After a handful of delays, Baldur's Gate III finally launched in early access this week and quickly skyrocketed to the top of the best seller's list on Steam. Given that the game is still in development, players were quick to stumble across numerous bugs, some of which developer Larian Studios are squashing in a new patch.The first hotfix for Baldur's Gate III addresses four major crashes associated with entirely different in-game interactions, while also polishing up some other minor existing issues that players have reported. The studio mentions in the patch notes that players still experiencing performance issues should run the game using DirectX 11 instead of Vulkan, as some issues have been noted with the latter API.Larian Studios also thanks fans for the overwhelming support out of the gate and mentions that it is aware of several multiplayer issues currently. However, it incorporates that idea into an open-world framework, pushing the need to connect and explore its luscious setting.Coming to PC, iOS (and Apple Arcade), PS4, and to PS5 as a launch title on November 12, The Pathless has you guiding a nameless hunter across vast stretches of forest and within lost ruins to free ancient gods who have been corrupted. Developer Infinity Ward has released a small update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One that makes one big change: It nerfs the overpowered SP-R sniper rifle. Previously, the gun's "basically hitscan" nature allowed it to break armor with a single chest-shot and kill in a single headshot. Couple this with its high damage and mobility and the SP-R proved to be quite a threat at long-range. The new patch adjusts the sniper's ADS speed, flinch, and ammo and attachment attributes.In particular, the SP-R's flinch has been increased while its overall ADS speed has been decreased. The variable zoom scope attachment for the sniper has also had its ADS speed slightly reduced. The movie is sitting at 50% on Rotten Tomatoes, dropping 10 points from a day before, and overall reviews haven't been too kind. AMD has officially revealed its slate of Zen 3-powered desktop CPUs, skipping the 4000 series and jumping right into the new Ryzen 5000 series. The company revealed 4 new CPUs in total, boasting that the Ryzen 5900 is now the "world's best gaming CPU."The big difference with the new Zen 3 architecture is the increase in instructions per cycle, letting CPUs with the same core frequencies and core counts perform a lot better. Compared to Zen 2, which powers the current Ryzen 3000 series, Zen 3 achieves 19% more IPC, converting to an average of nearly 26% more performance in gaming alone when moving to the Ryzen 5000 series.The jump between generations alone is massive, but it's Intel's gaming crown that AMD really aimed for during the presentation. The flagship of the Ryzen 5000 series, the Ryzen 3950X, doesn’t match the Intel Core i9-10900K in sheer single-core speed (4.9Ghz vs. Intel's peak of 5.3GHz), but AMD's own benchmarks in a suite of games show the Ryzen inching ahead in most scenarios where the CPU is the bottleneck.
