During today's Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War multiplayer reveal stream, the game's Zombies mode was announced in a 12-second gameplay clip. The clip is in first person and shows the player walking through a pretty spooky facility of some kind, where the only sources of light seem to be red emergency lights and a small flashlight. The player ascends a graffiti-covered staircase, then in a found footage move a la Blair Witch, the camera cuts to the next portion of the facility where something is hopping on the floor. Another quick, grainy red cut shows the player on a catwalk approaching some kind of pit. There are about a dozen zombies shuffling around menacingly down there, but as we see in the last cut, they're not trapped. One has escaped and the video ends with it knocking the player's block off.BREAKING: Black Ops Cold War Zombies Mode Teaser pic.twitter.com/ymrvSZhZk9 — Call of Duty News (@charlieINTEL) September 9, 2020If this tiny teaser whet your appetite for the latest COD's multiplayer modes, you're in luck. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is arriving on the cusp of a new generation of consoles, but that won't segment the player base. During today's multiplayer reveal event, Activision reconfirmed that Black Ops Cold War will support cross-play and cross-progression, even across console generations. As detailed on Activision's blog, Black Ops Cold War progression will be tied to players' Activision accounts, so they can freely switch between different platforms and have their progress carry over wherever they go. This applies to next-gen consoles as well; players can, for instance, begin the game on PS4 and then move to the PS5 version with all of their progress intact when that console launches later this year.In addition to cross-progression, Black Ops Cold War will support cross-play, so players will be able to party up with those on other platforms. As Activision explains, "With Black Ops Cold War, an entire Multiplayer party could be comprised of up of to five players who are playing the game across the available five platforms, including next and current generation consoles as well as PC."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Despite Mediatonic's best efforts, cheaters are still running rampant in the PC version of Fall Guys. Cheaters have been floating in the air over Jump Showdown, flying up the hill in Fall Mountain, and even growing to be three times the normal player's size in Fall Ball. Honest players have had enough.Team scores own goals to stop cheater winning from r/FallGuysGame"I wish I could see the hacker raging at the fact that everyone turned against him, including his own team," said Redditor Dustin1280. Players have worked together to sabotage their own teams in Egg Scramble, Fall Ball, and other team games in order to prevent the cheaters on their team from winning.Players have been sacrificing themselves to stop cheaters since the game launched, but the number of cheaters has only grown alongside the player base. The problem has gotten so bad that some cheaters have come up with strategies to mass-eliminate players from games like See Saw.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Funko has unveiled a lineup of Halo Infinite Pops, all of which focus on Master Chief. Three of the Pop figures will be available widely, while another trio will be retailer exclusives at GameStop, Target, and Best Buy. Check out all six of the new designs below. Halo Infinite Funko Pops $12 each If you prefer your Master Chief Funko to be conventional, you can get a Pop with his standard green armor. While the Wonder Woman 1984 trailer released at DC FanDome gave fans something to be excited for this October, there is a chance the movie is getting pushed back yet again. According to a report from Deadline, because movie theaters are slow to reopen across the United States, Warner Bros. is rethinking about the DC movie's release date.According to the report, the October 2 release for WW84 won't work and it could get pushed back to November or even late December. A release date in late December may conflict with a movie from Warner's Legendary imprint, Dune, which is set to release on December 18. And even if everyone is exceptionally excited over Dune's recent trailer release, WW84 being pushed back may mean the sci-fi film would get delayed until 2021.WW84 was originally going to release on June 24. It was then pushed back to August 14 because of the pandemic, and was pushed back yet again until October 2. While WW84 has yet to release, director Patty Jenkins already has a few ideas for a third film.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Like most movie and TV productions during the COVID-19 pandemic, FX's Fargo came to a halt back in March while shooting Season 4. However, a new premiere date of September 27 was announced by the network last month, and this long break was actually good for the star of the new season, Chris Rock.During an FX event for the press, Rock discussed just what it was like working on a TV show in the midst of a pandemic. "I got in the car. I kissed my wife. She went over the bridge. No that's that Will Smith movie. I'm sorry," Rock said during the press event, referring to Smith's I Am Legend. "It was definitely frustrating to stop when we stopped because you feel like you're on a roll. But you know, you're eight shows in, and you're also exhausted."It allowed me--I don't know about everybody else--to like recharge my battery. And, you know, and I saw a couple of the episodes, I was like, 'Okay, let me work on my game.' I don't know if anybody's following basketball right now but the Miami Heat is like, 'Oh they had a break, and now they're better than everybody,' even though they weren't before--like the break helped them more than everybody else. So the break helped me. Honestly, I think my last two shows are my best."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

GameStop is the biggest video game retailer in the world, but the publicly-traded company has experienced instability in recent years due to shifts in games consumption, particularly the decline of the used game market. The company released its official earnings report for Q2 (June-August in this case) today, and while the numbers aren't quite as dismal as last year, they're still not promising either.Overall, GameStop reported a net loss of $111 million, compared to $415 million from the same period last year. However, net sales dropped from $1.2 billion to $900 million--a decrease of 26.7%--which can likely be attributed in part to store closures caused by the ongoing coronavirus crisis. There was a 13% reduction in total store operating days due to COVID-19, and a 10% reduction in the overall number of stores. The company did champion a 800% increase in e-commerce sales, which represents 20% of its net sales. The company's stock decreased by more than 4% due to the report.GameStop made national headlines back in March when the retailer tried to declare itself an essential business, with the company's management ordering staff to resist efforts by authorities to close their stores. GameStop later went back on this claim, closing stores to in-person retail and offering curbside pickup instead. The retailer plans to close more than 300 stores this year. The upcoming launch of the PS5 and Xbox Series X will be a boon to the company in the short-term, but it's still unclear what effect that will have in the long-term.Info from Gamespot.com
