The Redstone Monstrosity is one of the most challenging bosses in Minecraft Dungeons. It appears at the end of the Fiery Forge, and is aesthetically similar to the smaller--but no less irritating--Redstone Golems. The Redstone Monstrosity is a massive piece of machinery engineered by a variety of Pillagers at the deepest depths of the Fiery Forge. In April, Battlefield V developers DICE promised that the game would receive one last big update, which will arrive in June as Update 7.0. The latest "This Week in Battlefield V" update on Reddit confirms that the June content update is coming, and will be the last big one for the game--but a comment made by one developer also clears up some potential misconceptions around the game's path forward.A comment from Braddock512--the game's community manager--clarifies that while there will not be new content coming to the game, this is not the "final" update. "It's the last content update--but we plan on dropping fixes and there will be the Community Games Update to add more tools to the feature," he writes. "There will be new/returning playlists when Update 7.0/June Update drops."While major updates are ending, and players should perhaps not expect anything too major after Update 7.0, it sounds like the game won't become static and unchanging after the update.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition is just as vast and fantastical as it was in 2010. While not every aspect has aged gracefully, Monolith Soft's lengthy role-playing game has withstood the test of time and further cements itself as one of the most memorable JRPGs in the last decade.Although Xenoblade Chronicles' opening hours may seem standard fare for JRPGs story-wise, what sets it apart right from the get-go is its setting. Years before the events of the game, two massive titans, Bionis and Mechonis, were locked in a devastating battle of unfathomable proportions. One day, the titans froze, and life started to pop up on the backs of these enormous figures. To put things into perspective, Colony 9--where protagonist Shulk lives--and the sprawling plains and lake surrounding it are located near the Bionis' ankle.Despite Xenoblade Chronicles's age, its sense of scale is still impressive. Throughout your journey you explore wide-open plains, dense forests, snow-capped mountains, and vast lakes. All the while, Mechonis looms over you as you explore every corner of Bionis.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

While there aren't any horror movies arriving in theaters--because theaters are closed due to the coronavirus pandemic--you can still get your scares at home. Check out what's coming to Shudder in June.Shudder has an original film headed to the service on June 11 called Warning: Do Not Play. Director Kim Jin-won takes audiences on a journey surrounding the film industry. A friend tells her about a movie that was supposedly filmed by a ghost and Mi-jung begins to work on a film about her own journey finding this movie. While the search for an urban legend movie with supernatural ties sounds familiar--The Ring/Ringu--Warning: Do Not Play looks as though it's heading in a completely different direction. Check out the trailer below.Another Shudder original hitting the service in June is Yummy. Arriving on June 25, Yummy is a bit of a new take on the zombie genre. A couple heads to a hospital in Eastern Europe to get plastic surgery. However, the young man discovers that the hospital is ground zero for the zombie outbreak. It's a bizarre idea, and it will be pretty cool to see "patient zero" of the zombie apocalypse--a genre that tends to focus more on the aftermath of the outbreak. It's been a long six years since P.T. changed the face of horror gaming forever. But while the long-cancelled Silent Hills may never emerge, you can at least get your Silent Hill fix in Dead By Daylight. The team behind the frighteningly popular asymmetric horror game--which pits four survivors against a super-powerful monster--has announced some upcoming Silent Hill DLC, which releases on June 16.According to the trailer, the DLC will include Silent Hill 2 antagonist Pyramid Head (also known as the Executioner) and Silent Hill 3 protagonist Cheryl Mason as playable characters, along with Midwich Elementary School, an important level from the very first Silent Hill. While the trailer doesn't mention a price, Dead by Daylight's licensed DLCs vary in price from $7 to $12, and are not able to be purchased with the game's free currency. All aspects of the new Silent Hill Chapter are now live in Dead By Daylight's Public Test Build.Dead By Daylight's latest DLC, Chains of Hate, was released back in March. Last September, the game's Stranger Things DLC came out, which added the Demogorgon and several other features to the game. Rumors of a Silent Hill revamp have swirled throughout 2020, and Konami flatly denied them back in March, but with this reveal, it's hard to know what to believe now.Info from Gamespot.com

Breaking from longstanding tradition, the next round of PlayStation Plus freebies began before the new month even arrived. PS4 users can now grab one of June's free games, Call of Duty: WWII. The second freebie will be announced later this week, and we imagine it will go live on June 2, the first Tuesday of the month.Developed by Sledgehammer Games, Call of Duty: WWII originally released in 2017 and brought the series back to its original World War II-era setting for the first time since World at War in 2008. Call of Duty: WWII is particularly known for having a strong single-player campaign, which clocks in around six hours. The online servers are still live, and while they aren't extremely active, you can expect the player count to tick up since far more people will have access to it on PS4.In addition to the campaign and traditional multiplayer playlists, WWII also has a fun narrative-focused War mode with unique maps and lengthy attack/defend objectives. The strong package earned the first-person shooter a 9/10 in our Call of Duty: WWII review: "Ultimately, if every shooter set in the European Theater of World War II is measured by how it depicts its D-Day landing--assuming it has such a mission--Call of Duty: WWII emphatically succeeds in its impactful designs and delivery. The sensation of riding the troop carrier as it approached the beach filled me with depression more than dread, knowing I'd survive eventually while many of my surrounding brothers in arms wouldn't. While not equally emotional, this battle's reinterpretation in War mode proves to be a highlight in a superb suite of competitive modes," we wrote. If you're looking to jump in, check out our Call of Duty: WWII tips and tricks roundup for all of our guides.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Minecraft Dungeons, the new dungeon crawler Minecraft spin-off that puts adventuring, looting, and combat above building and crafting, is out now on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One (included in Xbox Game Pass), and Nintendo Switch. The newly renamed Mojang Studios has put a lot into expanding Minecraft's crossplay options over the years so that players can join up in cooperative multiplayer together across different platforms, but does the recently launched Minecraft Dungeons, co-developed by Double Eleven, also support the popular feature? Here's what we know about Minecraft Dungeons crossplay.Does Minecraft Dungeons Support Crossplay? No, Minecraft Dungeons does not support crossplay across PC, PS4, Xbox One, or Nintendo Switch--at least, not yet. According to the official FAQ for Minecraft Dungeons, you will only be able to play the game with other players on the same platform for now, but Mojang Studios is looking into "enabling cross-platform play in a future free game update."However, Minecraft Dungeons still supports both local and online co-op with up to four players at launch, meaning you can still enjoy its multiplayer elements as long as it's on the same platform. But Mojang Studios does note that local co-op and online co-op cannot be played at the same time at launch--so you can either team up with friends locally or connect online, but not both at once.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
