Publisher Sega has officially announced that the online action-RPG Phantasy Star Online 2 will make its way to Steam on August 5. You can download the game for free from the digital distributor.Alongside launching on Steam, Sega confirmed that the first big content update for Phantasy Star Online 2 will arrive on the same day. The free update, titled Episode 4, will roll out on August 5 for Windows 10 PC and Xbox One. It brings with it a host of additional content, including a new planet, more enemies, an increased level cap, and more. The Mandalorian, Disney+'s Star Wars space western, has been nominated for 15 Emmy Awards--including Outstanding Drama Series. According to a release issued by the Television Academy, The Mandalorian has also received nominations for Outstanding Production Design for a Narrative Program, Outstanding Cinematography for a Single-Camera Series, Outstanding Fantasy/Sci-Fi Costumes, among others. Pokemon Go Fest 2020 has come and gone, but Niantic already has some more events lined up for the hit mobile game, including August's Community Day. That will take place on August 8, and the featured Pokemon this time around will be an unexpected choice: Magikarp.Throughout the event, Magikarp will appear in the wild much more frequently than usual, giving you plenty of opportunities to catch it and stock up on Magikarp Candy--which you'll need a lot of if you hope to evolve it into Gyarados. Any Magikarp that you evolve up to two hours after the Community Day ends will learn the move Aqua Tail. You'll also have a chance to encounter a Shiny Magikarp during the event.On top of that, Niantic will offer a few other in-game bonuses during August's Community Day. First, any Incense that you use during the event will remain active for three hours rather than the usual 30 minutes, letting you attract more wild Pokemon without having to leave home. System architect Mark Cerny has briefly mentioned a feature that would let you load into key parts of games directly from the PS5 interface, and a new report shares more details on that along with a name: Activities.The article first appeared on Gamereactor. Pokemon Go Fest has become an annual tradition for Niantic and Pokemon fans, but this year's event, which took place on July 25 and 26, faced some unique hurdles. With the COVID-19 pandemic still surging in many parts of the world, particularly throughout the US, Niantic had to reconfigure the event--traditionally held in-person at Chicago's Grant Park and other live venues--into a digital experience that players could participate in without leaving home.Considering how challenging it must have been to adjust a game so dependent upon being outside around these extenuating circumstances, Pokemon Go Fest 2020 turned out to be a solid alternative to a traditional live event. Niantic did a commendable job of translating the usual Go Fest activities into a digital experience, even if there were a few hitches along the way.Day 1 of the event featured the most compelling new feature: virtual habitats. To simulate the feeling of wandering into a new environment, Niantic rotated through different "habitats" every hour. Each of these brought out certain kinds of Pokemon; Grass types, for instance, appeared more frequently when the grass habitat was active, while Dragon types were more common in the battle habitat. Based on its battle pass, Season 5: Fortune's Favor is scheduled to end on August 11 at 10 AM PT.The new teaser is the recent addition of familiar-looking Hammond construction signs on World's Edge. As noticed by Reddit user FrozenFroh, the signs specifically outline Drill Site as well as the small area just outside The Dome.Similar signs first appeared on World's Edge in the final weeks of Season 3: Meltdown, hinting at the construction of new structures at the start of Season 4: Assimilation. While movie theater chains continue to push back re-opening dates because of the COVID-19 pandemic, AMC Theatres and Universal Pictures--who had a spat back in April after Universal released Trolls: World Tour on-demand--are coming to an agreement on the future of movie releases. The plan involves a compromise between theatrical and home digital releases of new movies.With AMC now looking to reopen its movie theaters in mid-August, the chain has come to an agreement with Universal on the distribution of profits for digital rentals, according to Variety. Now, Universal will have the ability to release on-demand for a roughly $20 rental fee--much like Invisible Man and The Hunt did earlier this year. The studio cannot sell or rent the movies for lower fees until three months after the films release in theaters. And AMC will get a cut of the money made this way. However, the specifics of the terms were not disclosed.Variety notes that while movies from major franchises like Jurassic World and Fast & Furious could appear on-demand for a premium price, these blockbusters are more likely to have long runs in theaters, so it would be a much longer wait until the three-month rental period could begin. Microsoft has released the first track from Halo Infinite's OST. The song, "Set a Fire in Your Heart," was composed by Gareth Coker, who recently joined the Halo team to work alongside Curtis Schweitzer on the music for Microsoft's next-generation Halo game.This song was featured in the recent campaign demo for Halo Infinite, so it probably sounds familiar. It hits all the right notes, and definitely feels fitting for the Halo universe. Microsoft has finally shown off Halo Infinite's campaign, but we haven't seen any multiplayer footage yet.
