The second act of Destiny 2's first new episode, Echoes, adds two new guns to the list of weapons you can acquire from the episode's activities. Like other episode weapons, you can eventually earn the ability to buy those two guns from Failsafe, the Echoes vendor. However, the ability to "focus" Echoes engrams into Aberrant Action or Corrasion isn't immediately available with the launch of the episode. Instead, you have to earn it as a vendor upgrade by completing Failsafe's tasks. The bad news is that the ability to unlock focusing for Aberrant Action and Corrasion isn't available during the first week of Act 2, even if you grind all the available story and Failsafe content this week. But we have a sense of what you'll need to do to unlock it when it does become available. Both guns are pretty notable: Aberrant Action is a rocket-assisted sidearm and just the third of that type of gun in the game, while Corrasion is a heavy pulse rifle that has a different feel from just about any other pulse. That makes being able to secure god rolls on them through focusing or crafting an enticing proposition.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Recent changes to World of Warcraft's Classic Era servers are being reverted "immediately," Blizzard has announced, after the developer apologized for failing to discuss "shortsighted" quality-of-life updates to the old-school version of Blizzard's long-running MMORPG.The update, released last week, was originally designed for WoW Classic's more experimental Season of Discovery servers. However, Blizzard intentionally opted to bring some of the changes to the game's non-seasonal Classic Era servers too. Those changes allowed Druids to wield polearms, granted Alliance players a powerful new world buff on par with the Horde's existing Warchief's Blessing buff, and updated the game's guild interface to match that of the modern game. Those changes took the Classic Era community, which generally doesn't enjoy major changes to the (for the most part) 2006 version of WoW, by surprise. Players were so surprised, in fact, that many on Reddit believed the changes had simply been a mistake on Blizzard's part, only to later learn that the changes were indeed intended. Now, Blizzard said those changes (minus the guild UI) are being removed, citing a "lack of communication" that "was not in line with our values."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Shooting your friends in Call of Duty never gets old, but sometimes it's fun to mix it up. Modern Warfare 3's Season 5 content drop (which also includes fresh content for Warzone and Warzone Mobile) is coming soon, and it includes 15 new minigames for you and your teammates to enjoy. These minigames are included in the new CoD Warrior mode, which puts three teams of two against each other in a gauntlet of minigames where the first team to win five rounds claims victory for the match. These bite-sized experiences last from 30 to 90 seconds, giving you a variety of weapons depending on each. However, you always have one life in each, with no respawns. The full list of minigames is below. They include "beat up the car," where you and your teammate use sledgehammers to destroy a vehicle; the Matrix-inspired "bullet time," where you use low-velocity weapons in slow-mo and try to dodge fire; and "don't shoot," where you spawn in a circle with a pistol, but shooting it kills you. It's quite a fun collection of games, so check it out when it drops this month.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Season 1 of The Acolyte has been strange. The production values are great, the performances excellent, the action freakin' awesome. But now that the finale has aired, the response is pretty negative across the board because it doesn't really add up. In other words, we don't really know what's actually going on in this series. We watched a bunch of stuff happen, and it was cool to see, but it's impossible to know what any of it means because we don't have enough information. This article is free of any spoilers for Star Wars: The Acolyte. But you can read a spoiler-filled discussion of The Acolyte season finale here if you'd like to read more.In that sense, The Acolyte is a show that requires a second season, or else it'll end up as an utterly pointless and massively expensive streaming paperweight. Whether it "deserves" another season based on ratings or quality is a separate discussion and not really relevant. What's at issue here is Disney's and the Star Wars brand's relationship with its fans--there's no trust there whatsoever, and for good reason. But it is possible to fix it. Disney just desperately needs to demonstrate some follow-through, something it hasn't shown much of within Star Wars or Marvel in recent years.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
