Los Angeles Comic-Con is off for 2020. Comikaze Entertainment announced Tuesday that the show is cancelled for this year, but set a date for 2021. The event was originally scheduled for December 11-13, 2020, but con-goers can now mark their calendars for September 24-26, 2021."Last week on Oct. 7, Gov. Newsom finally gave an update on reopening plans for theme parks, which most people thought would precede event and convention guidelines," Comikaze said in an official statement. "In his announcement, the Governor said he had decided not to provide reopening guidelines yet for theme parks, and by extension, events. Without guidelines, there is no way for LA County, the city, or event organizers like us to know if the plans and changes we made to be safe will be right, or enough. So with that new direction from the state, we are rescheduling."Comikaze says that all tickets purchased for the 2020 event are refundable, and any others will roll over to the 2021 event. The company also says that all talent booked for 2020 will appear at the 2021 show, including the just-announced appearances of Zachary Levi (Shazam!) and Tom Welling (Smallville). Con-goers who went in for the limited-edition Kevin Smith/Silent Bob Funko POP toy can also choose between picking it up at the warehouse, paying to have it shipped, or picking it up at Los Angeles Comic-Con in 2021.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Rock Band 4 the game, all of its DLC, and the previously released plastic instruments you might have already will work on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Developer Harmonix confirmed this in a blog post, stating that all of this will work on day one when the consoles release in November. Harmonix couched its statement with phrases and words like "we believe" and "should" because it cannot guarantee compatibility in all cases for all instruments.Electronic drum kits and their various adapters should work as well, Harmonix said. In terms of DLC songs, all of them will work on the PS5 and Xbox Series X. Additionally, save data carries forward, but only on the same console family. AMC Theaters is in danger of running out of cash by the end of the year, the company said in a new filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, causing its stock to drop by nearly 13% on Tuesday. The theater chain, which is the largest in the world, said on Tuesday that its "existing cash resources would be largely depleted by the end of 2020 or early 2021." The company says that it will require additional sources of money or increases in attendance levels to continue. This news follows just a week after Cineworld announced the temporary closure of all Regal theaters in the United States and the United Kingdom. AMC said in the SEC filing that "major movie releases that were previously scheduled to be released in the fourth quarter have either been rescheduled for 2021 or slated for direct to streaming in lieu of a theatrical release, leaving a reduced slate of movie releases for the remainder of the year," further exacerbating the chain's existing problem. The final straw for Regal seemed to be the delay of No Time To Die, the latest James Bond movie, to April 2021.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Amazon Prime Day is here, which normally would entail an avalanche of anime deals to talk about. Unfortunately, that's not really the case this year--there are far fewer than what we've seen in the past. In the meantime, if you've got cash in your wallet that you're looking to burn, we've rounded up the Prime Day anime deals that are available right now, as well as anime deals available today that you can find elsewhere, like Rightstuf's Optimus 2-Day Sale.Amazon Prime Day Anime DealsAlrighty, let's start with why y'all are here. It's been a while since we last heard anything from Ghost Story Games, the small team from BioShock's Ken Levine. A year ago, we learned from a job ad that the game is an immersive sim with FPS and RPG elements. Now, in another job ad (this time for a senior producer), we've gotten a little more insight into the under-wraps project. The studio, which is currently made up of fewer than 35 people, is still "working on a new immersive sci-fi game with RPG elements." They note that details have not yet been announced, but the game is "in later stages of production." The studio was first formed in 2017, so this first game has likely been in the works for some time now. The job ad also gives some insight into how their studio operates. "We are known for having genuine open communication with a flat structure," it says. "You're welcome to join any meeting, walk up to (or Slack) anyone and have your voice heard. Team-based decision making is important to us, regardless of your position--every opinion counts and matters!"The ad also suggests that watching Ken Levine's 2014 GDC talk for some insight into what they're trying to do with the game. During Amazon Prime Day 2020, there are plenty of sales you'll want to partake in, from deals for Nintendo Switch to smart TVs and board games. However, while we tend to highlight some of the very best deals for Prime Day, it's time to look at some of the most absurd things on sale.Across Amazon, Best Buy, Target, and other retailers, there are plenty of discounted items you probably didn't know existed until today or things on sale that should have been discontinued years ago. These are all items that will have you scratching your heads--right before you sincerely say to yourself, "I need this, right?" FIFA 17 for Xbox One $15 (was $30) I am not much of a FIFA player, but I know it has a tremendous global appeal. Every year, EA Sports pumps out another one of these games, and people around the world pick it up. Discounting a previous year's game is par for the course when the latest addition has been released (FIFA 21 came out October 6), but discounting a game from four years ago when the previous two years' games are just a few dollars more, non-Prime Day priced, is a bit silly. But hey, if you want to pick up a game way out of date, go nuts.Hurry up though, this hot, hot deal on an old, old game ends on Wednesday, October 14! See at Target Gifts for Men Dad Husband $30 (was $37) You may be a little confused about the title of this product, and that's because it was so long, it had to be cut down. This Amazon product is actually called "Gifts for Men Dad Husband, Survival Gear and Equipment 12 in 1, Christmas Stocking Stuffers, Fishing Hunting Birthday Gifts Ideas for Him Boyfriend Teen Boy, Cool Gadget, Camping Survival Kit." As a man dad husband myself, I enjoy many tools, all of which are located in my toolbox, But if I'm on the go, all I really need are a flathead and Phillips screwdrivers, pliers, wire cutters, and a hammer. However, Gifts for Men Dad Husband is really focused on the survivalist. It's about the man dad husband who wants to escape his rigorous day-to-day life by spending time getting back to nature forest woods, away from civilization city humanity. See at Amazon Hover-1 Raptor Hoverboard Buggy Attachment with LED Fog Blasters and Sound Effects $70 (was $100) Do you have an undying need for younger people to accept you, so you buy the coolest tech for teens, but you're incredibly uncoordinated? Don't worry, Hover-1 has something for you that will make all the kids yell, "That person in their 30s is the most swag-fleek!" The Raptor Hoverboard Buggy Attachment--a phrase no one should ever have to write--allows you to ride your hoverboard without the fear of falling off and breaking an arm. Plus, it has LED lights, fog blasters, and makes sound effects. Celebrate your Third Life Crisis in style! See at Best Buy The Floor is Lava! $13 (was $17) There are a few childhood games that can be played for the low price of $0: hide and seek, tag, heads-up 7-up, and the floor is lava. However, Endless Games has found a way to make the floor is lava into a thing you pay for. Instead of jumping from one piece of furniture to another, you jump on foam tiles. There's also action cards that tell you to do things, like "touch your toes." Just do yourselves a favor and play the game for free, then watch the game show of the same name on Netflix. See at Target Kidzone DIY Number 6V Kids Toy Electric Ride On Bumper Car $150 (was $400) Someone has taken a seat to help infants sit up straight and put some remotely-controlled wheels and fancy lights on it. While it comes in a wide array of colors, what the Kidzone Bumper Car doesn't want you to know is that electric ride-on full cars cost around $150 or are less. It just seems like this Bumper Car is mere seconds away from tipping over. And just as a side note, anyone else find it super-weird that the title of the toy highlights the fact you have to put the number on the car yourself? See at Walmart Mr. Sketch Chiseled Tip Marker $10 (was $13) There is just something wonderfully nostalgic about markers that very vaguely smell like fruit. And something that never pops up in most of our minds is the ability to relive the moments when it was ok to sniff the markers. What is really weird about these markers are some of the smells. Aside from the traditional ones like cherry and grape, there are some ones that are really bizarre: nacho cheese, smoky cinnamon rocket fuel (cinnamon alone is already a smell), rotten melon alien ooze, and licorice. Come on, black licorice is gross. See at Amazon RENPHO Leg Massager $66 (was $90) For many people, a nice, long massage is the best way to wind down after being on your feet all day. However, with the RENPHO Leg Massager, you get to combine that with cosplaying as Robocop on the lower half of your body. It uses air to inflate the bags wrapped around your legs, so it's probably also exceptionally loud. But hey, at least you're comfortable, you cybernetic cop with a -30 roll to stealth. See at Amazon 20 Two-Way Walkie Talkies $164 (was $215) There is no denying that walkie talkies are pretty cool. And of course, you're going to need two of them to talk to someone else. However, this Amazon Prime Day deal comes with 20, so you'll have to find 19 friends to hand these out to. Obviously, this pack is geared toward construction workers or other jobs where many people need to keep in constant contact with each other but can't use computers. It's just bizarre to see this promoted in one of the electronic sections. See at Amazon Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
