The newest things to come to Destiny 2 are a new Exotic quest for Ruinous Effigy and the Moments of Triumph, the game's yearly opportunity for players to show off their biggest achievements in the game and earn some flashy rewards. This year's Moments comes with some major upcoming changes to the game, though--the removal of several destinations and their activities, which is set to happen with the Beyond Light expansion this fall. Since that includes a bunch of raid activities, the update makes them all much more rewarding.Bungie detailed the changes in Update 2.9.1 on its blog, complete with full patch notes. It primarily sets the stage for Moments by altering how rewards get dished out in several raid activities. Usually, you can only run a raid one time per week on a given character and expect to get the best rewards. If you're hunting the Exotic grenade launcher Anarchy in the Scourge of the Past raid, for instance, you would only have one shot at it each week on your Titan. You can increase your chances to three a week if you run the raid on all three characters, but once you've got those three completions, you're stuck waiting for Destiny 2's weekly reset on Tuesdays to try again. That changes with the latest patch. Now you can "farm" those activities for their rewards as much as you want--meaning you can keep beating the Scourge of the Past until you finally get Anarchy, or any other reward you're missing. The change applies to Scourge, which will leave Destiny 2 in the fall, and to all the raid activities that take place on the Leviathan location: the Leviathan raid itself, the Crown of Sorrows raid, and the two smaller raid lairs, Eater of Worlds and Spire of Stars.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

But of course, an evil spirit shows up and begins terrorizing the group in each of their separate locations.Over the past few months, stay at home and quarantine orders in major cities across the globe ground the film-making industry to a halt, but Deadline reports that the all the actors in Host operated their own cameras and managed their own stunts, lighting, and practical effects while the director, Rob Savage (Dawn of the Deaf), guided them remotely. With the conclusion of the Apex Legends Lost Treasures limited-time event, Respawn has released a new update for the battle royale game. Loba fans, rejoice! The update finally fixes the annoying problem with her tactical ability on World's Edge. For those who don't main Loba, she's had an issue with her tactical ability, Burglar's Best Friend, on World's Edge since the start of Lost Treasures. Loba's tactical ability cancels out if you throw it out-of-bounds or off a ledge--which is helpful, as it prevents you from teleporting to your death. However, on World's Edge, a bug was causing Loba's tactical ability to detect normal areas as out-of-bounds, cancelling out Burglar's Best Friend in places where it shouldn't.Game Update! We've pushed out two updates this morning:🔨Fixes addressing Loba's tactical usability on World's Edge. There are still some known cases we're continuing to work on but it should work much better now.🔨Mobile Respawn Beacon has been added to all modes. — Apex Legends (@PlayApex) July 7, 2020In a Twitter thread, Apex Legends design director Jason McCord explained how the bug came to be and assured players that a fix was already ready--it just needed to go through some testing first. That fix is now live, though Respawn adds that there "are still some known cases [the team is] continuing to work on."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Microsoft has reportedly warned Xbox Series X developers against charging for DLC upgrades from the current generation to the next one. The move appears aimed at disincentivizing publishers from charging for a service that Microsoft is trying to make a major pillar of its platform with Smart Delivery.VGC reports that the company is encouraging publishers to instead adopt a no-cost upgrade model, like either Smart Delivery or EA's Dual Entitlement. The report doesn't state definitively whether Microsoft has made a formal rule the practice of charging for upgrades on its platform.Despite that, the company is said to be leaving the door open to other mechanisms of allowing upgrades. Aside from free digital upgrades like the ones above, it hasn't ruled out schemes like selling a next-gen version at a discount, or selling "cross-gen bundles" that include two versions of the game. We've already seen that in action this week with the announcement of NBA 2K21's Kobe Bryant edition, which will sell both versions for $100. The regular edition on both platforms will cost $60 on current-gen and $70 on next-gen--which may become the new normal.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Over-the-top match stipulations are a major part of wrestling. Promotions like WWE can't just have one-on-one or tag team matches for every bout during a show, and with PPVs, the company needs to up-the-ante in order to keep viewers invested. At times, adding a cage around a ring, allowing weapons to be added to a match, or having to climb a ladder to grab something floating above the ring is all you need. However, not all stipulations are "best for business."Take the Kennel from Hell match between Big Boss Man and Al Snow, for instance. As discussed on an episode of Wrestle Buddies, the two wrestlers were surrounded by a steel cage, a Hell in a Cell structure, and a pack of "trained" dogs. It ultimately led to a mediocre match, but the visual was striking. With the next PPV, Extreme Rules, coming to the company's streaming service on July 19, WWE is effectively jumping the shark with one match as Seth Rollins and Rey Mysterio battle it out in an "Eye for an Eye" match. There is no subtlety here. The person loses if one of their eyes is pulled out.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
