This week on Wrestle Buddies, GameSpot's professional wrestling podcast, Chris E. Hayner and Mat Elfring are spending their time in the past, a time when wrestling was much sillier and arguably so much greater. After all, this was a time when wrestlers appeared in character on late night talk shows. What's not to love?First, we jump in the time machine and go back to 1990 to remember the Ultimate Warrior's appearance on The Arsenio Hall Show. Warrior was there to promote his Wrestlemania VI match with Hulk Hogan, though if you've watched the segment you'd think he was selling the idea of grunting, flexing, and taking off his shirt as a lifestyle. Throughout the interview, Arsenio looks caught somewhere between terrified and genuinely amused. After breaking down the appearance--and Warrior's nonsensical answers--we understand why. Then, it's time to dig into another of WWE's non-wrestling business ventures. This time, we head to Canada for a visit to WWE Niagara Falls, the finest wrestling-related tourist trap north of the border. WWE Niagara Falls was essentially a wrestling merchandise store with a theme park ride on the roof. Nobody really knows why, but you'll be shocked to find out this place lasted nearly a decade before it finally closed.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Ghost of Tsushima might let you pet the foxes, but it hasn't let you pet the dogs yet. In fact, until now, players have had to kill the dogs when they attacked, as they were, exclusively, very bad dogs. That's all set to change in Update 1.1, the huge update that's also adding co-op--soon you'll be able to befriend the dogs.In the game's New Game+ mode, which will be added on October 16, you'll be able to equip the Charm of Canine Recruitment. This allows you to walk up to enemy dogs and give them a good pet, which will make them change sides and attack your enemies.Just be aware that the dogs are still likely to die in the ensuing scuffle, unless you're a very good samurai. You can see the charm in action below. Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Baldur's Gate 3 is out now in Early Access, and it's already doing very well. Players are enjoying digging into the game's huge map and ticking off its many quests, but there's one that most players will definitely miss--because it's hidden in the opening user agreement. As reported by PC Gamer, if you read through the full EULA, you'll encounter a bit of text asking you to make a submission to Larian for entry into the "Guild of Great Genius," an exclusive club."Upon accepting this Pact, you take on an additional quest to submit to Larian one (1) recording of a chant, song, text, poem or interpretive dance performed by you and extolling your interest in the Forgotten Realms," the EULA reads.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Many PC enthusiasts are still jockeying to obtain Nvidia's 30-series cards--particularly the RTX 3080 and 3090--amid a shortage related to high demand and the ongoing coronavirus crisis, even swallowing high prices at secondhand retailers like eBay to get their hands on one. Now, a partner of GPU manufacturer MSI was caught scalping the company's own cards on eBay, and customers aren't happy about it.According to a Reddit post that called out its behavior, the subsidiary in question is called Starlit Partner, and it was only authorized to carry and sell excess inventory and refurbished items. MSI responded, saying that an error caused Starlit Partner to have access to new GPUs like the RTX 3080, which it sold for $1359, which is $600 above the MSRP of $759.Regarding Starlit Partner/eBay: pic.twitter.com/QqRDBNRdVa — MSI Gaming USA (@msiUSA) October 7, 2020As the above tweet reveals, MSI has ordered Starlit Partner to reach out to the customers affected and offer them full or partial refunds for the $600 difference. Some 3090s were also sold by Starlit Partner for inflated prices as well. For those who are determined to pay MSRP for a 3080 or 3090, you might end up waiting a while: the shortage isn't going to abate until at least 2021 according to Nvidia. Nvidia has repeatedly apologized for the supply shortages. Info from Gamespot.com

If you enjoy hunting for platinum Trophies on your PS4, you know how frustrating it can be when you don't know how far you are from slaying 10,000 zombies, or collecting the 100 widgets you need for the last trophy. Now, a French PlayStation Blog post seems to confirm that the PS5 will have in-depth trophy tracking--though the language has since been removed from the post.According to the French PlayStation blog post on the new Trophy system, you can track the trophy progress on the PS5https://t.co/b2EM6UtSt3 pic.twitter.com/HGt1EAMsz5 — Nibel (@Nibellion) October 7, 2020If you aren't familiar, this trophy-tracking would presumably work similarly to the enhanced achievement tracking that came to the Xbox One back in 2017. That update added a new menu that allows players to easily see how far they are from completing any given achievement in a game, as well as the relative rarity of each one.Obviously, this feature isn't quite confirmed yet, but given the fact that it was leaked by an official PlayStation source, it's likely to happen. Other new features confirmed by Sony for the PS5 include haptic feedback and adaptive triggers in the new DualSense controller and a solid-state drive right out of the gate. We've reached out to Sony for details on this new trophy-tracking feature.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

On the eve of AMD revealing its next-generation Zen 3 CPUs, Intel has officially announced its new desktop CPUs that will be coming to market in early 2021.The 11th generation chips, dubbed Rocket Lake, aren't being revealed in detail just yet, with Intel saying more specifications on the new CPUs will be coming soon. In the announcement the company does, however, point to its success with its current generation of CPUs, despite still being built on a 14nm process for desktop chips. It's unclear if Intel is finally moving to 10nm for desktop with Rocket Lake and what this might entail for the company's single-core performance dominance, but the announcement does confirm that the new CPUs will finally add support for PCIe 4.0. This means you'll be able to run new PCIe 4.0 expansion cards and SSDs on Intel boards soon, after AMD added support for it with its current generation Ryzen 3000 CPUs.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Netflix has rolled out a new "Worth the Wait" section, a tab that gives members a first look at titles coming to the streaming service in the next 15 to 365 days. The feature is meant to offer a more comprehensive long-view on titles that are eye-catching but still quite a way from release. It's also likely a move by Netflix to encourage subscribers to keep paying for a monthly membership even if their queue is bone dry at the moment.Photo: NetflixNote that the new section is only, for now, accessible on TV. It does not appear on iPads, iOS, Android, or desktop versions of Netflix. When using Netflix on your TV, the "Worth the Wait" section is located under the "New and Popular" tab. Variety is reporting that Netflix plans to test the feature on the web "later this year."Like any streaming service, Netflix has had so many comings and goings--announcements and cancelations--of its shows that it's hard to even know what you should scan a "Worth the Wait" section for. So far, we have clocked a total of 23 shows Netflix has canceled this year. But cancelations can also mean pretty much anything: Fan favorite animated series Tuca & Bertie was canceled by Netflix in 2019, but earlier this year was scooped up by Adult Swim.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

A new blog post from Riot has revealed more details about the changes coming to Valorant in its upcoming season. Act 3, which arrives on October 13, will introduce a snowy new map to the game, Icebox, as well as a fresh battle pass. However, the Act's new Agent has been delayed until the end of the month.Icebox will bring some much-needed diversity to Valorant's current map rotation, bringing the number to five total. While the map will be playable in unrated play on October 13, it won't be available for competitive matches until October 27. Earlier this week, a video released by the developer explained the wide-ranging shifts that the patch will bring to the game's competitive modes, which include tightening the ranked queue disparity from 6 tiers to 3 tiers, as well as giving players the option to select their preferred server.Act 3 also includes a variety of new cosmetic items, including a few new gun buddies, the weapon skin Singularity, and plenty of player cards. While we don't know much about Valorant's new Agent yet, the teases seem to hint at a fox-themed character, suggesting a stealthy playstyle reminiscent of Jett and Omen.Info from Gamespot.com

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is gearing up for launch next month with two beta weekends across all of its launch platforms. If you're planning on getting some multiplayer in on PC you'll have to wait until next weekend, but in the meantime, you can check out Cold War's PC requirements to make sure you're prepared. It's unlikely that you'll be hard-pressed by the requirements too, which list generations-old processors and graphics cards as recommended, and even older ones for the minimum requirements. Nvidia's GTX 970 was one of the most popular GPUs years ago, while Intel's Haswell CPUs are hardly new in the current Comet Lake age. What you will need is a decent amount of hard drive space, which shouldn't be surprising if you've been keeping up with recent Call of Duty releases. For the beta alone you'll need 45GB of space to play, which might be a bit more than you expected. Still, it's a way off from the 250GB that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has ballooned to on PC.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

October is barely underway, but the holiday season is well within view: Amazon has nonchalantly posted--and later removed--a new listing for a Lord of the Rings gift set of the full Peter Jackson trilogy in 4K UHD and digital available for $140. The set is currently up for pre-order but does not yet have a release date. There was also a standard 4K set available for $90. Both sets contain both the extended and theatrical cuts of The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and The Return of the King. The links are gone now, but they may reappear on Amazon Prime Day, which takes place on October 13. Sean Astin, who played Samwise Gamgee in LOTR announced the release of the three films along with all The Hobbit movies in a recent video. As is usually the case with Amazon pre-orders, if you're at all interested it would be wise to pre-order sooner rather than later as pre-orders automatically get locked into whatever the lowest price before release might wind up as. Either set up on Amazon currently would be ideal for fans who have been holding out for the ultimate version. However, you'll more than likely have to wait until next week for them to go live again, but we'll keep you updated. Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Apex Legends' latest update made many changes to the game, including adjusting the cooldown on Pathfinder's tactical ability and adding cross-play. However, one change in particular has resulted in a lot of controversy: Respawn's decision to adjust Wraith's iconic Naruto run to a more standard run animation."This patch, we're introducing a new set of sprint animations for Wraith," the patch notes read in part. "These are much more upright and expose a larger area of her body to gunfire. Now we know her old sprint was iconic and we hate to see it go as well, but we believe this is the best way by far of bringing her in line without having to hit her abilities again. Depending on what we see after these animations go live, we may even be able to put some power back into her abilities (no promises though)."This shift was designed to bring Wraith's pick-rate down to acceptable levels without further nerfing her Legend abilities. However, some fans are quite upset about the change. One Redditor suggests just making Wraith taller rather than adjusting the animation. A particularly popular post sees Wraith Naruto-running around Apex's shooting range in third-person as a tribute. Another compares the changed animation to a power-walking competitor.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
