October is upon us, which means a new assortment of bugs, fish, and sea creatures will soon begin appearing in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. That also means that certain species will be leaving your island in only a couple of days, making this your last chance to catch them in the game for a little while. Now that fall has begun in Northern Hemisphere islands, many of the remaining summer bugs and fish will be heading into hibernation come October. By contrast, only a handful of critters are leaving Southern Hemisphere islands next month, but you'll still want to catch them while you can to fill out your encyclopedia. In 2005, Henry Cavill auditioned for the role of James Bond, but he didn't get the part. The actor went on to have success with the role of Superman and more recently, as Geralt of Rivia in Netflix's fantasy show. Cavill has now opened up about James Bond specifically, saying in an interview with GQ that he would "absolutely jump" at the idea of playing Bond in a future movie.Cavill was only 22 when he auditioned for 007 for Casino Royale, and that would have made him the youngest actor to play the role. He's now 37, and with Daniel Craig stepping down from the role after No Time To Die, the producers will be looking for a new super-spy. Nothing is decided yet, of course, but Cavill wants the producers to know he's interested."If [Bond producer Barbara Broccoli] and Mike [co-producer Michael G. Wilson] were interested in that, I would absolutely jump at the opportunity," Cavill said. "At this stage, it's all up in the air. We'll see what happens. But yes, I would love to play Bond, it would be very, very exciting."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

The bug was a game-breaker, but thankfully it's now been addressed in a patch. In threads on Reddit, several players reported being unable to load their save files on Switch after several hours of play. The issue seemed to depend on which stats players had focused on in their mirror upgrades, but quite a few players reported seeing an issue.Supergiant has addressed the bug in the past, saying that they were confident that they would be able to isolate and address it so that players could continue their journeys, and that has now happened. In a tweet, Supergiant announced that a new patch is available on Switch, and it fixes this issue while also containing "several other minor fixes and improvements."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Legends are slippery things. One tells of Arthur, the once and future King of Britain who united the realm against the Saxon invaders. Where historical fact is elusive, literary fancy has imagined Arthur's idyllic court of Camelot, its chambers populated with knights, wizards, and witches, its halls reverberating with chivalry, romance, and betrayal. In exploring the legend of Arthur, Pendragon mixes interactive fiction and tactical combat within a short-form roguelike structure to tell myriad tales. As a study of how myths are formed from countless half-truths, it's effective. But as a narrative journey, it feels slight, its more admirable efforts undermined by repetition and an uneasy relationship with combat. In this particular rendition of Arthurian legend, the story always begins in 673 A.D., about a week before Arthur reaches the castle of Camlann to face his son, Mordred, whose challenge for the throne has ignited a civil war. Each time you roll a new game, you'll play as one of Arthur's court--his estranged wife Guinevere, her possible lover Sir Lancelot, the enigmatic Merlin, to name three of the more familiar characters--dashing across Britain to aid the king in the climactic showdown. En route, you will run into characters that you can convince to ride with your banner, others you'll need to put to the sword, and an alarming number of wolves, snakes, giant spiders, and rats to fight or flee from. Though rest and rations will help the wounded recover, all members of your party--even your starting character--can die permanently, and the journey is over if everyone falls in battle. A complete run will typically take only 20-30 minutes, depending on how quickly you find Camlann. The rapid turnaround of a run serves to highlight the dynamic nature of Pendragon's storytelling. By embarking on a new journey, you'll quickly find yourself exploring a reconfigured map, discovering new locations and story events, and accumulating alternate perspectives on the core myths of the land. And the game does a remarkable job tying together the many disparate narrative threads you can follow throughout one run. In one run, I began as Morgana Le Fay before meeting and recruiting Guinevere. Morgana was later wounded in battle while Guinevere fled, leaving me to play on as the latter. By the time I reached Camlann, Guinevere too had perished and so I ended up facing Mordred's knights with just Arthur's brother, Sir Kay, and a strong-armed peasant blacksmith in tow. What's impressive is that the dialogue doesn't miss a beat; conversations feel coherent and reactive to whatever choice and chaos has occurred along the way.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

When Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson appeared at the first day of DC FanDome, he brought with him some exciting news about the upcoming Black Adam movie. During the panel, the former WWE wrestler revealed that the film will introduce the Justice Society of America, which is a team of superheroes that preceded the Justice League. Among the JSA members slated to appear are Dr. Fate, Cyclone, and Hawkman. Until now, though, none of those roles had been cast.According to The Hollywood Reporter, Underground and The Invisible Man star Aldis Hodge is in final talks to take on the role of Hawkman. That would make him the third actor to sign on for Black Adam, after Johnson and Noah Centineo, who will play Atom Smasher. At this point, we don't know much about Black Adam, outside of what Johnson shared at FanDome, where he revealed that his take on the antihero has a strict sense of personal justice, which may not exactly align with the JSA. However, based on how the information was presented, it certainly sounds like he'll be working with the Society, rather than against them.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Resident Evil fans have been getting absolutely spoiled as of late, with the Resident Evil 3 remake releasing earlier this year and Resident Evil Village following in 2021. However, they're also going to get an all-new CG Netflix series next year called Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness, and it stars two of the most iconic characters in the franchise.Announced during the Tokyo Game Show, Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness stars Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield, who were both previously in Resident Evil 2. The series seems to live up to its title based on the visuals we've seen thus far, and it looks like it could be taking a more horror-focused and less action-heavy route than some of the previous Resident Evil CG projects. This would seem fitting, as Chris and Claire starred in a game that relied much more heavily on tension and suspense than all-out chaos.Infinite darkness is fast approaching. Are you ready? pic.twitter.com/PXfhUNjPE4 — NX (@NXOnNetflix) September 27, 2020Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness isn't the only project Netflix has in the works for the franchise. It's also going to air a live-action show that stars Albert Wesker's twin daughters. Set in two different time periods, it seems like it will add more context to the Wesker family, and it's being produced by Cosntantin Film -- the same production company that handled the live-action films. Those were far removed from the games' canon, so we'll have to wait and see if the same thing happens with the series.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is one of the most acclaimed games in Bethesda's library, but it is definitely showing its age more than 14 years since it released. A group of developers is looking to fix that with the Skyblivion project, which reimagines Oblivion as if it were made in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim's engine. As you can see in the video below, the results are very impressive so far.In development in one form or another since 2012, Skyblivion is the complete Oblivion experience remade in the Skyrim engine. That includes all DLC packs, all weapons, all quests, and all locations. The mod is free, but you must own Oblivion and Skyrim already, along with their DLC expansions, in order to run it. Though Bethesda does support mods on consoles, it’s only available on PC.It isn't just transferring game data into a new engine, though. The team also used existing lore and some creative license to improve on areas it found underwhelming in the original Oblivion. Interior areas are getting a particularly large overhaul to more accurately portray the world, with shops showing what items are on sale, and caves will house mines and goblins. With the first pass of the overworld nearly done, the team is moving forward on places like inns and shops.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

The Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S are both capable of loading game worlds almost instantly, delivering seamless gameplay that won't leave you waiting for minutes on a loading screen as an area is generated. That advantage compared to Xbox One is largely because of the new Xbox storage device, which is a custom NVMe SSD rather than the hard drives used previously. It's one of the biggest game-changers going into the next generation, and if you're wondering how it all works, we'll break it down for you.How does Xbox storage work on the new systems?Regardless of whether you get the Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S, your console comes with a custom Non-Volatile Memory Host Express solid-state drive: NVMe SSD for short. It's small, loads incredibly quickly, and because it's an SDD rather than a hard drive, there aren't moving parts.Games install to this drive much like they do on current-generation consoles, and because even the fastest disc drives aren't up to the challenge, you must fully install games onto the drives to play them on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. For the X model, you get 1TB of internal storage, while the S has 512GB.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
