The full trailer for Army of Thieves is here, arriving to Netflix on October 29. The movie is a prequel to Zack Snyder's zombie movie Army of the Dead. The Army of Thieves trailer was revealed as part of Tudum, Netflix's virtual streaming fan event. The movie focuses on Ludwig Dieter, the safe-cracker played by Matthias Schweighöfer in Army of the Dead. The trailer starts with Dieter being recruited by Gwendoline (Game of Thrones' Nathalie Emmanuel), a member of a criminal gang who wants Dieter to help them with a daring triple-heist, using the unfolding zombie apocalypse as a distraction. The rest of the trailer delivers lots of quickly cut action and snappy dialogue, and it definitely looks like a very different movie to Snyder's over-the-top zombiefest. Check it out below:This promo follows the first Army of Thieves teaser, which was revealed during Comic-Con@Home in July.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Netflix revealed today as part of its Tudum event the first look at The Witcher: Blood Origin. This first clip takes us behind the scenes of the show with showrunner Declan de Barra. The Witcher books that the Netflix series are based on have a rich history woven throughout the story of Geralt of Rivia, and The Witcher: Blood Origin will delve into it. Set 1,200 years before the events of the Witcher TV series--which itself spans well over 50 years--Blood Origin will tell the story of the original Witchers. This clip, unfortunately, doesn't give us any fresh information to work with--we see a brief look at the COVID-proofed table read for the show, de Barra shows us a fake eel, and then teleports to Iceland to say that the series is filming there. De Barra hints that the show will use practical effects for the monsters, but buries it in enough jokes and fake-outs that it's hard to tell if he's being serious.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

The Witcher Season 2 finally hits this winter, just in time for Christmas. The teasers have been short and mysterious, thus far, but Netflix offered up a pair of sneak peek videos and some big announcements--including that The Witcher Season 3 is on the way--as well. The first clip gives us a look at the first episode of Season 2, based on the Witcher story "A Grain of Truth," in which Geralt comes across a manor inhabited by a man named Nivellen, who has the face of a beast. The Witcher Season 1 ended with the meeting of Geralt of Rivia and Princess Cirilla of Cintra--better known as Ciri--as the show's three separate timelines converged, while sorcerers including Yennefer of Vengeberg fought off the invading Nilfgaardian army. The second clip focuses on those two, total strangers, destined by fate to meet each other, along with all the strangeness that brings.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Netflix has released a new clip of Don't Look Up, the upcoming satire disaster movie from Adam McKay that follows two scientists who must inform the world that an Earth-destroying asteroid is coming. Netflix revealed this clip as part of Tudum, its streaming virtual fan event. In Don't Look Up, Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence play astronomers who embark on a media tour to tell people about a meteor that's expected to crash into Earth. Meryl Streep plays the President of the United States, with Jonah Hill playing her Chief of Staff as they--and the rest of the nation--deliberate over what to do or even acknowledge if there's a problem. In the newly released clip, DiCaprio and Lawrence nervously get an audience with Streep and Hill, but the administration can't be bothered to take the astronomers' concern about a "100% certainty" of disaster seriously. Instead, they quickly downgrade the situation's status to "sit tight and assess." Other big names in the ensemble cast include Rob Morgan, Mark Rylance, Tyler Perry, Timothee Chalamet, Cate Blanchett, Ron Perlman, Ariana Grande, and Scott Mescudi AKA Kid Cudi.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Silent Hill 2 is often regarded as the pinnacle of the horror genre, going head-to-head with some of the best Resident Evil games for the crown. However, no Resident Evil game can compare to Silent Hill 2 when it comes to endings--or at least one secret ending that has stood the test of time over the last 20 years. In fact, today is its 20-year anniversary. We are, of course, talking about the "Dog" ending, which can only be seen after finishing multiple other endings for Silent Hill 2 and finding a key that is, appropriately enough, in a doghouse. Finishing the game this way seems to imply that the entirety of the events have been orchestrated by a Shiba Inu dog. After revealing this shocking secret, the credits roll, with the music backed by the percussive beat of a dog's bark.More than that, though, the ending also includes a slideshow of sorts that seems to imply the developers knew how cheesy some aspects of the "actual" game were--and we don't just mean because there is a spinning pizza. It then gets weirdly sensual for about two seconds before the credits end.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

One of the biggest surprises from the September Nintendo Direct was the casting announcements for the Super Mario movie. In particular, people were flummoxed by the news that Chris Pratt will voice Mario. The casting announcement wasn't a surprise to everyone, however, as one person on Twitter actually predicted Pratt's casting more than a year ago.Twitter user general_sthe laid out their prediction for the Super Mario movie back on May 21, 2020, saying series voice actor Charles Martinet would not play the part and Pratt would instead be the case. In reality, general_sthe absolutely nailed it with their very prescient tweet. After the news broke on Thursday, general_sthe's tweeted again to voice their dismay that it came true, saying, "I'm so sorry, Charles Martinet. You DESERVED to be voicing Mario in the movie. This character would not be nearly as endearing, lovable, or alive without you."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Halo Infinite's multiplayer beta test is out now, and players have discovered some new oddities--including a bag that has a better physics/modeling than anyone might have guessed and a bug that causes wet floor signs to go completely haywire.Reddit user acrking76 posted an incredible video of a UNSC military bag featuring a physics and modeling system that is quite impressive. Watch the video below to see how even the faintest touch of the bag affects its model with an impressive attention to detail. "Why are the physics and modeling on this bag so good," acrking76 asked. A very good question, indeed. As for the wet floor sign bug, Reddit user Rough-Many-4308 posted a video that shows something going very, very wrong. The player fires a few plasma grenades and, out of nowhere and for seemingly no reason, an avalanche of wet floor signs begin erupting from out of the ether. Machine Games, the developer behind the Wolfenstein reboot and an upcoming untitled Indiana Jones game, apparently has a bit more up its sleeve. As spotted by Opattack, Machine Games is joining Insomniac's club of studios that can develop two major titles at a time, with an employee's LinkedIn profile showing that the studio has another unannounced game in development. The LinkedIn profile belongs to Machine Games senior game designer Teemu Kivikangas. It shows that along with working on the Indiana Jones title, Kivikangas is also the lead game designer for an unannounced project. Of course, it's impossible to say what the upcoming title could be, but players should expect something matching the quality of Machine Games' previous titles.Likewise, it's not clear how much of Machine Games' resources are currently being directed toward this unannounced project. While Bethesda's Pete Hines has previously said that the Indiana Jones game, which Todd Howard is the executive producer for, will not impact the development of other Bethesda titles, that doesn't include Machine Games' unannounced title.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Fortnite skins are a big draw for many fans, which is why a new Epic Games survey should attract so much attention from the game's community. A recent survey sent out by the developer-publisher asked players to weigh in on the appeal of dozens of unreleased skins, giving us a sneak preview of characters potentially headed to the game. While we can't say all of the teased skins will one day be available in Fortnite, it stands to both reason and history that some will.Epic's survey included skins spanning several different sets, with some making great companion characters to past heroes, while others look totally new and unlike anything else in Fortnite. Content creators have shared the full slate of polled skins, including several themed around Halloween, Christmas, and other tie-in events, which you can see in the tweet below.Epic are working on a Remix Omega, Christmas Aerial Assault Trooper, Frozen Midas, Frozen Peely, Frozen Renegade Raider, Toon Brite Bomber & More..👀Here are ALL the skins from the concepts survey in order: pic.twitter.com/dq4VRPi17Y — HYPEX (@HYPEX) September 24, 2021Sets that were noticed by fans include more characters in ongoing styles such as frozen, anime, and toon styles. There's also a Christmas-themed redesign of the fanmade skin Isabelle, a Hogwarts-inspired student of witchcraft. Other new styles for characters we've seen before include a winter-ready Doctor Slone and a clover-green Wildcard. As for totally new characters, there are plenty, like a killer clown, a human-sized bird, and a sloth who looks equipped for military service--you know, typical Fortnite stuff.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Throughout its six-year lifespan, the Nintendo GameCube managed to amass a sizable library of games. Officially, 653 games were released on the system from first-party Nintendo studios and other second- and third-party developers. In the years since production on the GameCube was halted, Nintendo has occasionally dipped into that vault of games and re-released them on newer consoles. There has been some hope that, with the console turning 20-years-old, that Nintendo would announce a dedicated GameCube virtual console for the Switch, but so far nothing concrete has emerged. We've put together a list of the best GameCube games--in alphabetical order--to celebrate the enduring legacy of Nintendo's box-shaped underdog with a carrying handle.Fire Emblem: Path of RadianceFire Emblem: Path of RadianceLong before the Fire Emblem franchise took a huge gamble on the Nintendo 3DS to determine its fate and was granted a new awakening, it was making a name for itself in Japan and largely shunning the idea of a Western release. That changed after Super Smash Bros. Melee was released, and in 2005 we got Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, building on the localization efforts set by Fire Emblem and Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. All the signature tactical action of the franchise was polished to a new level, bringing with it an addictive layer of turn-based strategy, challenging maps, and the infamous permadeath system that could undo hours of hard work when a beloved comrade fell in battle. With full-motion videos, a rich story, and a ton of stats to factor into every battle, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance was a strategy game that was well worth investing time in, creating an unforgettable and mature experience on Nintendo's colorful console.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
