If you've been craving some chaotic kitchen antics, developer Ghost Town Games has served up a free content update for Overcooked 2 which is out now on all platforms. The Moon Harvest Festival update brings with it new kitchens, recipes, and ridiculous dangers to avoid as you try cook up a storm in its highly impractical spaces. This time, kitchens are afloat on majestic-looking ponds, with lily pads connecting sectors of the kitchen. In true Overcook fashion, these lily pads sink after being stood on, forcing you to be both quick and strategic when moving around the new kitchen. The update includes a new recipe for mooncakes, too, which look to come in three delicious-looking variations. There's also just a nice ambience to the ensuing chaos, with a large koi sculpture flanking your stoves and fireworks lighting up the sky above. October has arrived. That means, most likely, that you'll be streaming all kinds of scary movies and TV shows for the next month. After all, Netflix is finally giving us The Haunting of Bly Manor soon. There's plenty of non-horror content to check out this month, though, and some of the most anticipated titles are coming to Disney+.Of course, the biggest thing in October is the debut of The Mandalorian Season 2. The live-action Star Wars series coming back means we're going to get even more Baby Yoda. Honestly, that's something we all need in 2020. This season will also see a new character introduced that's played by none other than WWE superstar Sasha Banks, who can be seen in a trailer for the series.Another exciting arrival on Disney+ this month is X2: X-Men United. The X-Men sequel first released in 2003, and joins a number of other films in the franchise that are already available on the platform. Interestingly, though, there are still a number of X-Men titles missing. You won't be able to watch X-Men: The Last Stand, X-Men: First Class, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Dark Phoenix, or either of the Deadpool films.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

EA has pulled an ad promoting FIFA microtransactions from a UK magazine aimed at children, following a backlash. The company issued a mea culpa statement regarding the ad, saying it "appeared in environments it shouldn't have."Eurogamer reports that ads for FIFA Ultimate Team appeared in the Smyth's toy shop magazine. FUT is a big money-maker for EA, thanks to the sale of FIFA Points that are used to buy randomized packs. The loot box mechanic has drawn comparisons to gambling as the microtransaction practice has been under added scrutiny, so marketing it towards children was criticized especially sharply. Some fans called for a boycott.Put your two eyes 👀 on step two.#ThisIsntOK pic.twitter.com/IA6HRv2Elf — FIFA21Mistakes (@AllFifaMistakes) September 26, 2020EA issued a statement to Eurogamer saying it is reviewing all future media placements and apologizing for the ad appearing in the magazine.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Netflix's Cobra Kai was the runaway title on Nielsen's latest weekly list of top 10 streaming shows in terms of minutes watched. For the week between August 31 and September 6, Nielsen--the information, data, and measurement firm synonymous with TV ratings--clocked the series set in The Karate Kid universe as logging 2,171 million minutes across 20 episodes. In the second spot is another Netflix series: Lucifer with 1,415 million minutes.Nielsen's expansion into measuring viewing habits on streaming shows is a new, and very recent development: Back in late August, Fox Sports executive Michael Mulvihill tweeted about the "significance" of the move, also signaling "the first time TV viewing outside the home will be fully integrated into Nielsen's national TV ratings."In addition to whatever perceptions there might be about Nielsen lagging behind the times, it's worth noting that the list is still catching up with the landscape--even though ratings take a while to be released to reflect that. When the list first premiered in early September, Nielsen was only measuring programs on Netflix and Amazon. Since then, both Disney+ and Hulu have been added, and we can expect to see more streaming services included in the future.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Blizzard Entertainment has delayed the release of World of Warcraft's Shadowlands expansion due to working from home conditions caused by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. A new release date has not been determined, but the studio said Shadowlands will still release later this year.In a blog post announcing the delay, executive producer John Hight said it wasn't an easy decision to make but one that was necessary for the expansion and for World of Warcraft players. Hight also said the additional development time will allow the team to add extra polish to Shadowlands' endgame."As everything started coming together and we've been listening to and building upon your feedback, it's become clear we need a little more time for additional polish, and to balance and iterate on some interlocking pieces--particularly those related to the endgame," Hight said. "Shadowlands is one of the most intricate expansions we've yet created, and while we've made great progress, the challenge of tuning the endgame was compounded by the team having to work from home.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Good news for Mulan fans who, for whatever reason, don't yet have Disney+: The live-action adaptation will be available for purchase on other platforms next week. However, it will still cost $30--arguably a steep price to pay in SD, HD, or 4K UHD formats via Amazon Video, Google Play, NBCUniversal's FandangoNow and Vudu. (It should be noted that Mulan has been available on Disney+ for additional $30 since September 4.) However, people cannot say the price threshold is not without precedent: There was a similar sticker shock for Bill & Ted Face The Music's $25 asking price, which has come to be understood as the trade-off for a movie intended for theatrical release instead debuting on-demand because of COVID-19. The film, directed by Niki Caro (The Zookeeper's Wife, Whale Rider), is a live-action reimagining of the 1998 Disney animated film with the same name, which was based on the Chinese folklore "The Ballad of Mulan." The animated film's sequel, Mulan II, was direct-to-video and is also currently streaming on Disney+. Like the original, the new Mulan follows a young warrior in China who disguises herself to spare her elderly father from having to serve in the military.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Halo developer 343 Industries has provided an update on some of the features coming to The Master Chief Collection in the future, including cross-play.In a blog post, the studio said cross-play between Xbox One and PC is currently "in test with our QA team," which suggests it may be ready for release relatively soon. More specifically, 343 said cross-play and other new features could begin to appear in MCC through an upcoming beta test, or "flight," for Halo 4 on PC. The beta test will also be available on Xbox One. To get in, you'll need to sign up for the free Halo Insider program and hope to be chosen.Cross-play will come to MCC with another new feature, the ability to select your preferred input device for matchmaking. This will give players the ability to choose who they play against when it comes to controls--that could be a big deal because mouse & keyboard is generally understood to be a more precise manner of controls compared to a gamepad. In 2015, Microsoft worked with Saber Interactive on a free-to-play Halo game for Russia called Halo Online. It was short-lived, however, as Microsoft canceled it before it even left beta. The game may get a new lease on life, as Microsoft has teased that maps from Halo Online could be incorporated into Halo: The Master Chief Collection in the future.Design director Max Szlagor said in a blog post that included among the many, many other new features that are being discussed for MCC are Halo Online maps. "Is there an opportunity to bring over some of the Halo Online maps? There’s a lot of options out there and it’s all dependent on what’s feasible and everything takes time and has to be measured against the bug list, backlog, and feature priorities," Szlagor said. "All in all, we are definitely looking towards more goodness and continuing with more seasons."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
