Pedro Pascal played the memorable character Oberyn Martell on HBO's hit fantasy show Game of Thrones, and now we've learned a little more about how it all began. David Benioff, who co-created Game of Thrones, told Variety that Pascal's audition for the show was far from ordinary (at least for the time).Benioff said Pascal auditioned through a video he filmed on his iPhone--and the quality of the video wasn't great. But in the end, it didn't matter much because his performance convinced Benioff to hire him."First of all, it was an iPhone selfie audition, which was unusual," Benioff said. "And this wasn't one of the new-fangled iPhones with the fancy cameras. It looked like sh**; it was shot vertical; the whole thing was very amateurish. Except for the performance, which was intense and believable and just right."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Included in the cross-play beta for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War this coming weekend is a brand-new mode called Fireteam, and Activision has now provided some details about it.A large-scale mode, Fireteam puts 10 teams of four squads onto the largest maps that Cold War has to offer. In the Dirty Bomb variant that will be featured in the beta, teams must collect and detonate bombs that destroy parts of the map to get the drop on the other teams. When bombs are detonated, it causes radiation to emerge on the map that makes it dangerous for everyone. "The longer a player hangs onto uranium, the longer radiation sickness sets in. This affects Perk benefits, movement, health regeneration, and ultimately, your Operator’s life," Activision says of the mode.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

There's an old truism in gaming circles that Nintendo is a toy company at its core. This is both praise and critique, expressing a sense of wonderment over the company's ability to tap into childlike playfulness and bafflement at some of its esoteric hardware decisions. Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit may be the purest recent expression of the "Nintendo as toy company" ethos. For one, it revolves almost entirely around an actual toy: a tiny camera-equipped go-kart that you race around your real-life house. But more broadly, it behaves the way the simplest toys do, by giving back only as much as the effort you put into creative play. That's because the core pillar of Mario Kart Live is making your own tracks. The game comes with four numbered gates that help define your track. These are made out of unfolding cardboard, like the natural evolution of Nintendo Labo. Once you've laid down your track and any real-life objects as hazards, you need to run through it once, pace-car style, before starting the race. Choosing the main Grand Prix mode populates your Augmented Reality (AR) track with four Koopaling opponents, and then you're off to the races.Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit screenshots provided by NintendoOnce you're actually in a race, it operates like any other Mario Kart game. You keep your eyes on the screen--watching your real-life kart is a surefire way to lose--and you see visual effects like Item Blocks and virtual hazards littering the track. And while the kart actually moves relatively slowly in its slowest setting, it actually looks reasonably fast on-screen with the camera set so low to the ground.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Coming 2 America, the upcoming sequel to the 1988 Eddie Murphy comedy Coming to America, has moved from a theatrical release to a streaming premiere with Amazon Studios, according to Variety. The deal has closed for a reported $125 million, and the movie is reportedly expected to debut December 18.It's the sort of surprise announcement that should start to come as no surprise from Amazon, who recently and suddenly sprang an October 23 release date for Borat 2 on the world. It's also one of many films that Paramount Pictures--the studio behind Coming 2 America--has sold to streaming services this year, including Aaron Sorkin's Trial of the Chicago 7 and the action-comedy Lovebirds, which both went to Netflix. Not much is known about the next outing for the Coming to America story, other than prior to Prince Akeem Joffer's (Murphy) arraignment as king of Zamunda, he discovers he has a son he never knew about in America--a Queens native named Lavelle. Alongside Murphy, Arsenio Hall (Black Dynamite, Blankman) will be reprising his role as Akeem's friend, Semmi. Tracy Morgan (30 Rock), Jay Pharoah (Saturday Night Live), and Garcelle Beauvais (Spider-Man: Homecoming) will be joining the cast.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

It's been tough tracking down a decent webcam these days. With the increase in remote work and the amount of people relying on video calls to visit with family and friends, the best name-brand webcams remain in high-demand and often out of stock. If a webcam has been on your wishlist for a while and you don't mind-lesser known brands, Amazon Prime Day is as good an opportunity as ever to grab one for a decent price.Below we've rounded up some of the best webcam deals during Amazon Prime Day this year, whether you need one for live streaming games, chatting with friends, work, and more. Check out our Amazon Prime Day deals hub for more as the sale continues today and tomorrow. Rofeer 1080P USB Webcam With Microphone $14 (was $26) Best budget optionThis is one of the cheapest webcams available on Amazon—discounted nearly 50% off for Prime Day—that doesn't sacrifice too many features for the price. You get 1080p, HD video quality, a built-in microphone with noise reduction, and it's compatible with a wide range of operating systems. It's USB-powered and doesn't require any drivers or software to install, making it easy for even the least tech-savvy person to set up. This is great to get for a family member who wants to video call with you, but probably won't be using a webcam for anything fancier than that. You also get what you pay for though. As one of the cheaper webcam options on Amazon, it may not be the highest quality or longest-lasting option. See at Amazon Vitade 960A 1080P Conferencing Webcam With Microphone and Ring Light $47 (was $70) Best professional optionIf you're a professional looking for a higher-quality webcam option with more features than the average conference cam, the Vitade 960A is a good option. Its touch-activated ring light offers three adjustable brightness settings (plus an off mode) so you can look your best no matter where you're broadcasting from. Other features include autofocus and light correction. A long cable makes it easy to set up wherever you need to, but unfortunately, it doesn't have a built-in privacy shutter like some of the higher-end webcams, and its rounded design may make it difficult to install a custom one. If that's not a concern, this is still a solid option for the price range. You can also grab an extra 5% off by selecting the coupon on its store page. See at Amazon NexiGo Full HD Webcam With 360-Degree Swivel and Privacy Shutter $40 (was $55) Best home office optionThis is an excellent price for a professional-grade HD webcam, especially when paired with some of its features: a built-in noise canceling microphone, a 360-degree swivel which allows for easy positioning, and a privacy shutter, which should give you peace of mind while you're working. See at Amazon Gesma 1080P HD Streaming Webcam $28 (was $35) Popular mid-range optionThis 1080p HD webcam from Gesma might not be marked down the most compared to some of the other cams on this list, but with over 5,300 reviews (over 80% positive), it is undoubtedly one of the most popular options for its price range. If all you need is solid HD video quality and good sound quality for online classes, meetings, or personal calls, it offers all of that, with no frills. Plus it's small and has a long cable, making it easy and flexible to set up. See at Amazon Angetube 967 Full HD Webcam With Ring Light and Tripod Mount $53 (was $66) Ring light and tripod supportWhile the Angetube 967 doesn't come with a tripod, its thread mount makes installing one super easy. Pair that with its adjustable ring light and autofocus options, and the Angetube is a solid option if you're looking for something with extra features that's still more affordable than high-end models from Logitech and Razer. See at Amazon Spedal MF920 Pro Full HD Webcam With 120-Degree Field of View $47 (was $63) Best wide-angle lensThe Spedal MF920 Pro is a pretty reliable webcam all around: full HD 1080p picture, noise-canceling microphone, autofocus and low light correction, and easy setup meet the standards of its price point. What sets it apart from the other options on this list is its wide-angle lens. Offering a full 120-degree field of view, the Spedal MF920 Pro is an excellent option for capturing larger groups like a conference room or a family gathering. It can also swivel a full 360 degrees, making it even more versatile. Its white and grey color scheme (most webcams come in plain black) is a rare plus too. A modder who is currently working on a 60 FPS patch for Bloodborne has clarified the reason why he's waiting to release it--and it's not in case Sony doesn't deliver.Lance McDonald, who has been toiling away on a PlayStation 4 Pro version of Bloodborne to get it to run at 60 FPS, released new gameplay footage of his efforts in motion. His pinned YouTube comment says the 60 FPS patch will drop "once the PlayStation 5 has released and Sony have made it clear whether or not Bloodborne will be enhanced on that system in any way." McDonald goes on to say that he wants to give PlayStation "the first chance" to release a higher frame rate version of the game.On Twitter, McDonald clarified his intentions following a Kotaku report, in which the original headline posited that he would release the patch if Sony failed to release its own 60 FPS version. McDonald said he ultimately wants to make sure he doesn't "get in the way of Sony doing important and awesome work." He also said that the 60 FPS patch will release whether or not Bloodborne gets a PS5 enhanced port.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
