Google has announced a new round of games joining its Stadia Pro subscription service in September, including Hitman, Metro: Last Light Redux, and more.There are six games being added to the service in total. Starting on September 1, you can download Embr, Gunsport, Hello Neighbor, Hitman, Metro: Last Light Redux, and Super Bomberman R Online with an active Stadia Pro subscription. Each game is also available to purchase individually.While a handful of games are joining Stadia Pro, there are a few that are leaving the service. On August 31, Get Packed, Grid, and Kona will no longer be free to download. If you download these games before the end of the month, you can keep them for as long as you're a Stadia Pro subscriber. Discoverability on digital storefronts is one of the biggest concerns on launch day for game developers, especially if the game you are launching isn't the sort that will take up a massive banner on a homepage. But for Descenders, which launched today on PS4, even searching the exact name didn't help.Mike Rose, from publisher No More Robots, demonstrated this in a short video today showing how difficult it was to find Descenders on the PlayStation Store. Not only was the game not featured in any of the store's highlighted sub-categories for new releases or featured titles, but Rose had to scroll through numerous other titles to find Descenders even with a direct word search. The Kate McKinnon-led series about Carole Baskin and the "Tiger King" Joe Exotic has received a multi-platform series order, according to Deadline. The NBCUniversal show, whose working title is Joe Exotic, will be rolling out across three different NBCU platforms: NBC (a broadcast network), Peacock (a streaming service), and USA (a basic cable network).No air date or other casting choices--aside from McKinnon--have yet been announced. The limited series, originally announced back in November, revisits the now familiar story popularized by the Netflix series Tiger King, in which an animal breeder and a big-cat enthusiast have a quickly escalating rivalry. There is another high-profile adaptation in the works, with Nicolas Cage as Joe Exotic. Star Wars Battlefront 2 is getting a new patch tomorrow, August 26, and it's a small one. The update takes aim at some nasty issues that have been affecting the game's Imperial Heroes, specifically Darth Maul, Darth Vader, and General Grievous.Darth Vader's damage reduction traits could be built up over time, which was allowing him to survive more than the developers intended. General Grevious's Claw Rush currently hits more times than it should, so that's getting nerfed. And Darth Maul should be able to block after performing his Spin Attack now. The patch will go live at 12 PM PT / 3 AM ET on August 26.Battlefront 2's final major update came back in May 2020, and it brought the Supremacy and Instant Action modes to a number of new maps, including Hoth and Tatooine. Oculus, one of the companies that has helped pioneer virtual reality over the last handful of years, is being consolidated underneath a new name. As part of a rebranding effort to combine multiple departments, Facebook has decided to group it with other AR/VR ventures under the name Facebook Reality Labs.The news comes on the heels of the renaming of Oculus' annual event, Oculus Connect, which will now take place on September 16 under the its new title, Facebook Connect. This event is rumored to feature the reveal for the next Oculus Quest iteration, and it's unclear now if new products in Facebook's VR line will continue to bear the Oculus branding.In a post on Tech@Facebook, the move was described as a means to make clearer which VR projects were owned by Facebook. Apparently, a user typed that their building has 212 floors instead of 2, which led to the creation of the thin monstrosity.The error was later corrected by another @openstreetmap user, BUT, in the interim, Microsoft took an export of the data and used it to build Flight Simulator 2020. It's been less than a week since WWE has implemented its Thunderdome, which turns the once-empty arenas into a sea of glowing screens with WWE fans on them, via their own computer at home. Ahead of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War's reveal, which is slated for August 26, editions of the game have leaked online. There are three available, with two that include a next-gen upgrade. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is one of horror's longest-running franchises, with eight movies made so far since 1974. The latest film in the series was in production in Bulgaria, but it has been reported that production has been shut down after a week of shooting.According to Deadline, producers have fired original directors Andy and Ryan Tohill over "creative differences," and hired David Blue Garcia to helm the movie instead. Deadline's sources state that producers Legendary Pictures didn't like the footage that it had seen so far and has decided to start again from scratch. It took 30 years to get a third Bill & Ted movie made. It's finally here, though, with the upcoming release of Bill & Ted Face the Music.
