One of Rainbow Six Siege's most infamous operators is getting a major revamp, and Ubisoft has now detailed what and when to expect the rework. Tachanka has been a regular subject of memes, but he has a few new tools to make sure he's no longer the butt of jokes among the other operators.Tachanka's rework comes in two key areas: a new primary weapon, and a new primary gadget. His turret is no longer locked down to the floor, but he still packs a lot of power with the DP27 LMG. Now he'll carry it around with him, giving him more mobility. He's still slow, but his portable LMG can be used to cut through soft walls easily and deal heavy damage. He also gets a second new tool, the Shumikha launcher. This grenade launcher can be used to launch fire grenades which will suppress entry points with a temporary fire effect. One round can shut down a single door, and you can quickly pivot to others for multiple entry points. Plus the grenades bounce, so you don't necessarily need a line-of-sight to an entry point or enemy.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Though delayed several months by the coronavirus pandemic, Amazon Prime Day 2020 is set to run a full 48 hours again this year starting next week on Tuesday, October 13. As usual, Amazon's biggest competitors have started to announce major sales of their own to compete with Amazon's yearly blowout sale for Prime members, and with the holiday shopping season coming up fast, it'll be a great opportunity to save some serious cash on games, tech, and more.As of right now, we've only learned about a few of the Prime Day-adjacent sales happening next week, and we've detailed what we know about them below. We expect to add more stores to this list in the coming days, as we also saw competing sales from Best Buy, Ebay, GameStop, and Fanatical last year. In the meantime, catch up on the latest Amazon Prime Day 2020 details, including early deals available now, tips for getting the best discounts, and more. Walmart Big Save Event October 11 through October 15 Walmart is getting the jump on Amazon by launching its big sale a couple of days before Prime Day. Walmart's "Big Save" event kicks off this coming Sunday, October 11 at 4 PM PT / 7 PM ET and runs through Thursday, October 15, ending a day after Prime Day. The Walmart sale will bring steep discounts across all of its categories, including games and electronics. Though we don't know most of what will be on sale, Walmart did tease a few upcoming discounts, including Super Mario Party for $40, the JVC 55-inch 4K Roku Smart TV for $248, and the Roku Ultra LT streaming device for $69. Walmart promised "Black Friday-like savings" during the Big Save event, so it'll be worth checking out what games, accessories, and more are on sale. Go to Walmart Target Deal Days October 13 and 14 Target's annual Deal Days sale overlaps directly with Amazon Prime Day on October 13 and 14, and it marks the beginning of Target's holiday shopping season, the retailer said in a press release. The sale will feature online discounts on hundreds of thousands of items, more than double the number of deals last year. The vast majority of deals will be available with contactless Drive Up or Order Pickup if you want to pick up your order that day, and many of them will be eligible for same-day delivery as well--no membership required.Early deals are starting to go live at Target, just as they have at Amazon, though the pickings are currently slim. The best deals, according to Target, will only be available to Target Circle members, the retailer's free loyalty program, so you may want to sign up for that before Target Deal Days starts. Go to Target Newegg Fantastech Sale October 13 Newegg's Fantastech sale is coming back this year to compete with Amazon Prime Day and offer steep discounts on tech and electronics. A countdown is live on Newegg's website for the sale, which begins October 13 at midnight PT / 3 AM ET. The sale page doesn't say how long the sale will last, but it'll likely run through October 14 to span a full 48 hours as it has in the past. As with other sales on this list, no membership is required to shop the Fantastech sale. If you're a PC gamer, you'll definitely want to check this one out, as Newegg tends to offer some of the best deals on graphics cards, SSDs, gaming desks, ergonomic chairs, and more. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is adding a useful ping system to all of its multiplayer modes. Warzone already had the ping system, but this will be the first time it has appeared in regular Call of Duty multiplayer."For the first time in Black Ops Multiplayer, we’re adding a locational Ping system as a feature across all MP modes, allowing you to ping objectives, loot, locations, and enemies for your teammates during a match." Treyarch wrote on its official site. "From Team Deathmatch to Fireteam: Dirty Bomb, you can use the Ping system to communicate non-verbally with your teammates for increased coordination."Ping systems have become increasingly popular after Respawn brought it to Apex Legends. It lets players communicate with button presses instead of voice chat. Call of Duty: Warzone and Fortnite added it after Respawn received praise for the feature.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity borrows several elements from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and the prequel game doesn't stop at just its characters or art style. The Breath of the Wild map has made the jump to the new game, and some of the attacks at your disposal will look very familiar.Showcased during a Nintendo Treehouse Live gameplay presentation on October 7, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity includes a rune system that uses multiple abilities directly lifted from Breath of the Wild. They include a stasis move for freezing targets in midair and the ability to summon blocks to redirect enemies or deal massive damage. Zelda herself makes heavy use of the runes for her combat style.Other playable characters featured in the gameplay footage include Urbosa, who is playable for the first time ever, as well as Impa. While Urbosa makes heavy use of lightning attacks and can even recharge her weapons after a perfect combo, Impa uses ninja-like abilities and can summon a powerful frog.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

When The Social Network came out 10 years ago, it's safe to say that everything about the concept seemed ridiculous. A decade ago, Facebook was still considered just another trivial platform for sharing pictures of your pets and complaining about teachers with fellow students--even the name 'Mark Zuckerberg' felt mostly unfamiliar. So predictably, when the first trailers dropped--featuring a slowed down, children's choir cover of the song "Creep" by Radiohead--there was no small amount of eye rolling going on.But boy, were we all in for a surprise. The Social Network wound up dark-horsing its way to a handful of Academy Awards wins and nominations and a dedicated fanbase, thanks largely to both the writer/director team of Aaron Sorkin and David Fincher and the stellar performances by leads Jesse Eisenberg and Andrew Garfield who took on the roles of Zuckerberg and ex-best friend Eduardo Saverin respectively.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Jurassic World: Dominion has had a production shutdown for at least two weeks after multiple people involved have tested positive for coronavirus. This setback comes after the recently reported setback that the movie has been bumped from a June 2021 release date to a June 2022 release date. Filmmaker Colin Trevorrow posted on Twitter about "a few positive coronavirus tests" on Jurassic World: Dominion on Wednesday.Woke up to the news we had a few positive Coronavirus tests on Jurassic World: Dominion. All tested negative shortly after, but due to our safety protocols we’re going to pause for two weeks. Back soon. pic.twitter.com/DxuqX9UdgX — Colin Trevorrow (@colintrevorrow) October 7, 2020According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dominion has "about three weeks left on production," which might not sound like a lot--but this is not the first time Dominion has seen delays, injuries, and other medical issues. Despite the film's UK set spending over $5 million on making it safe during COVID-19, actors have proudly posted pictures of their bruises doing their own stunts on a controlled, careful set.Still, no matter what precautions are taken, it doesn't change the fact that production during the pandemic comes with obvious risks. The Batman also recently had its COVID cases and delays. The new Dune movie also got bumped from December to October 2021--although in that case, COVID was not explicitly named as a factor.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

With PlayStation 5's launch about a month away, you might expect to have a firmer grasp on what the console is all about by now. Yes, you'll be able to play most PS4 games on it, and you can expect Sony's strong first-party lineup to be available in the coming years. We know how to take it apart, install an extra SSD, and switch from horizontal to vertical orientation. Oh, and it's got Bugsnax. But there are a ton of questions that still remain, including some critical ones that are made all the weirder when you consider that you may have already spent money on a PS5 preorder. There's the immediately obvious stuff: What the heck does the PS5's UI look like? Is this a carryover of the PS4's menu setup? Will I finally be able to pin things so that Rez Infinite is only ever a button press or two away? Do PS4 themes carry over--or are themes even available on PS5?For something so core to the experience of using a console, it's strange to not have even seen a single screenshot of the menus. Why is Sony being so cagey? I'm personally eager to get a peek because I find it a real thrill to behold a next-gen console interface for the first time (the lack of an overhaul on the Xbox side is a little disappointing to me for this reason). But this isn't the sort of thing that's necessarily going to play a huge role in deciding whether or not to preorder a PS5.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Super Nintendo World, the new theme park section from Nintendo and Universal Studios, is opening at Universal Studios Japan in Osaka in Spring 2021. Nintendo made the announcement on Twitter while adding that a new Mario cafe and store would be coming to Universal Studios Japan on October 16.#SUPERNINTENDOWORLD featuring attractions based on iconic Nintendo games and characters is coming to Universal Studios Japan ( @USJ_Official ) in Early 2021! pic.twitter.com/HhTEStUGAq — Nintendo of America (@NintendoAmerica) October 7, 2020While theme parks in California are still shut down, Universal Studios Japan reopened back in June after the country's state of emergency was lifted. The park requires that guests wear masks and have their temperature taken when entering. Universal Studios Japan's version of Super Nintendo Land was intended to launch alongside the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, but the opening has been delayed due to the pandemic. We got an early glimpse of the park back in May when aerial shots were shared on Instagram. We could see Peach's castle, various warp pipes and blocks, and even a Yoshi ride similar to Fantasy Land where park-goers take the green dinosaur for a spin. No other rides, besides the previously confirmed Yoshi and Mario Kart rides, have been announced.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

The recent announcement that another two of this year's big movies--Dune and No Time To Die--were moving to 2021 might not have been surprising, but it did feel like the final confirmation that 2020 was dead in terms of blockbuster entertainment. At the time of writing, Pixar's Soul and DC's Wonder Woman 1984 are still set for November and December releases, but there's every chance that they will move into 2021 as well. The impact of almost every major movie scheduled since March being delayed has been huge. With very few films left to show for many months, Cineworld, the world's second-biggest theater chain and the owners of Regal Theaters in the US, has decided to temporarily shut all its US and UK sites. AMC, the world's biggest chain, is staying open for now, but the titles it will be screening over the winter are a lot lower in profile than we'd expect in any normal year. When the first few movies were delayed back in March, there was every expectation that we'd still see them in 2020. No Time To Die and A Quiet Place: Part II shifted from the spring to the fall; at that stage only F9: The Fast Saga was moved all the way into 2021, a decision which seemed dramatic at the time. And while a few other films also jumped back an entire year (Jungle Cruise, Halloween Kills), the predominant pattern initially was spring and early summer movies moving by a few months. Black Widow, Candyman, The New Mutants, Soul, and Wonder Woman 1984 were all delayed, but stayed on course for 2020.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

It's National Spooky Month, and you know what that means. It's time to watch all manner of movies spooky, scary, and Halloween themed. This year, Adam Sandler delivers the latest in his library of Netflix movies, Hubie Halloween. Hubie Dubois is the town snitch, hated by everyone but Julie Bowen, and he's about to save Halloween.Hubie Halloween hits Netflix today and features Sandler himself, frequent co-star Kevin James, and Julie Bowen in starring roles, and too many cameos to name along the way. Critics are split on the movie, with the Rotten Tomatoes critics' score hovering around 60% fresh. After the insanity that was Uncut Gems, we can't be sure anymore what to expect from Sandler.Hubie Halloween (2020)Directed By: Steven BrillWritten By: Tim Herlihy, Adam SandlerStarring: Adam Sandler, Julie Bowen, Kevin James, Ray Liotta, Steve Buschemi, and more.Release Date: October 7, 2020New York Post - 3/4"Sandler has had a rough go with critics, often for good reason. Scanning his Rotten Tomatoes page is like peaking at the gradebook for a remedial math class: 12 percent, 27 percent, 9 percent. But “Hubie Halloween” proves that the problem isn’t that he’s starring in stupid movies; it’s that he’s not starring in enough of the right stupid movies." - Johnny Oleksinski [Full Review]Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

The war over whether or not Disneyland should reopen rages on. After Disney announced it was laying off 28,000 employees, partially blaming California's refusal to allow theme parks to reopen, the state has yet to budge. In fact, California governor Gavin Newsom hinted that it may be some time before theme parks are allowed to reopen in California.Speaking to the media, per The Hollywood Reporter, Newsom said, "We don't anticipate in the immediate term any of these larger parks opening until we see more stability in terms of the data. We feel there's no hurry to put out guidelines, and we continue to work with the industry."Newsom's comments come after Disney chairman Bob Iger resigned from the state's economic task force. However, according to the governor, "It didn't come as a surprise to me at all. There are disagreements about opening a major theme park."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Hey there, my name is Max Blumenthal, aka RinHara5aki. If you haven't heard of me, I'm an American The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild player that has spent over 2300 hours battling in Hyrule. Gold Lynels are my favorite sparring buddy, and I've spent a whole lot of time making combat videos and pioneering several BotW techniques. The Bow Spin, for example, is one of my most notable. With that background, you can imagine that when a game comes along that everyone touts as a "Breath of the Wild clone," my interest immediately piqued. Naturally, I had to see what it was like for myself.Since its first reveal, Genshin Impact got both a lot of attention and flak for its BotW-like appearance and gameplay, making people question its originality. They would ask: "Why would I play this game if it's just a 'lesser' version of BotW?" After playing the game for 50+ hours, I can confirm that, yes, it does have similarities to BotW, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't play it--there's a lot of interesting things going on, which I'll go over. To make this easier to digest, I'll be splitting this comparison into three main sections of analysis: exploration, combat, and my overall thoughts. And be sure to watch the video version of this feature in the player below for a more visual look at what I mean.ExplorationExploration is where I feel Genshin Impact is the most similar to Breath of the Wild. It's also what was most often shown in trailers leading up to the game's release, making people angry to the point of destroying PS4s in protest of its development. Genshin Impact's similarities to BotW's navigation techniques are blatant--the gliding mechanics are pretty much the same, and both games have options to climb or jump up most surfaces, jump off walls, attack while falling, use stamina to sprint, and much more.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
