HBO Max has announced a new original series set in the world of Batman's home town, Gotham City. The original series will be set in the world director Matt Reeves is creating for his upcoming film The Batman, which stars Robert Pattison as the Caped Crusader.Boardwalk Empire creator Terence Winter will write the upcoming series, and the show will be produced by Warner Bros. Television and The Batman producer Dylan Clark. The series will explore some of the more compelling and complex characters in the city, according to a press release. Developer Guerrilla Games has shared the official theme song from Horizon Forbidden West's PlayStation 5 reveal trailer. The track has airy vocalizations by German singer Julie Elven and it's heavenly.The almost three-minute song is composed by Dutch sound designer Joris de Man, a composer who has collaborated with Guerrilla on past titles like the Killzone franchise and 2017's Horizon Zero Dawn. Nintendo has released a new update for Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition. This patch is primarily focused on bug fixes, resolving a spate of issues that players could encounter in the game.Nintendo has detailed the full list of changes in its patch notes, but there are a ton of tweaks, many of which could potentially occur in very specific circumstances. Among other things, developer Monolith Soft has fixed issues around Affinity Coins that could arise when starting New Game Plus after lowering character levels. Crysis Remastered was set to have its first gameplay reveal earlier this month, ahead of a July 23 release date. But following the negative reception to the leaked trailer, both the reveal and release date were postponed. At least, for most consoles it seems.Crysis Remastered will, in fact, still launch for Nintendo Switch on July 23. The news was shared on Crysis' Twitter page, which means you only have another two weeks to wait to play the 2007 classic on-the-go with Nintendo's latest console. Franz Kafka's The Metamorphosis finds its main character, Gregor Samsa, waking up one morning, suddenly and inexplicably transformed into a giant insect. It's an utterly bizarre premise for a novel that evolves into a tragic story, but as the inspiration for developer Ovid Works' Metamorphosis, Gregor's transformation provides an opportunity to explore a strange idea, the surreal world it spawns, and the peculiar creatures who inhabit it.I went hands-on with the first hour or so of Metamorphosis, which runs with Kafka's idea of transforming into a bug and only seems to get weirder from there. While Gregor wakes up to find himself in a bug body in the novel, the game's Gregor wakes up at his friend Josef's house after a night of drunken celebration. Vaguely hungover, Gregor starts to head out for work, only to find that as he travels the house and through doors, the world transforms around him. He walks through a door to find himself in a larger version of the room he just left--or in a shrunken state. And before long, he's scrambling around on six spindly legs, with his internal monologue transforming from human speech to insectile chittering.The whole situation has a very Alice in Wonderland feel as you explore a surreal world whose rules don't seem particularly rigid. Gregor's first task as a human is to open drawers around the bedroom he awakes in to find the key to the door, and you repeat that same task as a bug. It's a pretty good early indication of how Metamorphosis seems like it'll play out: Metamorphosis is an exploration game about finding ways to traverse its environment and solving puzzles about how to venture from one area to the next. The Monster Hunter movie has been delayed from September 4 to April 23, 2021, according to Deadline. No official reason has been given by Sony, however it is most likely tied to the on-going COVID-19 pandemic.Monster Hunter is directed by Paul W.S. Anderson and stars Milla Jovovich, both known for the Resident Evil film franchise, with the most recent film being Resident Evil: The Final Chapter in 2016. Monster Hunter follows Lt. Ahead of Ubisoft Forward, the studio has rolled out an update for Ghost Recon: Breakpoint. Title Update 2.1.0 is now available on PC, PlayStation 4, Stadia, and Xbox One, and it makes a number of tweaks to the third-person shooter's guns. Imagine being able to take back every mistake you make, instantly, reliving each moment over and over until it plays out as you hoped. In less astute hands, it could feel like an exercise in trial and error. In Desperados 3, however, it unfolds in masterful fashion, providing ample scope for you to dream up a multitude of creative plans alongside the ability to reset the board in a flash should the plan fail. It's a rapidfire process of forming an hypothesis, testing it and tossing it aside. By encouraging experimentation at every turn, Desperados 3 proves a stealth tactics game where invention thrives.Stealth games can often degenerate into a loop of quick-saving and quick-loading. Desperados 3 is built around that loop, an aspect reinforced by a tutorial which instructs you on how to quick-save and quick-load before it tells you how to deal with an enemy. It's hammered home by regular pop-up notifications informing you of the time since you last quick-saved. EA has begun rolling out player ratings for Madden NFL 21 as promised, starting with the rookie quarterbacks. This serves as the start of a longer rollout, allowing diehard fans to react to their favorite players' rankings.The top three rookies in these initial player ratings are Joe Burrow (Cincinnati Bengals), Tua Tagovailoa (Miami Dolphins), and Jordan Love (Green Bay Packers).
