Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is getting another guest costume on November 3, and this one's a famous, beloved screen monster. Godzilla is coming to the game for Godzilla Day (also November 3, the release date of the 1954 original), a day dedicated to celebrating the legacy of Japan's favorite kaiju. The costume will cost 10 crowns, so you'll either want to have some saved up or earn a few before then if you're a fan of the series. It's a cartoonier take on the character, as befitting the game--a version of Godzilla that served as a grim reminder of the cost of nuclear warfare might not have suited Fall Guys, as great as those movies are.You can check out the costume below before deciding if you want to buy it once it's available.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Netflix has released a new trailer for George Clooney's sci-fi adventure epic, The Midnight Sky. Due out on the streaming platform on December 23, the movie is a "post-apocalyptic tale [that] follows Augustine (Clooney), a lonely scientist in the Arctic, as he races to stop Sully (Felicity Jones) and her fellow astronauts from returning home to Earth, where a mysterious global catastrophe has taken place." Check out the trailer below.Clooney directs the film, which is an adaptation of Lily Brooks-Dalton's debut novel, 2017's Good Morning, Midnight. The novel's official website on publisher Penguin Random House notes that the book served as "the inspiration" for the film, so it's reasonable to expect many creative liberties were taken to diverge from the source material for dramatic purposes. In addition to Clooney and Jones, the film's stars also include Kyle Chandler, David Oyelowo, and Demián Bichir. Mark L. Smith wrote the script, which bodes well, given that Smith co-wrote 2015's excellent epic The Revenant, which was also adapted from a novel.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Rainbow Six Siege has received more than its fair share of creative or downright strange limited-time modes over the years, and this year's Halloween event is no different. Unlike 2019's Halloween event, Doktor's Curse, which featured heavy horror themes, 2020's event focuses on the sugary side of the holiday--to disturbing ends. The mode is called Sugar Fright, and it challenges players to collect candy for their team, either the Tricksters or the Treaters. As the below trailer shows, you aren't controlling the operators you're used to--instead, each player pilots a creepy puppet version of a familiar operator. Eliminating your fellow puppets causes them to drop candy, and whichever team collects the most candy wins. Between the dead-eyed operators and the bright wash of colors, it sort of resembles a horror movie directed by Wes Anderson. In a novel move for Siege, players in Sugar Fright will respawn after being downed, even within the same round. In order to accommodate for this change, Ubisoft announced that leaving the event early will create a 30 minute leave penalty for ranked and unranked playlists, even if you leave during the match summary. This mode apparently also takes place entirely in the candy-addled mind of Siege operator Frost.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Super Mario 3D All-Stars might feature two beloved classics featuring everyone's favorite Italian plumber--as well as Super Mario Sunshine--but the collection has attracted controversy since its announcement. Now, Nintendo has announced that players will have the option of inverting camera controls in all three of the collection's games, Super Mario 64, Galaxy, and Sunshine starting on November 16.A free software update is coming to #SuperMario3DAllStars on 11/16 that adds a new inverted camera control setting for all three games. pic.twitter.com/06y4IAenCk — Nintendo of America (@NintendoAmerica) October 27, 2020Inverted camera controls weren't included in any of the original versions of the games, but have become a standard option in many 3D games since their release. Since Super Mario 3D All-Stars was ostensibly intended as an updated collection of these games, the lack of customizable camera controls was noticeable. Many players have complained about grappling with the primitive camera controls of Super Mario 64 in particular, which were designed prior to the advent of stick-based camera control. Poor Lakitu.Super Mario 3D All-Stars also garnered criticism for Nintendo's decision to make the game only available for digital purchase through March 31, 2021, as well as the lack of extra features compared to simply playing the games in a high-end PC emulator. The lack of Super Mario Galaxy 2 was also noted. While most agree that these are great games that stand the test of time, compared to flashier remakes like the Spyro Reignited Trilogy, it becomes apparent that Nintendo isn't necessarily interested in updating the look of these games to take advantage of newer hardware.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

It's like Sacha Baron Cohen and Borat never went away. Despite his Kazakh journalist character's 14-year absence, Borat is now seemingly everywhere--or at least being discussed almost everywhere--since the runway to the recently released Amazon Prime sequel, Borat Subsequent Moviefilm. Without a doubt, one of the biggest sources of controversies surrounding the movie is presidential lawyer Rudy Giuliani's appearance in the film. If you still haven't seen it, all you really need to know is that the former New York City mayor is pretty skeezy in it and unaware he's being pranked. In an appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, Cohen (as himself) shares behind-the-scenes details into what really went down with Giuliani. In response to fans who were skeptical about Borat's ability to leave, then suddenly reappear at opportune (read: misopportune) moments to push Giuliani over the edge, Cohen told Colbert that throughout the scene he was waiting in a "hideaway" in a closet in the hotel room where the infamous scene took place. It seemed like the scene might not work out when, Cohen explains, Giuliani brought an ex-policeman in to do a sweep before sitting outside "ensuring that no one could come in and out." Cyberpunk 2077 has been delayed by another three weeks. Its new release date is set for December 10. Following numerous previous delays, it had been set for launch on November 19, but according to a statement from studio execs Adam Badowski and Marcin Iwinski, shipping the game on PS4/Pro, Xbox One/X, and PC, alongside next-gen versions for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and Stadia, has been a challenge, especially under work from home conditions."Since Cyberpunk 2077 evolved towards almost being a next-gen title somewhere along the way, we need to make sure everything works well and every version runs smoothly," the statement continues. "We're aware it might seem unrealistic when someone says that 21 days can make any difference in such a massive and complex game, but they really do."Statement From CD Projekt Red On Cyberpunk 2077 DelayWe have important news to share with you pic.twitter.com/qZUaD6IwmM — Cyberpunk 2077 (@CyberpunkGame) October 27, 2020The pair also clarified that recent news that the game had gone gold doesn't mean work on the game was complete, as the team is able to continue refining the experience. The time the studio had allotted to doing this post-certification work is what was miscalculated, thus resulting in the delay. The improvements and tweaks being made in the extra time will be ready and available when the game launches in December.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

This is not looking cool, Joker. The beloved Persona series has received many spinoffs over the years, from fighting games to dance-offs, and many fans expressed excitement for the musou-style follow-up Persona 5 Scramble. However, there's a new wrinkle: Publisher Koei Tecmo released its new financial results recently, and a Western localization of Scramble isn't mentioned at all.A previous financial report from Koei Tecmo mentioned a Persona 5 Scramble back in July. However, as spotted by Siliconera, that report has now been replaced with a revised version that removes any mention of such a release. This latest financial information indicates that the company is focusing on its other major musou spin-off, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, which will receive a simultaneous worldwide release on November 20.It's unclear if this means that Persona 5 Scramble's Western release will be delayed or outright cancelled. Considering the outsized popularity of Persona 5, it would seem hard to believe that the game won't make its way to North America and Europe, but stranger things have happened. (I guess you could say we never saw it coming.) Scramble may come out under the title Persona 5 Strikers in English-speaking territories, based on a Sega trademark filing. The game is expected to come to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4.Info from Gamespot.com

Sony's PlayStation division is considering the possibility of mergers and acquisitions as it looks ahead to the future of PlayStation 5. The comment came from PlayStation boss Jim Ryan, who hinted at the strategy as one way Sony could grow its first-party studio output.Ryan told Reuters that the company plans to grow its studios organically, but added that "where we can bolster our in-house capability with selective M&A [mergers and acquisitions] that might be possible."In the same interview, Ryan said that the company is seeing "very considerable" demand, but is aiming to get enough stock on store shelves to meet that demand. He said that it's possible that some people who want to buy on launch day won't be able to find it.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Four or five years ago, Dark Souls modding was in its infancy, with any modification requiring the use of hex editors and dodgy mod tools to implement. However, the modding community has come a long way in just a few short years, with 2019's Daughters of Ash representing almost a total overhaul of the game, complete with new bosses and restored content cut from the original game. Now, the developers behind many of the most notable Dark Souls mods are teaming up to create what modder Grimrukh calls a "direct sequel" to Dark Souls 1, and it will feature a Bloodborne-style rally system.Proud to announce that Nightfall has the Rally mechanic from Bloodborne. Took almost a year for me to come up with the extremely bizarre method of implementation in this engine. Enjoy. If you like what I do, consider subbing on patreon I don't have a job https://t.co/SHrHy3M4Fb pic.twitter.com/M6xrYIR2aS — Meowmaritus (@meowmaritus) October 27, 2020Titled Dark Souls: Nightfall, the project would represent the most ambitious mod for Dark Souls ever, including an entirely remixed world map, an overhauled combat system based on the QuickSouls combat mod, and brand-new NPCs with voice acting. As the above tweet shows, modders like Meowmaritus are using complex code to implement a Bloodborne-esque rally system in the creaky Dark Souls 1 engine--when you take a hit, attacking your opponent will give you some of your health back. It's still unclear when Dark Souls: Nightfall will come out, though Grimrukh did say that it's been in development for much of 2020. However, given that huge mod projects tend to take years to come out, it's best to wait and see on this one. While we haven't seen much in the way of a new Souls game recently, the Demon's Souls PS5 remaster is on its way, and we've got all the info on it.Info from Gamespot.com

Sony might have caught everyone off-guard when the company decided to open preorders for the PlayStation 5 not long after revealing its November 12 release date, but that hasn't stopped demand from eclipsing that of the PlayStation 4 during its preorder period.Jim Ryan, CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, has stated in an interview with Reuters that demand for that PlayStation 5 has outstripped the company's supply capability at launch, but that the number of orders already placed far exceeds that of the first few months of the PlayStation 4. In just 12 hours, Sony sold more PS5 consoles than in the first 12 weeks of PS4 preorder sales in the United States.Finding a preorder for a PS5 is difficult now, and Ryan says that Sony is trying its best to ensure additional stock for the upcoming holiday season. But Ryan warns that it will likely remain challenging to find a PS5 if you don't already have one ordered.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
