Stardew Valley developer Eric Barone is currently working on Update 1.5, another huge free upgrade to the farming game. When it releases, it will include new endgame content and lots more, growing the already very generous game even further. Now Barone has touched on whether there will be more Stardew Valley--whether through more updates or a full sequel.Speaking to Game Informer, Barone touches on the game's future, saying that he's not sure what's next after 1.5, but that there will probably be more Stardew Valley. "I’m not willing to commit to Stardew Valley 1.6,†he said, but also said that he doesn't think the next update "will be the end of Stardew Valley." But he hasn't decided on a path forward just yet."I would not be surprised if there’s another Stardew Valley update, or multiple updates, or a Stardew Valley 2," Barone said. "Who knows? There’s isn’t currently a Stardew Valley 2; after 1.5, I’ll decide what the next step for Stardew Valley is."Barone notes that he has other solo projects on the go right now, but that that "there will probably be another step for Stardew Valley" at some point in the future. If you want a physical copy of Stardew Valley, you can currently pre-order this beautiful special edition.Info from Gamespot.com

The Xbox Series S has been unveiled, and the lower-spec $299 unit is set to launch on November 10 alongside the Xbox Series X. Alongside the new system, which comes in a white chassis, Microsoft has also unveiled a new controller color to match it.The "robot white" controller is what you'll get in the box if you buy a Series S, and aside from the color it'll be the same as the controller included with the Series X. That means you'll get an improved D-Pad, a textured grip across the triggers and bumpers, and a share button. When something looks this good, it’s okay to want more than one.Announcing the Robot White controller. Enhanced for the next gen. Compatible with the current gen: https://t.co/1F86gEIEOG pic.twitter.com/F6xVm6qMFw — Xbox (@Xbox) September 10, 2020If you prefer this design to the black controller bundled in with the Series X, the good news is that this controller will be available separately, too. It's also compatible with the Xbox One and PC, so if you just want a new controller with a share button for your current systems you can pick one up. Individual pricing for the new controllers has not been announced yet. The Series S/X will also be compatible with Xbox One controllers, including the Elite controller. While we now know quite a bit about Xbox's next-gen launch, we are still waiting on a final release date and price for Sony's PS5. Like Microsoft, Sony is releasing two versions of the console, but they will be identical except for either having or omitting a disc drive. Their new controller is the DualSense, and it seems that PS5 games will not be playable with a DualShock 4.Info from Gamespot.com

Frank Herbert's Dune is arguably one of the most famous sci-fi novels of all time. The sprawling epic about spice and sandworms (among other things) has been adapted to live action not once, but twice--the first by director David Lynch (yes, that David Lynch) back in 1984 and the second as a mini-series on the SyFy channel back in 2000. There was even a failed attempt by surrealist auteur director Alejandro Jodorowsky (Tusk) which never saw the light of day--but was turned into a much-loved documentary back in 2013.Neither were particularly well received by fans--though the memes, particularly of Lynch's version--which included musician Sting in a sci-fi thong--still hold up.Now, director Denis Villeneuve (Blade Runner 2049, Arrival) is hoping that the third time will be the charm. He is directing his own adaptation consisting of two movies to cover the first Herbert novel, starring Timothee Chalamet, Oscar Isaac, Rebecca Ferguson, Zendaya, and Josh Brolin. The production has been kept closely under wraps thus far, with only a small handful of stills and images from set making their way onto social media--but that's all about to change. The first trailer for Villeneuve's Dune is set to land online on September 9.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

The big multiplayer reveal of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is coming soon, after being leaked. Read on for all you need to know about accessing the beta.Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Open Beta Start DatesActivision has not announced beta dates, but leaks on other Call of Duty marketplaces (via Tracker Network and Reddit) have consistently given October 8 as the start date on PlayStation 4. If accurate, that would make it exclusive to PS4 until at least October 13, as the company already noted that its exclusivity deal with Sony guaranteed PlayStation access at least five days before other platforms. We could see the PC and Xbox One versions launch roughly a week after the PS4 version. How To Gain Beta AccessYou can guarantee beta access by pre-ordering Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Activision also offered beta code giveaways for viewers of the Call of Duty League matchups. That event is over, but the company could offer more giveaway opportunities in the future across its social media channels.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

A special Apple Event Twitter hashtag was discovered on September 8 and sparked speculation on when the next Apple Event would happen. Apple has confirmed that a special event will take place on September 15 at 10 AM PDT.Aside from the succinct "Join us from Apple Park" under the public invite images, no other real details have been attached to the announcement. In press invites, the event is titled "Time Flies." Like WWDC20 (Apple's developers conference), this event will likely be entirely livestreamed. The September Apple Event is rumored to include more details about the iPhone 12 and the Apple Watch 6 series. Digitimes reported in 2019 that Apple told its suppliers to expect a new generation iPhone to launch in 2020. And since we haven't seen any news of the 5G iPhone 12 this year yet, the September event could contain information about it. However, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reports that the September Apple Event will not include the iPhone 12, and instead will focus on "the iPad and Apple Watch in all likelihood."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Most of the characters introduced in the original Crash Bandicoot have stuck around in one way or another throughout the series' history, but the same can't be said for Tawna. Once a love interest for Crash before being completely ejected from the series, the character is back in Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time.In keeping with the sequel's theme of dimension hopping, Tawna isn't the same character that Crash and Coco have met before. Instead she's an entirely new one from another dimension--a heroine with a grappling hook that is Crash Bandicoot 4's final playable character. Just like Neo Cortex and Dingodile, Tawna will have specific levels catered to her play style, which you can see in the extended gameplay below from PlayStation Underground.Tawna is more agile than any other character, with the ability to do wall jumps and swings with her grappling hook. The hook itself is a weapon, too, which can be used to take out enemies at a distance. Tawna can also spin and hop on enemies to dispatch them too. As seen in the gameplay, Tawna's levels will also be featured in the game's previously announced Inverted mode, which flips each stage and adds new twists to them (in this case a monochromatic mode where you splash color around with your actions).Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Xbox All Access was introduced years ago as a way for customers to buy an Xbox One without having to pay the full price upfront.
