One of the most exciting games coming to Xbox Series X this holiday season is The Ascent, a science-fiction action-role-playing game that plays like a cross between the Diablo series and classic twin-stick shooters. Because of Microsoft's Smart Delivery system, the game is automatically enhanced when played on Xbox Series X instead of Xbox One, and developer Neon Giant explained just how that will work.Speaking to Xbox Wire, creative director Arcade Berg (he has a very good name) explained that ray tracing and upgraded reflective surfaces are among the key visual upgrades for The Ascent on next-generation hardware. Input will also feel more responsive and you can expect a more interactive world, which is hugely important in an immersive role-playing game.As is the case with PS5, as well, the SSD on Xbox Series X will make loading times far shorter, keeping you in the game rather than on a loading screen. This won't compromise visual quality or performance, either, as The Ascent will run at 4K resolution with 60 frames-per-second gameplay and HDR support on Xbox Series X. However, he did say that the console's true capability will only be unlocked once games are developed exclusively for it instead of alongside Xbox One.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Introduced earlier this year to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Warzone, the Grau 5.56 assault rifle is one of the most powerful weapons in the game right now, performing well in most situations and capable of holding its own in close-range and long-range scenarios. However, it has been accused of being overpowered, and Infinity Ward is looking to give it a nerf in a future update.Answering a fan's question on Twitter, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare co-design director of multiplayer Joe Cecot said the development team has several weapon adjustments in the works for a mid-season update. There isn't a definitive date for when the Grau will receive a nerf, but there will be full patch notes available when it occurs. We have a batch of weapon tuning in the works for the mid season update. Patch notes will outline when they drop :) https://t.co/QlaTguFOLJ — Joe Cecot (@JoeCecot) June 19, 2020Players have been calling for the Grau to be nerfed for months, calling it a more powerful weapon than the similar M4A1 that was capable of ruining the game's balance. The M4A1 was already one of the strongest guns in Modern Warfare when it launched last year, combining devastating range with a high rate of fire to make it effective in nearly every situation.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Although the game is content-complete, CD Projekt Red delayed Cyberpunk 2077 to November of this year for bug-fixing. The developer subsequently held a call with investors regarding the delay, and during the 45-minute presentation, the studio confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077's multiplayer is also delayed and spoke about the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X editions--including how they will be free for existing players.Cyberpunk 2077's expansions and multiplayer modes are going to be delayed proportionally with the game release. "When it comes to multiplayer, similarly to the expansions, its launch is going to be proportionally delayed as well. Although multiplayer is a bit more distant anyway," the company said.On the subject of Cyberpunk 2077 being playable on PS5 and Xbox Series X, the company said that the current-gen game will be playable on those consoles at launch with a next-gen patch that adds some improvements based on the horsepower of those consoles. "It will look better on next-generation consoles," the company said. However, a "more robust update" will come later. This next-gen edition will be free for everyone who bought Cyberpunk 2077 on PS4 or Xbox One. The full details on the upgrade scheme, however, have not been announced.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

If you played through The Last Of Us, you might remember that despite all its grim post-apocalypse trappings there was still some good old video game-style collecting that you could do, picking up issues of the fictional in-world comic book, Savage Starlight. Unsurprisingly, The Last Of Us Part II hides collectibles in its environments too, one of which is trading cards. These trading cards feature a few cameos from the development team at Naughty Dog, and collecting all 46 of them will net you a gold trophy--you like trophies, right? Of course you do.A lot of cards can be found more or less in plain sight, but a few of them definitely take a bit more sleuthing to find. In this guide, we'll point you towards the location of every trading card in the game, divided by chapter. For some additional help, we recommend turning on the game's High Contrast mode in the accessibility options--this might make it easier for you to spot these tiny pieces of cardboard in the busy environments. Also consider turning on the Enhanced Listening Mode in the Navigation and Traversal accessibility menu, since that'll let you send out a ping which locates all items in your immediate area.Need help with some other parts of The Last Of Us Part 2? You're in luck, because we have a bunch of guides going up for those that need a little extra helping hand in the post-apocalypse. Check back often, as we'll be posting it piece by piece gradually. We recommend bookmarking our Last of Us Part II guide roundup, which we will keep updated with the latest walkthroughs and guides as they get published.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Demon's Souls is getting a PS5 remake, and it looks stunning. Now, a single new screenshot has emerged on the official PlayStation 5 games site, and while a single new screenshot often isn't newsworthy, this one is different. The screenshot, below, shows what we believe is the Tower Knight, a huge boss encountered in the courtyard of Boletarian Palace in the original game. The fight against Tower Knight was made very difficult in the original release by eight archers who attacked you during the encounter, and we imagine it'll remain difficult on PS5.Demon's Souls for PlayStation 5This screenshot is also another example of just how good Demon's Souls will look on PS5, thanks to the expertise of developer Bluepoint Games.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
