Over the summer, star Milla Jovovich (Resident Evil) revealed that she and husband Anderson are both "huge" fans of the Capcom series, and that while her character Artemis isn't canon, she is meant to be a "grounded, relatable real-world character who is fresh to the world of Monster Hunter to help create a way into the game's world and lore for newcomers." Anderson has also mentioned that Jovovich's character uses the same weapons and armor that his wife uses in the game.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

With Sony providing a comprehensive breakdown of the PlayStation 5 architecture, we finally have some answers to question Mark Cerny left lingering all the way back during GDC in March. Top of the list has been how Sony is approaching expandable storage, which we now know will support a wide range of consumer SSDs.Earlier this year Mark Cerny confirmed that Sony would allow PS5 players to expand upon the internal SSD storage using off-the-shelf NVMe SSDs, a vastly different approach to Microsoft who have instead partnered with SSD manufacturers to create proprietary SSD expansion cards.Sony's approach allows for more flexibility in how you expand your PS5 storage but is constrained by a list that the company approves beforehand. That's to ensure that the SSD you purchase matches the minimum 5.5 GB/s bandwidth, only afforded by brand-new PCIe 4.0 SSDs that companies like Samsung and Western Digital have started producing.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Riot has released a trailer showing off the new Valorant agent Skye, a day after it revealed more information about Act 3, including news of the upcoming agent's delay. The new agent is named Skye, an Initiator-class from Australia. Based on the trailer and an early leak of her kit, she seems to be a healer who utilizes a number of animal-themed "trinkets" to track and control her enemies on the battlefield. She will be available on October 27 alongside patch 1.11.We haven't had an official look at Skye's kit yet, but a leak from a data miner credited as MrJack025 on Reddit provides more context for some of the abilities we see in the official agent trailer from Riot. If this is anything like the last few agent reveals, we expect an official post on the Riot blog sometime in the next day or two.According to the leak, Skye's abilities include Regrowth, Trailblazer, and Guiding Light. Her ultimate is called Seekers. The in-game text from the leak appears as follows, but please be aware that this is subject to change anytime between now and Skye's official release:Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Jumping around Delfino Plaza as Mario is one of the best parts of Super Mario Sunshine, and now you can explore the familiar locale on a skateboard. One player has recreated the best hub world in gaming as a skate park in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2.Redditor and Super Mario Sunshine fan Gunderstank16 used the remake's park creator to replicate the layout of Delfino Plaza. It doesn't have the graphical charm of the original, but there are railings placed all around to help get over waterways and through tunnels. It took them four days to finish the park and they have plans to work on more Mario-themed maps if this one garners enough interest from skaters. Delfino Plaza has been remade in other level creators, too--they include a take on the sunny locale in Halo's map editor that a fan recreated a few years ago.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

What, exactly, is going on with the next Spider-Man movie? If the Marvel Cinematic Universe wants fans to believe the next film will dive heavily into the multiverse, then Marvel Studios is doing a great job.We learned this week that Jamie Foxx is believed to be playing the villainous Electro in the movie, a role he originally played in 2014's The Amazing Spider-Man 2. That, combined with the fact that JK Simmons appeared in Spider-Man Far From Home as J. Jonah Jameson--a character he played in the original Spidey trilogy--certainly points to a mashup of Spider-Man franchises. Now, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Benedict Cumberbatch is set to reprise his role as Doctor Strange in the film, becoming a mentor for Spider-Man (Tom Holland). What does that mean for a movie that brings together the various Spider-Man universes? Well, the next Doctor Strange film is called Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. What's more, that movie will be tied to Disney+'s WandaVision, which certainly looks to be set in some form of an alternate reality.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Fall Guys' Season 2 brought a fantastic change to the game show battle royale. Players can now choose a playlist that removes all team games from the mini game rotation. Say goodbye to Egg Scramble and Team Tail Tag."And you say we never do anything for you," said Fall Guys game designer Joe Walsh in a comment on the Fall Guys subreddit. The playlist is called 'Gauntlet Showdown' while the regular playlist is now called 'Main Show.' The new playlist is only available for a limited-time so the studio can track how many players choose each option."Right now we need to keep an eye on things like matchmaking times, player reception, etc. so we're doing it as a bit of a time limited experiment to see what happens," Walsh wrote. "Totally possible for it to become permanent down the line!"Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Among Us, the surprise hit two years in the making, could see some changes in the near future. InnerSloth is considering making dead players guardian angels who have the ability to save living players, similar to how the doctor role works in Mafia. The Washington-based studio wants to give players more to do after they die, citing players that leave right after dying because it's "boring" to play as a ghost. Ghosts, players who are killed by impostors or getting voted off the ship, can still complete tasks after death. They can't participate in discussions or interact with anything else in the game and often don't do much until the match ends."[Balancing a change like that] is the hardest part," said InnerSloth programmer Forest Willard on Twitch's Weekly Gaming Show as first reported by Inverse. "We've thought of a lot about [making ghosts into] Guardian Angels and stuff like that, but it's a difficult thing to pull off but we're definitely thinking about those sort of things."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Though its announcement trailer might not have made it completely obvious, it turns out Bugsnax is something of a narrative puzzle game. As you encounter grumpuses, the Muppet-like characters inhabiting the game's world, you'll pick up tasks to complete from each. Those tasks usually involve catching the titular bugsnax, creatures that are basically food with legs, by figuring out their behaviors and tricking them into traps.Though the game that Bugsnax has become is mostly about catching bugsnax and using them to feed grumpuses, that wasn't always the case. Developer Young Horses has been working on the game for about six years, and president Philip Tibitoski said in an interview with GameSpot that a whole lot of gameplay ideas have come and gone during that time. Some of them sound funny, some interesting, and some a little disturbing."Initially, there were always grumpuses and there were always bugsnax and you were always foraging for them," Tibitoski said. "And over time the mechanics have changed a lot. We've gone the Pokemon Snap route of actually being on a track and riding a little cart and capturing bugsnax as you go, we've had bugsnax preparation mechanics, Cooking Mama-style thing, because some of the mechanics we were looking into had to do with, like, sticker-peeling. And then we were talking about peeling parts of bugsnax to prepare them to eat, which was horrifying. And after a while we realized it didn't really fit even besides just the fact that it's multiple games' worth of mechanics."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

It followed the adventures of 17-year-old Mark Grayson, who is the son of the most powerful superhero on Earth, Omni-Man. Developer EA Motive Studios has confirmed that there are currently no plans to add more post-launch content to Star Wars: Squadrons on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.In an interview with UploadVR, creative director Ian Frazier said that the intention with Squadrons was never to create or turn the finished product into a live-service experience."Never say never, so to speak, but as far as our philosophy goes we’re not trying to treat the game as a live service," Frazier said. "We don't want to say, 'It's almost done!' and then dribble out more of it over time, which to be honest is how most games work these days. So we've tried to treat it in kind of an old-school approach saying, 'You've paid the $40, this is the game and it's entirely self-contained. We're not planning to add more content, this is the game, and we hope you understand the value proposition.'"Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

When I played Watch Dogs: Legion a few months back, I was keeping a keen eye on its depiction of a collective revolt against injustice, state-sanctioned violence, and technological exploitation. After all, those are the running themes that the game has been emphasizing in its presentation and early story threads, and they should be analyzed. I recently got another crack at the game to play all-new story missions, and it's turned into something a bit unexpected. In these new missions, I got to see story branches that dive into Clan Kelley, the organized crime ring that runs the streets of London in the wake of a hostile paramilitary takeover. It's not really a surprise that organized crime is in bed with corrupt authorities, but based on what I played, things turn more sinister and dark, in a way that's probably not great for the squeamish. As you reveal the truths of Clan Kelley and its leader Mary Kelley, you discover that she's been collecting people to force them into servitude, and, well, eventual victims of organ harvesting. Albion authorities (the PMC that now runs London) have been leveraging anti-immigrant sentiment to enforce racist policies and illegally round up vulnerable, marginalized people and detain them in refugee camps. It's all plainly stated in dialogue between your character and your AI assistant, as you're trying to track down a victim and DedSec affiliate named Angel Lopez. But the knife is twisted even deeper once you reveal this system provides a cover and an avenue for Kelley to kidnap and enslave these people. Yeah, it's straight up human trafficking.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

The full patch notes are outlined below. The meat of the patch is dedicated to bug fixes. One in particular centers on an issue found in the Fleet Battles tutorial mission where it would not complete if the player was destroyed at certain points during the operation.
