Listen, I know we just recently got our hands on the long-awaited reimagining to one of the most beloved games ever with Final Fantasy 7 Remake. But as the first wave of folks work their way to finishing this 40-hour(ish) journey through Midgar--which was just the opening portion of the original game--we naturally begin to wonder where FF7 Remake goes from here. You probably have questions, like how many parts will it be, or how long will we have to wait for Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2, or whatever the next entry is called? When will the game release, and do we know if it will even really be a sequel? Will it launch on the same system, the PS4, or a new one?For one, I would say relax and let the development team do their thing, because as a reminder, the next part in FF7 Remake is currently in development. In a Square Enix blog post back in November 2019, game director Tetsuya Nomura stated, "We've already begun working on the next one as well, but I'm confident that playing through this title will expand your expectations just like the world that extends beyond Midgar."Our own senior editor Edmond Tran had a conversation with producer Yoshinori Kitase just last month, and asked Kitase-san how he feels about the possibility of working on FF7 Remake for the rest of his career. He said he isn't worried about the commitment, concluding, "I think it is a very important thing." He also echoed Nomura-san's assertion, saying that the team isn't taking a break from the Remake project and that they'll "get straight to it." (You can read GameSpot's full interview with Kitase-san for more.)Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

The weekly reset on May 12 brought something new to Destiny 2: a quest called The Lie. It started with a big community event that requires players to band together and complete Seraph Tower events all over the solar system, and ends with a bunch of new Rasputin lore and a powerful new shotgun: Felwinter's Lie.The community-wide step is complete, allowing players to progress the rest of the quest on their own. Unfortunately, the quest was slowed pretty significantly, thanks to a bug that messed up The Lie's final step, a mission called "The Tyrant." A new patch has fixed that step, so everyone can now complete it. Here's how to get Felwinter's Lie in your collection as quickly and painlessly as possible. The Lie Quest StepsWarmind EvaluationThe first portion of the quest requires you to visit Ana Bray, who says that the warmind Rasputin has information it wants to share with you--but not before the situation with the Almighty, the threat that has loomed over the entire Season of the Worthy, has been satisfactorily dealt with. To get it handled, you and the rest of the Destiny 2 community needed to head to the EDZ, Io, and the Moon, and complete Seraph Tower activities. The good news is, that part is done.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Blizzard is issuing a new update to Diablo 3 in the public test realm (PTR) to put the next update through its paces before it becomes widely available. The 2.6.9 patch was originally going to begin its testing run on Thursday, May 21, but according to an update on the Blizzard forums, the patch has actually been delayed to next week to allow for "additional QA time" to fix bugs and other issues. It's now scheduled to arrive the week of May 24, slightly past its initially-scheduled launch.“We discovered some issues that came up and are needing some additional QA time with the build as we want to make sure we get something out that is thoroughly vetted on our end. Developer Infinity Ward has confirmed that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will get a large update introducing new content later this week on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. This includes the return of an old franchise map, which is available to play right now. Hardhat, which was last seen in 2011's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, has been added to Modern Warfare's 24/7 multiplayer playlist. It is a close-quarters map made for fast-paced skirmishes, but with enough sightlines for long-range fire as well. This should make it particularly challenging and ensure that teams make use of multiple loadouts. Without doing so, they risk leaving themselves open to ambushes or sniper fire. [Update: The new update is out now, introducing both this and the new Aisle 9 map to the game, alongside other changes to both it and Warzone. You can read about everything new in the full Call of Duty May 18 update patch notes. The recent patch has also made various balance changes, as well as introduced new elements to the battle royale Warzone--including finally opening the vaults.]What is old is now new with the return of the Hardhat map.Of course, Hardhat is not the only addition to Modern Warfare this week. The studio added a new Gunfight map to multiplayer, as well as the "Ghost Pack Contingency" bundle that includes two new weapon blueprints, and more.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

We aren't even halfway through 2020 yet, and Sony has already revealed several details regarding the PS5, its next-generation console. We've learned about the console's technical specs, as well as its new DualSense controller and certain games, and the official website is live. We've even seen Unreal Engine 5 gameplay running on the system, and though it was not of a full game, the technical specifications of the system mean we would be approaching photorealism. We've also heard reports of what could very well be this year's Call of Duty game, which will almost certainly release on PS5.It's planned to arrive this holiday season, and though Sony hasn't revealed a final date or price, it will reportedly still arrive in 2020 and the ongoing pandemic is not impacting this timeline. However, a Bloomberg report indicates we may need to prepare for lower-than-expected supplies at launch, as well as possibly reduced or altered promotion compared to Sony's typical product releases.First, we know what the console's official name will be: Unsurprisingly, the console is indeed called the PlayStation 5, just as was to be expected. Additionally, we've learned what the logo looks like, and it's equally unsurprising. The classic PlayStation symbol will also appear on the controller, called the DualSense. The controller’s name reflects its expanded capabilities, including more haptic feedback compared to the DualShock 4 and variable resistance in the triggers. The controller sports a new look, as well, with a two-tone black and white design. During 2019, it was revealed that the PS5 will also have PS4 backwards compatibility and SSD storage, and it will support PSVR. The company has also outlined some green, energy-efficient initiatives it is planning for the next generation.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

The update is available now so if you own Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and/or Warzone on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, you should be able to download it the next time you load up the game, but be aware--it's a fairly large download size, weighing in at a massive 30.86 GB on Xbox One. Expect a similar size on PS4 and PC as well. However, if you only have Warzone installed, it should be smaller. Infinity Ward has posted the full patch notes for the update, which you can see below. Animal Crossing: New Horizons is full of little details--so much so that people keep discovering new things about how the game works. One such discovery is by Reddit user PraiseHolo, who observed an interesting pattern when resetting their island: It seems that the color of your airport might determine the colors of some of the items you have access to, though the theory doesn't appear to be completely supported yet because of an apparent contradiction with snack machine colors. By now, you might have noticed that different New Horizons players have differently colored versions of certain items. For every item that has multiple color options, you have a "native" color to your island, and that's the only color that will be sold at Nook's Cranny. On top of that, you also have a selection of items you can redeem Nook Miles for at the machine in Resident Services, and these items are also locked to one color per island. The Nook Miles rewards are the items that seem to be affected by airport color. You can see the alleged breakdown of color options in the graphic below, made and posted by PraiseHolo. (Note that this is not confirmed.)A possible breakdown of Nook Miles rewards colors by airport color and set, according to Reddit user PraiseHolo's research (via PraiseHolo on Reddit).PraiseHolo explained in the Reddit thread that they were resetting their island to try to get a blue airport and black streetlamps, among other things. "After many resets and playing the starting quest about 8 times (up until the upgraded resident services so I could check the streetlamp color), I realized I was only getting green streetlamps, and after some more resets I noticed that also happened with other furniture in the Nook Stop as well, such as the teacup ride. After digging through some people's Nook Stop images, I figured the furniture color isn't entirely random, they're tied in a group, and the streetlamp color is locked with the airport color, and that's why it was impossible for me to get black streetlamps AND a blue airport."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

There are a lot of different ways to make money in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and one of the best is by fishing for rare species. Similarly to bugs, there are tons of different types of fish that vary depending on a variety of factors, including the time of day, weather, and season. There are 80 to catch in New Horizons, and you can sell them, gift them, donate them, or display them. What you chose to do with them is up to you, but you'll need to actually catch them before making that decision. Below, we have two tables--one for the Northern Hemisphere and one for the Southern Hemisphere--listing every fish in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, where and when you can catch them, and how much you can sell them for (which is a good way to make money in Animal Crossing). We've also broken down the fundamentals of fishing in Animal Crossing, including how to craft your first fishing rod, everything that can affect how and when fish spawn, and which seasonal fish you should focus on each month. If you're determined to fill out your museum, you should also check out our guide to Redd's art and how to tell real art from the fakes. Microsoft has been drip-feeding information about its next-gen console, Xbox Series X, ever since it was first revealed at The Game Awards 2019--we've heard details about how Xbox Series X will handle backwards compatibility, for example, as well as what the console's specs will be. Looking a lot like a PC tower, the Xbox Series X is a console powerhouse able to pull off variable-rate shading and ray-tracing, a quick resume function, and a brand-new "smart delivery" feature. Its controller is similar in design to the one for Xbox One, though it's fairly different from PlayStation 5's DualSense. Most recently, we may have gotten a tease of the Xbox Series X boot screen and sound, as part of Microsoft's announcement for a first-look Xbox Series X gameplay event taking place on May 7. We also got confirmation that the console will make use of the same Unreal 5 technology possible on PS5, meaning there should be little issue for the same games to run on both.Below, we compile everything there is to know about Xbox Series X--from its announcement as Project Scarlett to today. So if you're looking for a more comprehensive overview, including information on storage and playing your current Xbox One games, keep reading. We'll update this article as more details are shared; critical details like an exact release date, price, and whether there will be more than one model of the system in 2020 are among the many topics we're still waiting for Microsoft to nail down.Table of Contents [hide]NameNameOnce known as Project Scarlett, the official name for Microsoft's next-gen console is Xbox Series X. The biggest addition in Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition is a new epilogue story called Future Connected, which is set one year after the events of the base game and follows Shulk and Melia on a quest to the Bionis' shoulder. Now we have an idea of how long this epilogue story is.In an interview with Weekly Famitsu (as translated by Gematsu), Monolith Soft head and Xenoblade director Tetsuya Takahashi estimates that Future Connected takes 10-12 hours to clear if you focus strictly on the story, and about 20 hours to complete if you factor in all of the side content.Although Future Connected is set after Xenoblade Chronicles, Nintendo confirmed that it'll be available right from the outset, so you don't need to play through the main game first to access it. However, the title won't include two features from the 3DS version: Amiibo support and Collection Mode.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
