Following a patch that fixes minor issues, developers Infinity Ward and Raven Software have announced that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will get a familiar mode this week on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.Seen in various other Call of Duty games like Black Ops 4 and Modern Warfare 3, One in the Chamber makes its debut in Modern Warfare this week. It plays just as fans remember, with each player competing in a free-for-all where everyone gets just a single bullet in their starting weapon.Modern Warfare's One in the Chamber, however, features a twist: the weapon in players' hands is randomly selected at the start of the match. Alongside the randomness of weapons, players only have three lives to take the top spot and additional bullets are earned by getting kills.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

It's a brand-new week, and that means there is plenty of new content coming to Netflix. From movies to TV shows to anime to original content, you may have trouble figuring out what's best to watch for you, unless you want to pick something from the Top 10. Below, you'll find everything coming to Netflix this week. One of the things to keep your eye on this week is the anime A Whisker Away, which arrives on Thursday. The movie follows a young girl who falls deeply in love with a boy that goes to her school. In order to get close to him, she transforms into a cat. However, her choice to turn into an animal has some interesting consequences. Sadly, that's the only anime arriving to Netflix this week. Remember the game you played as a kid where the floor was lava, and you couldn't touch it? Well, Netflix made that into a game show called--get ready for this--Floor is Lava. On this new series, teams have to walk across a room without touching the ground, and they can do so by swining on a chandelier or hanging from a curtain. It's pretty much the summertime, and it's prime season for dumb--yet entertaining--game shows. You can check out Floor is Lava when it debuts on Friday.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

If you're into collecting video game figurines, you're probably aware of Nendoroids, which offer chibi versions of popular characters. They're higher quality (and thus more expensive) than the more mainstream Funko Pop figures, but Nendoroids are true collectibles that look pretty awesome lined up on a shelf. The latest video-game Nendoroid to catch our eye is this incredible figure portraying Sun Goddess (and Very Good Pup) Amaterasu, from the critically acclaimed 2006 game Okami. Pre-orders just opened for the new Amaterasu Nendoroid--which was created with character designer Kenichiro Yoshimura--with two purchase options available.Okami Amaterasu Nendoroid | $53The regular Amaterasu Nendoroid is available for $53, while the DX version is a bit pricier at $74. Both versions include optional parts so you can set up the adorable wolf with different facial expressions and poses. Buying the regular version gets you two different faceplates for Amaterasu: a "gallant" expression and a "charming, open-mouthed" expression. The figure also comes with Amaterasu's traveling companion Issun and the Reflector Divine Retribution used for fighting demons.Okami Amaterasu DX Ver. Nendoroid | $74For about $20 more, you can get the DX version of the Okami Nendoroid, which comes with all of the above as well as an alternate set of legs, the Glaive Tsumugari, Devout Beads Rosary, and Oddly Shaped Turnip.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

It was back in March that the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic caused much of the United States and the world to shut down, as people sheltered in their homes and limited exposure to each other as much as they could. Almost everything closed, from stores and restaurants to movie theaters and theme parks. Now, months later, most US states are in some stage of reopening and that means people are gathering in groups once again, even as the number of COVID-19 cases in the US has topped 2 million. As the world slowly comes back online, though, you might find yourself wondering what the experience of going places is going to be like now. I, myself, wondered that very same thing recently after realizing I likely won't feel comfortable in a movie theater or theme park for some time. And yet, when the news came that Universal Studios Orlando would be opening its doors to guests once again beginning in early June, I felt drawn to it. I wanted to experience what visiting a theme park is like in a post- or mid-COVID-19 world. I wanted to see firsthand how these recreational activities we took largely for granted have changed, possibly indefinitely. How different is it? Does it dampen the experience? More importantly, does it actually feel safe? These are the questions I had when I set foot in Universal Studios Orlando to visit a theme park for the first time since a global pandemic introduced a new normal.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Over the past few years, Escape From Tarkov has become notorious for its hardcore approach to the competitive shooter genre, a persistent gear-driven game where you lose everything you're carrying when you die. Well, if you've had a run of rotten luck in the trenches of Tarkov, or you're just getting started, there's some good news: you can score some item drops by watching participating streamers on Twitch. Thanks to a previous patch, which also reset overall character progression for all players, these items can't be sold on the game's black market. This means you'll have to use the gear yourself, rather than fencing it for what you really want. This is a substantial change from previous Twitch drops, which some players accused of disrupting the game's economy. This promotion has caused Tarkov's viewership numbers to balloon on Twitch, with over 240,000 online as of this writing. For comparison, Fortnite is mustering a bit more than half of that, at 154,000, despite it being only a few hours after a massive event. At the PC Gaming Show, developer Battlestate Games revealed that a new map will be coming soon, as well as a revamped skill system. If you're looking to begin your illustrious career as a scavenger, check out our guide to Escape From Tarkov's controls and hotkeys.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

It's looking like Groundhog Day for 3D Realms' lawyers. Gearbox is suing the company again over Duke Nukem, specifically as a countersuit in response to being sued over using music composed for Duke Nukem 3D.Gearbox was legally affirmed as the owner of the Duke Nukem property in 2011 after buying the rights off 3D Realms in 2010. However, the company ran into some trouble when Bobby Prince, composer for the series, filed a suit over the use of his music in 2019. According to Prince, Gearbox did not own the rights to the music for Duke Nukem 3D, and it had used said music when releasing a 20th-anniversary version of the game.Fast forward to this year and Gearbox is now suing 3D Realms for the second time, as reported by PC Gamer. Specifically, Gearbox is suing 3D Realms for a breach of contract that took place when the former became the legal owner of the property. The suit alleges that 3D Realms failed to pass over "free and clear" possession of the Duke Nukem IP because it only owned the rights to some of Prince's music.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

I know it was a big ask, but do you know how hard it was to convince folks to find a PlayStation Vita, actually purchase a dead platform for one game, then get them to stick with the 80- to 100-hour journey? Now I only really have to worry about that last step. For too long Persona 4 Golden was beholden to the PS Vita (a fine piece of hardware, though). But with the game now on Steam, not only does this mark the PC debut of Atlus' beloved RPG series, it also comes as a quality port itself. Between the enhanced graphics options, high frame rate, unlocked New Game Plus difficulty features, and the inclusion of Persona 4's Japanese voice-overs, there's never been a better time to play one of the RPG greats. From a technical standpoint, P4G looks and runs better on PC than it ever has. That's not a very high bar to clear since this is a port of an eight-year-old remaster of a 12-year old PS2 game, after all. But with a handful of graphics options, you can get more visual detail than previous versions. Specifically, the support for native 4K/1440p/1080p resolutions, anti-aliasing, and anisotropic filtering clean up image quality significantly. There are also options to turn shadows (not the enemies) on or off and control their overall quality. Ultrawide users make up a small audience, but note that this port does not support aspect ratios beyond 16:9, so you won't get to put that extra screen space to use--it's okay, really.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

This first-person fright is due out in July 2020, and puts players in the driver's seat of a terrifying Welsh folktale.Maid of Sker draws inspiration from classic horror flicks and situates you in a remote, run-down hotel with a checkered past. Wales Interactive, the developer behind the game, is experienced with horror titles and perhaps most well-known for its FMV game SIMULACRA.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Destiny 2's new Season of Arrivals has brought a rise in the game's Power cap, kicking off another period in which players are earning new gear to strengthen their characters. Climbing the Power ladder is one of the core elements of Destiny, as is finding any way to shortcut the process through exploits, bugs, and other lucky happenings. Season of Arrivals has a bug like that, but instead of fixing it, which Bungie has already partially dealt with. But instead of hampering players' ability to use the shortcut, the developer should leave it in the game--because it actually has some spooky thematic resonance. The exploit players are using comes from the newly introduced Umbral Engrams, Arrivals' season-specific gear system. Umbral Engrams drop from all activities in the game right now, and you can use a special machine to "focus" them, allowing you to change your random gear drop into one from a specific category you choose. You can focus Umbral Engrams to become seasonal armor or seasonal weapons, or make them focus on particular stats.Usually, Umbral Engrams drop at a certain Power level that's in line with your character's other gear. Thanks to a bug, if you focus your engrams to become seasonal armor, they often get a big Power spike. That makes them akin to "Powerful" weekly drops in the world, allowing players to quickly get up to the "soft" Power cap of 1,050. That's almost the highest you can get your gear this season--to get up to 1,060, you need to do "Pinnacle" activities, like Destiny 2's raids and dungeons.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Writing on Twitter, Epic said it was "overwhelmed by the response" to The Device. A total of 12 million people were in the game when the event took place. The numbers could have been higher, but Epic put a cap on player numbers to help with stability. Some of those who could not attend the event watched livestreams of it. Epic said a combined 8.4 million people watched The Device on Twitch and YouTube. You can re-watch the event in the GameSpot video above.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
