It's got some strong competition, but Cyberpunk 2077 might just be the biggest game of 2020. It's the follow-up to developer CD Projekt Red's The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, GameSpot's 2015 Game of the Year. Cyberpunk shifts the developer's focus from the past to the future, but the choice-driven storytelling, strong characters, and evocative world-building CDPR is known for all look to be intact. It also stars Keanu Reeves as Johnny Silverhand, which is pretty cool. Though originally slated for April 16 of this year, CDPR pushed the game back to September 17. If you're looking to pre-order the game on PS4, Xbox One, or PC, there are a few things you may want to consider, such as where you want to get it and what edition you want.Developers CD Projekt Red showed off extensive gameplay footage of Cyberpunk 2077 during a livestream on last August, where we got a closer look at the combat, customization, setting, and more. You can rewatch the entire broadcast in the video above. We're set to learn more about the game later this month, as CDPR has announced a Cyberpunk 2077 livestream with info on the game set for June 25.The game is based on Mike Pondsmith's tabletop game Cyberpunk 2020, so the 2020 release date makes total sense. However, the game itself is set 57 years later in the futuristic android-filled world of Night City, where android augmentations are an integral part of people's lives. There looks to be plenty of deep customization and lots of options when it comes to first-person combat. The team has confirmed Cyberpunk 2020 will not have microtransactions, will be DRM-free on PC, and have DLC similar in size to Wild Hunt.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will be the biggest Lego Star Wars adventure yet when it launches later this year, spanning all nine Skywalker saga films, including The Rise of Skywalker. No release date has officially been announced other than "late 2020," but the game's release date may have leaked during May the 4th celebrations, when an October 20, 2020 release date was shown in a video on the official Star Wars YouTube channel and later removed. While we wait for an official release date announcement, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is already up for pre-order, and you'll probably want to place your order at Best Buy when you see the retailer's pre-order bonus.Best Buy is offering an exclusive steelbook case with all console pre-orders of Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. The silver hardcover case portrays Han Solo encased in carbonite, referencing the event in The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. The striking steelbook is available for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One versions of the game, the only difference being the Nintendo Switch case has a thinner border.Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga aims to cover a lot of ground, spanning nine films and packing in nearly 500 characters. Whether you've played older Lego Star Wars games or are new to the franchise, the Skywalker Saga will be the new definitive edition to own, as levels from older games have been completely redesigned. The game itself is non-linear, taking an open-world (or open-galaxy) approach to the saga. That means you can start playing the game at any point in the saga; for example, you can choose to start playing from A New Hope, and the world in the game will exist as it did at that point in the story. Alternatively, you could jump straight into The Last Jedi or Rise of Skywalker, which will be appearing in Lego form for the first time. With new characters, cutscenes, and a new combo system for combat, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will be a brand-new experience for both longtime fans of the series and new players. Like all Lego games, it'll include couch co-op multiplayer that's family-friendly and accessible to new gamers.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

A trailer for the new Blumhouse Pictures horror movie You Should Have Left starring Kevin Bacon and Amanda Seyfried has arrived, teasing a nightmarish get-away to a vacation home that, by all accounts, shouldn't actually exist. Take a look.Based on the novel of the same name by author Daniel Kehlmann, You Should Have Left seems to be threading the needle between psychological and traditional horror, bringing some of the mind-bending flavor of horror literature favorites like House of Leaves into the mix. The story--focusing on a couple played by Bacon and Seyfried trying to "repair their relationship" with an isolated trip to the Welsh countryside--turns deeply sinister as they realize their stylish new home seems impossible. A room, Bacon's character notes, seems to be five feet larger on the inside than it is on the outside--which, apparently, is just the beginning of their problems.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Over the past year or so, we've learned details about the PlayStation 5 through a steady but slow drip, likely since the company is still releasing two major PS4 games this year: The Last of Us Part 2 and Ghost of Tsushima. The two biggest details we've learned about the PS5 recently is what the PS5 controller, also known as the DualSense, looks like, as well as that production of the PS4 will be slower than that of its predecessor due to novel coronavirus outbreak. We've still got a lot to learn about the upcoming console, including its release date, look, and launch lineup. We're set to learn much more this week, as Sony has announced a PS5 reveal livestream for Thursday, June 11 that should hopefully answer some of our biggest questions about the console. If you want to be one of the first people to put your money down, several retailers have started sign-ups to notify users when the PS5 will be available to pre-order.When will the PS5 be available to pre-order?Best Buy, Target, and GameStop are all currently accepting sign-ups for users who wish to be notified. It's currently unclear when the PS5's pre-order date will be, but with this past generation as our reference, we expect pre-orders to become available sometime by the end of June. This is when E3 would have taken place before it was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

We've seen what the Xbox Series X controller looks like, learned details about the console's build and specs, and how the Xbox Series X will handle backward-compatibility. The Xbox Series X is still expected to launch later this year, and while it's not available to pre-order yet, you can sign up for notifications from a number of different retailers. Here's what we know about Xbox Series X's release date, price, and more.We recently saw Microsoft's first full showcase of the Xbox Series X, showing off a number of games coming to both Xbox One and Series X, with many supporting the company's "Smart Delivery" system. You can also expect more news up until launch, as Microsoft will also be releasing updates every month as part of a new "Xbox 20/20" showcase during their Inside Xbox show. When will Xbox Series X be available to pre-order?While we don't have an exact pre-order date for Xbox Series X, several retailers--including Best Buy, Target, and GameStop--are now letting people sign up to be notified when the Xbox Series X becomes available for pre-order. (You can also sign up for PS5 pre-order notifications.) We would have expected pre-orders to go live around E3 2020 in June; however, the event has since been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. That said, Microsoft has confirmed it's having its own Xbox digital event in place of an E3 conference, so it's more than likely Xbox Series X pre-orders will go live around that time.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

While Pokemon Sword and Shield regularly hold limited-time events, many fans are still waiting for the pair of expansions set to release later this year to bring them back after finishing the main campaign. Isle of Armor and The Crown Tundra are replacing the pair of follow-up games (such as Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon) that have begun releasing a year or two after a new generation of Pokemon RPGs release. Isle of Armor releases June 17, while The Crown Tundra arrives this fall. The expansions are available to pre-order now through multiple retailers and the Nintendo Eshop. The expansions will not be sold individually, so you have to buy the Expansion Pass for $30 to gain access to both Isle of Armor and The Crown Tundra. Considering The Pokemon Company and Nintendo previously charged full price for the "definitive" third version of each game, the new model is probably preferable for most fans. Both expansions feature their own regions and storylines. Isle of Armor takes place on an island off the coast of Galar that houses a dojo led by Leon's former mentor Mustard (yes, that's his actual name). Mustard gives you the Legendary Fighting Pokemon Kubfu, and then you have to train by challenging the Tower of Waters or Tower of Darkness.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Valorant is out now on PC after a successful closed beta period that attracted record-breaking Twitch numbers. Its popularity has many fans and potential players wondering about a possible console release. Will Valorant ever come to PS4 and Xbox One, or even Nintendo Switch, as other competitive games like Overwatch have? In GameSpot's Play For All interview with Riot Games, we asked Anna Donlon, Executive Producer of Valorant, to elaborate on the team's plans to bring Valorant to more platforms."We are definitely prototyping that right now," Donlon told GameSpot. "But there's a way to play this game and there's a way to experience this game that we're not entirely sure translates completely to console play."Donlon explained that core to Valorant is its "strong level of competitive integrity," and its designers worry about players feeling like anyone has an unfair advantage based on the platform they're playing on. There are plenty of exciting games releasing on PS4 and Xbox One this year, but naturally, we're all hungry for new information on the next-generation games launching on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. Microsoft's May Inside Xbox stream revealed a slew of upcoming games coming to Xbox Series X--one of them being Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2. Since then, a new trailer has confirmed the game will release on PS5 as well. The dark vampire RPG will release on both next-generation consoles as well as Xbox One, PS4, and PC in late 2020. No exact release date has been confirmed, but the game is up for pre-order with several special editions and pre-order bonuses.Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 was originally planned to release in Q1 2020, but publisher Paradox Interactive announced late last year that the game was delayed to later in 2020. While it's unknown whether Bloodlines 2 will release this holiday season alongside PS5 and Xbox Series X or will have a separate release date for the next-gen consoles, Microsoft has confirmed Bloodlines 2 supports Xbox Series X Smart Delivery. That means you can safely pre-order the game for Xbox One and automatically receive the Series X version as well. The game also features cross-gen character saves so that your progress on Xbox One will transfer over to Series X. Unfortunately, no equivalent service has been announced for PS4 and PS5, so if you're looking to play on that platform, you'll want to hold off on pre-ordering for now.Bloodlines 2 is an RPG and the sequel to 2004's Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines. The game takes place in 21st-century Seattle within the "World of Darkness," where vampires, werewolves, demons, and other supernatural creatures exist among humans. Your character is a human recently killed and revived as a "thinblood" vampire, one with weaker powers than full-blood vampires. In this world, there are various vampire clans with different strengths and abilities, and there are also five different factions representing different ideals and positions in society.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Known for its critically acclaimed survival horror game Until Dawn, Supermassive Games kicked off its next project, The Dark Pictures Anthology, last year with Man of Medan, which told the frightening story of a group of college students who find themselves aboard a ghost ship. Now, the next entry in the horror franchise is nearly here. A recent trailer revealed the anthology's next installment, Little Hope, will release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC sometime in summer 2020, nearly one year after Man of Medan. And if you already know it's a day-one purchase for you, Amazon has opened up pre-orders for The Dark Pictures: Little Hope.Like Until Dawn and the first Dark Pictures game, Little Hope will involve playing as several different characters from a third-person perspective and making decisions as the story progresses that will affect various outcomes. The decisions you make for each character affect how their personality evolves over the course of the game, and those decisions also affect their relationships with each other. As a result, there are multiple endings and different ways that things can play out in Little Hope, and as always, the stakes are high--no one is guaranteed to survive if you don't think carefully about your next move.Story-wise, Little Hope follows a new group of college students along with their teacher, who find themselves stranded in a quaint, isolated town shrouded in fog after their bus crashes in a storm. You soon discover the town has a dark and bloody past--in the 17th century, the town was "gripped by witchcraft," and nobody was safe from the accusations that would cause your death. The trailer shows flashbacks to 1692, when these Salem-inspired events took place, and it seems as though your actions in the past will affect how the future plays out, although it's unclear exactly how much agency you'll have in these scenes.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
