Razer had plenty of new products to announce during its RazerCon 2020 virtual press conference, including a new PC gaming case, new headphones, and a new microphone, but the company also revealed something a bit unexpected: a plush toy. The Sneki Snek plush is based on Razer's cartoon mascot, and you'll be helping to save trees if you buy one.Razer partnered with Conservation International when creating the Sneki Snek plush, and it is donating funds to save 10 trees for every plush sold. Its goal is to save 100,000 trees through the campaign, which would mean selling 10,000 Sneki Snek plushes. They're available to purchase now for $30, and as of this writing, Razer has already sold enough to save over 6,000.Trees are being saved in a variety of countries around the world, including Colombia, Peru, Brazil, the Philippines, Fiji, Madagascar, and China. Now that the episode that was originally slated to be the Season 10 finale of The Walking Dead has aired, there's one question on everyone's mind: What's going to happen when Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) finally meet again? With the next season of the AMC series being the last, you might think that would be the perfect time for it to happen. However, it sounds entirely possible we'll see that showdown before then. When asked what their meeting would be like during The Walking Dead's New York Comic Con 2020 panel, showrunner Angela Kang simply said, "You'll see in the episodes to come." However, she also revealed that the upcoming Season 10 bonus episodes, which will debut early in 2021, will feature a Maggie-centric story."We're really going to see an episode with Maggie when she comes back, since we just got to see her for a little bit in the finale that just aired," Kang teased. However, she was also careful to note how everyone on the NYCC panel, including Morgan, would figure into the bonus episodes. It's hard to imagine a more meaningful story for Negan, at this point, than having to face Maggie and her child, knowing that he brutally murdered her husband Glenn.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

The second Walking Dead companion series, World Beyond, just debuted on October 4, and already, there is a huge connection to the mainline AMC series and an even bigger connection to the show's former main protagonist Rick Grimes. During a panel at New York Comic-Con 2020, we got to learn a bit about how Grimes is connected to the newest Walking Dead series.During Season 9 of The Walking Dead--spoilers--Grimes seemingly sacrificed himself but ended up living, unbeknownst to his friends. He was picked up by a black helicopter with an insignia on it. Early on in the first episode of World Beyond, a black helicopter with that same insignia is seen and we learn it's the symbol of the Alliance of the Three, also known as the Civic Republic."The show obviously serves as an introduction to the organization--civilizations--that Rick has gotten somehow tied up in, in some way," explained Walking Dead chief creative officer Scott Gimple. "Do we need to worry about him? Rick Grimes kind of takes care of himself. He's pretty good at that sort of thing but it does look like his situation is going to be challenged in some pronounced way."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

The big concern coming out of the Season 5 finale of Fear the Walking Dead, for better or worse, was whether or not Morgan (Lennie James) has survived being shot and left to be chomped on by walkers. During the show's San Diego Comic-Con panel, a new trailer hinted that something is very wrong with the character and he seemed to be, at the very least, on death's door. So, is Morgan a walker now?It sounds like that is not the case. During the show's panel at New York Comic Con, co-showrunner Andrew Chambliss hinted about what Morgan's condition could mean as the season progresses."Something's definitely going on with Morgan and something that we haven't quite seen before in The Walking Dead universe, and it is going to push Morgan to new places and make him really question everything he's ever been about and kind of who he wants to be going forward," he said. "If he gets to go forward."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Given that Ready Player Two, the highly-anticipated sequel to author Ernest Cline's 2011 science-fiction novel Ready Player One is due for release on November 24, it's pretty remarkable that plot details have only now come out. At the virtual New York Comic-Con, Cline revealed to host Wil Wheaton (Star Trek) that the new book picks up just days after Ready Player One ends. For those who might need a bit of a refresher, Ready Player One is a nostalgia-soaked story almost entirely submerged in 1980s nerd culture about a boy named Wade Watts who lives in a dystopian future where everyone relies on a massive virtual-reality game called The Oasis for the most basic necessities. By the time the novel ends, Watts becomes the rightful owner in full control of The Oasis--although what that means and what he intends to do with the game was left unresolved--until now. (You can also catch up with the story with Steven Spielberg's hit 2018 film adaptation now available on Prime Video.)According to a synopsis publisher Penguin Random House has issued on a slide, Watts stumbles upon "a new riddle, and a new quest--a last Easter egg… hinting at a mysterious prize." An "unexpected, impossibly powerful, and dangerous new rival awaits, one who'll kill millions to get what he wants." You can read the brief, though complete, text released below.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Sony and some third-party developers are offering free upgrades from the PS4 to PS5 versions of games, but without a snazzy branded feature like Xbox's Smart Delivery. It hasn't been entirely clear how players will be able to claim these upgrades, but Sony addressed it with detailed instructions in advance of the console launch next month. It won't be quite as simple as it is on the Xbox systems, but you shouldn't have too much trouble getting the correct version of your game on the PS5.The instructions, part of a PS5 support page, come in two varieties based on whether you're upgrading a disc or digital game. To upgrade a disc game you'll need the higher-priced PS5 that includes a disc drive, for obvious reasons. Digital games can be upgraded on either version of PS5.The instructions look fairly straightforward. For a disc version, just make sure you're signed in on your PS5 console, insert the game disc, and then select to upgrade on the game hub. That will download the PS5 version, which will be associated with that game disc. From then on you can play the PS5 version as long as the PS4 disc is in the drive. For a digital game, just find the game in the PlayStation Store or game hub and select upgrade. If you don't do this, you'll get the PS4 version.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

The PS5 supports backwards compatibility with the PS4, and Sony says the vast majority of PS4 games will be playable on the new system. However, there are a select few games that will not be compatible, and we now know exactly what they are.A support page on the official PlayStation website lists 10 games that will not be playable on PS5. The list includes some VR content, and it doesn't feature any enormous titles. The games you'll likely want to keep playing when you get your PS5 will still work. Joe's Diner fans are in for a rude awakening, though. We hate to be the ones to break this news, but you will have to keep your PS4 available in order to keep playing it.PS5-Incompatible PS4 GamesDWVRAfro Samurai 2: Revenge of Kuma - Volume OneTT Isle of Man – Ride on the Edge 2Just Deal With It!Shadow Complex RemasteredRobinson: The JourneyWe SingHitman Go: Definitive EditionShadwenJoe's DinerAll you need to do to play the game on the PS5 is put it into the disc drive and potentially download an update. If it's a digital game, Sony says you'll be able to use WiFi data transfer, but it didn't specify how this will work. Should there be a PS5 upgrade available, Sony also detailed that process. Even some PS4 games will see better performance via Game Boost without a PS5 upgrade.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

The PS5 launches around the world in a little over month, and while there are still many lingering questions about how the system works, Sony has now shared some more details about PS5's backwards compatibility. As with Xbox Series X, it appears some previous-gen games will get a performance boost when played on PS5 thanks to the console's Game Boost feature. As detailed on the PlayStation support website, Game Boost allows certain PS4 titles to "run with a higher or smoother frame rate" when played on a PS5. However, Sony notes that this will only apply to "select" games; it appears the performance boost won't be applied across the board, as Xbox Series X does with Xbox One games.Although Sony did not yet specify what games are able to take advantage of Game Boost, the company shed a bit more light on how it will work in a PlayStation Blog post. "Some titles with unlocked frame rates or dynamic resolution up to 4K may see higher fidelity. Additionally, PS4 games will also take advantage of some of PS5's new UX features, but more to come on that later," the company wrote.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate has only improved over time. In addition to Xbox Live Gold and access to hundreds of Xbox One games, Game Pass Ultimate subscribers now have xCloud streaming bundled in and soon will have EA Play rolled into their membership. With the Xbox Series X and digital-only Series S releasing next month, Game Pass Ultimate will continue to be a huge part of Microsoft's business model. It's already a bargain at $15 per month, but Prime Day 2020 will likely bring deals on the service to make it even more enticing.Previous Prime Day Game Pass Ultimate dealsLast year, 3-month subscriptions to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate were discounted to $30, down from $45. While that was a pretty good deal, we actually think you'll find better deals this Prime Day.Throughout 2020, we've seen 3-month subscriptions discounted to $25 at major retailers multiple times. On another occasion, 6-month subscriptions were down to $40--a whopping $50 savings.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

The customer service experience is set to change at GameStop as the company enters a multi-year partnership with Microsoft. The deal enables the retailer to provide a "differentiated and personalized in-store customer experience" centered around more advanced tools through Microsoft assets like Dynamics 365, Surface notebooks, and Teams. These changes will make GameStop feel more like an Apple store or Best Buy, with store associates walking around with Surface devices in hand and gaining access to customer information through Microsoft's cloud-based platforms. Both Dynamics 365 and Teams aim to enhance GameStop's productivity and collaboration tools to smooth out back-end and in-store experiences. These platforms give associates more detailed information on product availability, customer preferences and purchase history, subscriptions and prices, and upcoming or ongoing promotions. This collaboration comes as GameStop announced payment plans for Microsoft's upcoming next-gen consoles, the Xbox Series S and Series X, earlier this week. The plans come in three different offerings--Installment, Layaway, and Rent-to-Own--and give customers plenty of time to pay the systems off. These payment plans are also available for the PlayStation 5.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Hulu has released the very first images from the upcoming animated series Marvel's MODOK, co-created by Jordan Blum (American Dad!, Community) and Patton Oswalt (AP Bio, Reno 911!). The photos, sent in a tweet embedded below, have been unveiled in anticipation of this evening's 5:30 PM PT/8:30 PM ET New York Comic-Con panel, which can be watched live here via YouTube.Your first look at #MODOKHulu has arrived! (@MarvelsMODOK) October 9, 2020The pair's take on Marvel's MODOK--that's "Mobile Organism Designed Only for Killing"--is a stop-motion series eschewing the supervillain's treacherous day job in favor of spotlighting his attempts to balance his home life with his evil organization, AIM. According to Entertainment Weekly, "When the show begins, we learn that MODOK has been a very neglectful husband of late. As MODOK flounders at work, [his wife] Jodie has found success through her mommy blog-turned-lifestyle brand. This disconnect forces them to re-evaluate their relationship." In other words, it sounds like many of the show's explosions and intensity--and laughs--in the series will come via navigating the complexity of relationships."We obviously love the character as this big villain who is always trying to take over the world and run his evil organization," said Blum. "His design by Jack Kirby is so absurd and monstrous that we thought, where does this guy go at night? Does he go home to a house and have all these mundane things he has to do? Does he have a family we never knew about? The more we discussed, the more it just kind of made us laugh and then we tried to figure out well, what would that family be? Who would marry MODOK and how hard would it be to be his son or to be a daughter in MODOK's image?"Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Valorant players are eager to get their hands on the new Agent, the Aussie Initiator Skye. But while she won't come to the game until October 27, Riot has released new information about Valorant's upcoming Act 3, which comes to PC on October 13.Most notably, this announcement confirms the leaked details of Skye's kit that were previously posted to Reddit. As her character trailer shows, she has a varied skill-set themed around her various animal guardians, including a hawk that doubles as a flash grenade, a tiger that explodes outward in a damaging blast, and a healing wave that can treat the wounds of allies, but not Skye herself. Her ultimate ability sends out three jellyfish-like seekers that automatically target nearby opponents and inflict visual interference termed "nearsighting" on a hit. Given that only one Agent can currently heal--Sage, who is generally considered a must-pick, even after several nerfs to her abilities--it's clear that Skye might have an outsized impact on the game's meta.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
