and your opponent compete in one final competitive arena-based game, and the number of lives each of you has depends on how well you did in previous rounds. There are only three types of final competition, but they're all fun, particularly the combat-based game where you fling around in an office chair, trying to pick up and fire explosive beach balls at your opponent. Your victory depends on how you perform in this final game, and how many lives you have--if you won seven of the previous rounds, you can take up to six hits in the final competition, whereas your opponent can only survive three. A full round of games in Party Mode rarely takes more than 10 minutes, and you only ever need the analog stick and the A button. These are less mini-games, more micro-games, often lasting just a few wild, hilarious seconds.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Overwatch turns four years old this Sunday, May 24, and Blizzard is releasing some new content to celebrate. As part of the game's latest update, Patch 1.48, Blizzard has introduced some new skins and anniversary challenges, including Carbon Fiber Sigma and Masked Man McCree. During this event, players can unlock items from past events with credits, or by opening lootboxes.Among these festivities, the patch introduces a few changes to the game. Chief among these is a complete overhaul to the communications wheel. Players can now customize the location of key commands and call-outs. Blizzard has also removed the limit that previously prevented players from using multiple commands in a short timeframe, although spamming commands will cause delays. The patch also marks the start of Season 3 of the game's competitive deathmatch.Overwatch's previous big patch added a new hero to the game, the robotic Echo, who can duplicate the abilities of any hero in her sight. Game director Jeff Kaplan indicated that Echo will be the last character added to Overwatch until the game's sequel is released. Though Overwatch 2 is confirmed for current platforms--including Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Xbox One--there's no word on a release date yet. The first new hero for Overwatch 2, Sojourn, was revealed back in November 2019.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

The biggest addition in Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition is a new epilogue story called Future Connected, which is set one year after the events of the base game and follows Shulk and Melia on a quest to the Bionis' shoulder. Now we have an idea of how long this epilogue story is.In an interview with Weekly Famitsu (as translated by Gematsu), Monolith Soft head and Xenoblade director Tetsuya Takahashi estimates that Future Connected takes 10-12 hours to clear if you focus strictly on the story, and about 20 hours to complete if you factor in all of the side content.Although Future Connected is set after Xenoblade Chronicles, Nintendo confirmed that it'll be available right from the outset, so you don't need to play through the main game first to access it. However, the title won't include two features from the 3DS version: Amiibo support and Collection Mode.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
