The Justice Society of America has gained a few moments in the spotlight lately, after being featured in DC TV shows like Legends of Tomorrow and Stargirl, but now it looks like the team will be making its way to the big screen. During a panel at DC FanDome, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson revealed that not only will the upcoming Black Adam movie feature both the titular Black Adam and the previously announced Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, but will also bring in several members of the JSA.Though no casting was announced, Black Adam will feature Dr. Fate, Hawkman, and Cyclone, who will be joining Adam and Atom Smasher to learn a thing or two about being superheroes--or, at least, about being superheroes the Black Adam way. Johnson was quick to explain that Black Adam has a strict and personal sense of justice that doesn't necessarily align with traditional morality.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

DC's FanDome event has featured a numbed of high profile events so far, and while the Aquaman panel may have been somewhat lacking in substance and length, at least we learned a little bit more about the highly anticipated Aquaman 2.For the waterlogged sequel, director James Wan said during the brief discussion that he's "trying to find new things to do that I didn't get around to doing in the first film," adding that the sequel is "a little bit more serious, a little bit more relevant to the world that we're living in today."The panel's only other participant, Patrick Wilson, said he's excited to see Wan explore "new worlds" in Aquaman 2. "There's a lot of unexplored ocean," he said.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

DC FanDome moved at a break-neck speed--and we're not just talking about the Speedforce. The August 22 virtual event dropped plenty of news from a behind-the-scenes look at The Suicide Squad to a new Wonder Woman 1984 trailer. However, we also got a look at the next season of CW's The Flash.Revealed during one of the few TV panels for the show, Season 7 of The Flash has a lot going on. Barry is losing his speed and needs to connect to an artificial Speed Force. Iris is dealing with a broken mind. There's also the whole deal with the Mirrorverse and Flash trying to stop the new Mirror Master. Everything is on-the-line in the latest trailer, which you can check out below.Originally, the next season of the hit CW series was going to arrive in October. However, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, production on The Flash and many other CW series came to a halt in March. Now, the latest season is set to arrive in 2021--which many people are speculating will be in January, as long as there are no more production stoppages.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

It may have been a long day for DC FanDome, but there were a lot of big reveals during the virtual event. And one of the most bizarre, yet utterly enjoyable, panels was the one for Shazam, where we finally got a full title for the movie, Shazam: Fury of the Gods.Zachary Levi--who plays the titular superhero--led the discussion with the other kids that make up the Shazam family. Levi said over and over again that they can't reveal any info for the upcoming movie, which isn't arriving to theaters until November 4, 2022. However, Faithe Herman--who plays Billy Batson's foster sister Darla Dudley--drew a brand-new poster for the movie, which you can see below. If something looks out of place in the new poster, that's because the man in black is none other than the comedian Sinbad. Levi asked Sinbad if he was in Shazam 2, and the comedian's response was confusing. "You tell me John Krasinski, am I? Cause everybody thought I was in Shazam 1 before it even existed. Google it. I'm number three on the Mandela list, all right?"Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Well, this certainly isn't like any other live-action Batman movie we've seen. The first trailer for The Batman was revealed at the DC FanDome virtual convention, giving us a much better look at Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, as well as an idea of who the primary villain is.We already know that Selina Kyle (Zoe Kravitz), Oswald Cobblepot (Colin Farrell), and Riddler (Paul Dano) will figure into the movie. However, based on this first trailer, it looks like Riddler will be getting the most screentime of the three. In the two-minute clip, it's shown that Riddler is leaving a trail of bodies with notes and coded messages to Batman, indicating the villain is obsessed with him. The Riddler also seems to be painting Batman as a "liar" and seeking to expose him. It's refreshing to see the trailer center so heavily on Riddler and that this portrayal is being taken in a much different direction than the only other big-screen Riddler fans have seen (Jim Carrey's in Batman Forever). This take on the character is dark, demented, and murderous.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

During the panel for The Batman at DC FanDome, director Matt Reeves discussed his upcoming Gotham City TV series, which is coming to HBO Max. During this panel, we also got The Batman movie's first trailer. While there was already a TV series that took place in the Caped Crusader's stomping grounds, Fox's Gotham, Reeves' new show feels more akin to the comic book series Gotham Central by Greg Rucka and Ed Brubaker. "I mean, for me, the idea of this was a story in which Gotham has the sort of depths of corruption," Reeves explained during the panel. "And then the idea that we could actually do a series that is going deeper into an aspect of it, which in this case is the corrupt police department and the corrupt inner workings of the city."Reeves is accompanied by a very seasoned writer who is a perfect fit. "Terence Winter is just like an incredible writer, so the idea that we got him to do this I mean just is literally a dream," Reeves said.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

If you're looking for the continuation of the story established in Batman: Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, and Arkham Knight, it's not in the upcoming WB Montreal game starring the Bat-family that more closely resembles those titles. As we learned at DC FanDome, it's Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League that is a continuation of the Arkhamverse. As revealed during the Suicide Squad game's panel, Kill the Justice League continues the narrative established in the previous Rocksteady Arkham games. Some of the narrative threads established in that trilogy will be picked up here, although specifics weren't shared. We do know the game tells an original story where they're apparently tasked with taking down the Justice League, including Superman. On the other hand, Gotham Knights will not be--WB Games Montreal told ComicBook, "Gotham Knights is an original story set in DC's Batman Universe and not connected to the Arkham series."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

After a long wait, Rocksteady has finally revealed its next game with an in-depth look at DC Fandome, titled Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. The studio had announced its Suicide Squad game with the promise of more details to come and a teaser image of a target over Superman's head. The teaser-trailer expanded on that concept and announced a release date of 2022 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X.The debut trailer shown during DC Fandome featured several members of the squad goofing off and then reluctantly springing into action against enemy forces. It ended with Superman showing up and apparently killing a civilian, as the Suicide Squad realized they would have to take down the hero.A follow-up with host Will Arnett suggested the four main characters will be Harley Quinn, Deadshot, King Shark, and Captain Boomerang, tasked with defeating the Justice League. It's 1-4 player co-op with all four characters represented, though you can play single-player and have your companions played by AI and switch between them.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
