The Justice Society of America has gained a few moments in the spotlight lately, after being featured in DC TV shows like Legends of Tomorrow and Stargirl, but now it looks like the team will be making its way to the big screen. During a panel at DC FanDome, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson revealed that not only will the upcoming Black Adam movie feature both the titular Black Adam and the previously announced Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, but will also bring in several members of the JSA.Though no casting was announced, Black Adam will feature Dr. Fate, Hawkman, and Cyclone, who will be joining Adam and Atom Smasher to learn a thing or two about being superheroes--or, at least, about being superheroes the Black Adam way. Johnson was quick to explain that Black Adam has a strict and personal sense of justice that doesn't necessarily align with traditional morality.Born centuries ago in the fictional nation of Kahndaq, Adam was a slave until he was granted power by the wizard Shazam. Like Billy Batson, Adam's powers are granted to him by a pantheon of gods that make up the SHAZAM acronym: the stamina of Shu, the swiftness of Heru, the strength of Amon, the wisdom of Zehuti, the power of Aton, and the courage of Mehen. Unlike Billy Batson, however, Adam promptly used his abilities to become a "tyrannical" (depending on your perspective) ruler and king. Well, this certainly isn't like any other live-action Batman movie we've seen. The first trailer for The Batman was revealed at the DC FanDome virtual convention, giving us a much better look at Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, as well as an idea of who the primary villain is.We already know that Selina Kyle (Zoe Kravitz), Oswald Cobblepot (Colin Farrell), and Riddler (Paul Dano) will figure into the movie. However, based on this first trailer, it looks like Riddler will be getting the most screentime of the three. In the two-minute clip, it's shown that Riddler is leaving a trail of bodies with notes and coded messages to Batman, indicating the villain is obsessed with him. The Riddler also seems to be painting Batman as a "liar" and seeking to expose him.It's refreshing to see the trailer center so heavily on Riddler and that this portrayal is being taken in a much different direction than the only other big-screen Riddler fans have seen (Jim Carrey's in Batman Forever). If you're looking for the continuation of the story established in Batman: Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, and Arkham Knight, it's not in the upcoming WB Montreal game starring the Bat-family that more closely resembles those titles. As we learned at DC FanDome, it's Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League that is a continuation of the Arkhamverse.As revealed during the Suicide Squad game's panel, Kill the Justice League continues the narrative established in the previous Rocksteady Arkham games. Some of the narrative threads established in that trilogy will be picked up here, although specifics weren't shared. Fall Guys is getting a new patch on PS4 and PC that aims to fix some of its biggest issues while also making the game fairer and less frustrating. Planned for this week, it addresses several different parts of the game and the patch notes even include a slight jab at players concerned with the Yellow Team's dominance in team games.The round-selection algorithm has been altered so it will now only pick team-based games when the team sizes can be equal, and the most-frequent crashing issues were addressed. Summer Games Done Quick 2020 couldn't go forward as it typically does because of the pandemic, and the organizers opted for an online-only format where streamers would speed through games at their homes. This didn't slow down donations, however, as the week-long marathon brought in $2.3 million for Doctors Without Borders.Viewership peaked at more than 107,000 during the week, which included runs of games like Demon's Souls, Hollow Knight, Sonic Heroes, and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. There is an archive available on the official Games Done Quick YouTube channel if you want to watch or re-watch a particular run, with videos split up by game to make it easy. With any luck, the Awesome Games Done Quick event scheduled for January 2021 will be able to take place the traditional way, with fans cheering each player on as they show off their skills. Destiny 2 is such a huge game that sometimes, elements of it will interact in strange and unexpected ways. The latest unexpected glitch to hit the game allowed players to completely break PvE encounters with the judicious use of specific emotes, but Bungie has already disabled one to combat it.The emote in question is called Coin Flip, and players discovered that activating the emote along with any other that includes holograms--like chairs Guardians can sit on--messes up the ability of enemies to detect players. You needed to use the emotes in the loading areas ahead of the spots that enemies populate, and executed correctly, it made it possible to kill everything in an area with enemies never reacting. The Batman has an incredible cast, with Robert Pattinson, Zoe Kravitz, Paul Dano, Jeffrey Weight, and more huge actors attached. But one bit of casting that is drawing particular attention following the release of the first trailer for the film is Colin Farrell, who is unrecognizable as Oswald Cobblepot, also known as The Penguin.The role was previously played by Danny DeVito in Batman Returns, who gave an extremely memorable, scenery (and nose) chewing performance as the malevolent crime boss, whose flipper-hands and chalky face was very close to the character's appearance in comics and cartoons. Colin Farrell in The BatmanNow, DeVito has spoken with Collider about his role in The One And Only Ivan, and the It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia actor was asked to talk about Farrell taking up the mantle, and if he had given the actor any advice. DeVito, who previously worked with Farrell on the live-action Dumbo movie, said that he hasn't seen him since but is very confident in his abilities."I haven’t spoken to him since, but I’m really looking forward to it," DeVito says. "I think that no matter what, he’s gonna be great because he’s a great actor."As for advice, DeVito says that "the only thing he has to worry about is that Oswald Cobblepot will show up at his house," before laughing and delivering one of his iconic Penguin noises.
