A new paid DLC is coming to Predator: Hunting Grounds on September 1. Similar to May's update, Dutch will be the star of this DLC, but instead of the futuristic 2025 model, this will be the '87 version. And to keep things authentic, Dutch will once again be voiced by Arnold Schwarzenegger.Dutch '87 will have a new story for Hunting Grounds players to explore, but that's not all the DLC includes. Players who pick it up will also receive eight tint customizations to kit out their characters, and early access to Dutch's Mercenary gun. This fully automatic weapon features an under-barrel grenade launcher and steady hip firing. Halo Infinite developer 343 Industries has responded to recent rumors that claimed the studio was abandoning the Xbox One version of the sci-fi shooter and delaying the game to 2022. That's a bunch of baloney, community manager John Junyszek said on social media."We're seeing lots of fake 'leaks' out there, so please don't believe everything you read," he said on Twitter. "There are no plans to change our 2021 release or the devices and platforms we'll be supporting. We're building Halo Infinite to be the best it can be on each device/platform."Halo Infinite is in development for Xbox Series X, the standard Xbox One, and PC. Citing no evidence, people online have claimed that Halo Infinite's Xbox One edition would be "held back" due to power of the Xbox One being less than the Series X.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

This will be an an event focused on indie developers, and there's quite several games to check out. The John Wick film series is famous for, among other things, a tremendous body count--John alone kills 77 people in the first movie, getting revenge for the death of his dog and then some. But this wasn't always the case--the movie almost featured much fewer deaths.Talking to GameSpot sister site Comicbook.com, John Wick trilogy director Chad Stahelski has revealed that the first draft of the script contained only three deaths, although that likely doesn't include Wick's puppy. Stahelski says that star Keanu Reeves sent him the script on a Friday, and he took the weekend to read and think about it. "It was much more contained," he recalls. "I think only three people died in the original script, two were in a car crash. It was very, very minimal, and it was slightly different."However, Stahelski had a different idea, and wanted to make a movie that resembled a piece of Greek mythology: "a surreal action movie so it wasn't so grounded and gray, just something different."The movie changed a great deal once he came on board, and the sequels feature even more kills. However, Stahelski says that they don't set targets for these things. "The way I choreograph with my guys and stuff, we just choreograph motion and set pieces and we try to get this balletic kind of dance, live performance feel to everything," he says. Because Keanu Reeves has "gotten so much better with the choreography," it's been necessary to bring in more stunt people for him to kill to show off his moves. John Wick Chapter 4 will release in May 2022 following a COVID-19 delay. It also won't be the final film in the series. Info from Gamespot.com

Christopher Nolan's new movie Tenet is coming to theatres in the US on September 3, and the mind-bending action film is getting some promotional help from none other than Tom Cruise. In a piece of viral marketing, Cruise and his Mission Impossible director Christopher McQuarrie head to a cinema to take in the film on the big screen.Cruise and McQuarrie remark that it's good to see movies again in a theatre, following shutdowns due to COVID-19. Indeed, the movie business will be watching intently to see how Tenet performs in theatres, and it could impact how the rest of the industry reacts. Cruise and McQuarrie are wearing masks, and they appear to have gone relatively unnoticed in what appeared to be a public screening of the film.Big Movie. Big Screen. It’s rock versus EDM in a bid to bring equality and electricity to all the people in Vinyl City and yes--it’s exactly as ridiculous as that sounds. No Straight Roads is an action game that is pure punk rock down to its soul and DNA. Much like punk, it’s kind of a mess at times, and not always in a way that works in the game’s favour. It reminds me of a talented and good-natured garage band who really believe they can make it but need a bit of support to reach the top. That's part of the charm, though, and No Straight Roads features a lot of really good concepts and some absolutely excellent music to back them all up.In No Straight Roads, you play as the rock duo Bunk Bed Junction. The band is made up of the hyperactive lead guitarist Mayday and chill technical drum wizard Zuke, who live in the sewers of the futuristic Vinyl City where electricity is powered by music. No Straight Roads (NSR) is the name of the governing company which controls this power, and thus also music, and it's decided that EDM is king. May and Zuke want to bring rock music back to the city, but when they’re unjustly booted from a competition that might have seen them join NSR, they start to talk about revolution instead. The deal is sealed upon witnessing yet another blackout in the city where only NSR bigwigs have access to emergency power; all they do with it is throw sick EDM concerts. Thus Bunk Bed Junction decides to take out the top five NSR artists in music battles to rise to the top and bring electricity and musical equality back to the masses. Claim Serious Sam: The First Encounter Serious Sam: The First Encounter originally released in 2001, so Croteam's debut title in the long-running series certainly looks more than a bit dated. That said, it's a classic that's well worth checking out, even if you're just curious about early iterations of the now ubiquitous first-person shooter genre.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Developer Rockstar Games has rolled out a brand-new update for Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The full patch notes, which are pretty brief, are outlined below. The new Red Dead 2 patch doesn't do much--it's focused on general stability and bug fixes, rather than introducing new features or content, according to the patch notes. Perhaps the most important adjustment is a fix for problems where players were unable to play single-player or multiplayer games after a crash on PC. You can also expect some connection issues to be resolved.Otherwise, the patch irons out a pseudo-duplication issue where players were able to buy the Horned Variant Bow with gold despite already owning it and addresses abrupt time-of-day changes on PC. Because it's so brief, the update only weighs in at 200 MB on Steam, 240 MB on the Epic Games Store, 1.2 GB on both the Rockstar Games Launcher and PlayStation 4, and 3.2 GB on Xbox One.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

A report from livestreaming tool company StreamElements and stream analytics firm Arsenal.gg shows that even as cities started to open following lockdowns caused by the coronavirus pandemic, viewership was far above last year for the same time period. In July 2020, both Twitch and Facebook Gaming saw significant increases over July 2019.Twitch went from 851 million hours to 1.4 billion year-over-year, a 67% increase. Facebook had a much smaller increase in raw numbers, but greater growth, going from 109 million to 345 million. As the report notes, this was all amid Mixer shutting down, which led to high-profile streamers who had cut deals with Microsoft either moving back to Twitch or migrating to Facebook.Meanwhile, in month-over-month figures from June to July, some of the top games slightly decreased in viewership. Those include League of Legends, Fortnite, Grand Theft Auto 5, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, among others. A handful of games actually got an increase in viewership, though: Valorant, Minecraft, and World of Warcraft. Minecraft saw the single biggest increase, at a whopping 37% change compared to the others only increasing by single-digits.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

If you're an abiding fan of old-school Sega classics, we've got good news for you. As revealed by IGN, a new Wonder Boy game is under development, complete with members of the series' original development team. Titled Wonder Boy - Asha in Monster World, the game will be directed by original series creator Ryuichi Nishizawa.Though the Wonder Boy (also known as Monster World) games are lesser-known compared to other Sega franchises--primarily due to the fact that most of the Wonder Boy games are for the Sega Master System, not the more-successful Genesis--they represent an important part of Sega's history. This new Wonder Boy game will star Asha, who was introduced in 1994's Monster World IV, a game that didn't leave Japan until a 2012 console release. The original Wonder Boy is perhaps best-known in English-speaking territories as Adventure Island, which spawned its own set of unrelated sequels. In recent years, the Wonder Boy series has received a number of high-profile entries, including Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap--a total remake of the third game in the series--and Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom, a new game set in the same universe. Though Nishizawa collaborated on those two projects, this will be the first that he has led development on. More details on Asha in Monster World will be revealed during the Gamescom Awesome Indies showcase, which will premiere on 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET on Saturday, August 29.Info from Gamespot.com
