Devolver Digital has, historically, always done E3 a little differently, hosting an unofficial showing in a lot near the Los Angeles Convention Center and releasing reveal videos that mix new game trailers and announcements with a strange, ongoing narrative element. The Devolver Direct, also known as the Big Fancy Press Conference, has been running since 2017--but with E3 cancelled this year, it hasn't been clear when we'd see the next installment. Now, Devolver Digital has given us some idea of when the stream will go ahead. In a tweet, Devolver Digital said that the video will release in "mid-July", if all goes as planned. They've promised that there will be a mix of updates and release dates for games we're already aware of, as well as new reveals.Devolver Direct 2020 will be mid July if all goes well with production. This year will have some updates + release dates on upcoming games and a couple of new games to reveal - all with gameplay. Can’t wait to share more soon! — Devolver Digital (@devolverdigital) June 14, 2020Upcoming Devolver Digital published games that we might expect to see more of during the stream include Serious Sam 4, Fall Guys, Disc Room, and Carrion. The recent release of HBO Max meant that HBO was split between HBO, HBO Now, HBO Go, and HBO Max. Now, to reduce confusion, parent company WarnerMedia is discontinuing one of their apps and rebranding another to make it clearer what you're getting. HBO Go will be discontinued from July 31, and HBO Now will be re-branded as just HBO.The Hollywood Reporter has detailed these upcoming changes, which should ultimately encourage more subscribers to make the switch to HBO Max, which offers more content for the same price. While previously the app you used to access HBO content depended on whether you were signed up through a cable provider or third-party platform. While some platforms will automatically upgrade users to HBO Max, it's more complicated if you've signed up through Amazon, Roku, or other companies that have not made specific deals with WarnerMedia--which is why the HBO app still needs to exist. When HBO Go is discontinued, subscribers who access HBO through a cable provider will mostly be able to move over to HBO Max, or by either watching their programs on TV when they're scheduled or accessing them via hbogo.com, which will remain accessible until August 31.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
