Cyborg actor Ray Fisher has become an outspoken critic of Warner Bros. higher ups over the course of the year. He's taken to social media multiple times to call out abusive and racist behavior he and other cast members faced while on set for the 2017 box office flop, Justice League, after production was handed over from original director Zack Snyder to pinch hitter Joss Whedon, who finished the film. The first of Fisher's allegations came on July 1st where he publicly retracted his praise of Whedon during the movie's San Diego Comic-Con Panel, adding that producers Geoff Johns and John Berg were also complicit in the abuses the cast faced. Later, Warner Bros. issued a statement saying that Fisher wasn't complying with their attempts to investigate these allegations, which Fisher denied. He was then publicly supported by co-star Jason Momoa who took to social media of his own to condemn the actions Warner Bros. had taken, including leaking information about a film Momoa was set to star in as a "distraction."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Everyone thinks of something different when they think about Paul Rudd. Ant-Man in the MCU, Andy in Wet Hot American Summer, that memetastic Hot Ones interview. To me, he'll always be Celery Man. But lately, Rudd has been taking part in New York civics. September brought us the actor's Covid/Mask PSA (on Governor Cuomo's YouTube page, no less), and this week New Yorkers spotted him handing out cookies to queuing voters in New York City.Hey, look at us, who would’ve thought.. we’d be enjoying cookies with Paul Rudd after voting in BK😎 #MakeHistoryHere pic.twitter.com/WyJfbKvwFT — Barclays Center (@barclayscenter) October 29, 2020Rudd stopped by the Barclays center in Brooklyn, New York to snap a few masked-up selfies with voters as they waited in the rain to place their votes. While there, Rudd thanked voters for "coming out and doing your part and voting."In this contentious presidential race, a bunch of normally-quiet celebrities have been coming out of the woodwork to show support for the first time ever. Michael Keaton proclaimed himself the best Batman last week and reiterated that in a political ad endorsing Joe Biden. Earlier this year, Dwayne Johnson endorsed a political candidate officially for the first time.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

While discussing the visual presentation, Moore revealed that developer Bluepoint Games has created filters that can be used to change the way the game looks."For the visual look of the game, what we do is we allow a whole set of filters," Moore says. The PlayStation 5 begins its global rollout on November 12, and fans are wondering what the next several years of PlayStation are going to look like. Now, PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan has spoken about all things PlayStation in a new interview, and he's made some interesting comments on the immediate future of VR.Talking to The Washington Post, Ryan said that he believes the "future" of VR is going to take some time. "I think we’re more than a few minutes from the future of VR,†he said. “We definitely believe at some point in the future, VR will represent a meaningful component of interactive entertainment. Will it be this year? No. Will it be next year? No. But will it come at some stage? We believe that."What this means, essentially, is that Sony still believes in VR--having sold 5 million PlayStation VR units--they don't think the next big step in VR is happening for a while yet. "We’re very pleased with all the experience that we’ve gained with PlayStation VR, and we look forwarding to seeing where that takes us in the future,' Ryan adds. While the PS5 will not have a new VR headset at launch--or for a while, by the sound of it--it will support the PS4 VR headset.Xbox CEO Phil Spencer has previously said that Microsoft is not pursuing VR for the Series X because no one is asking for it.For more on Sony's new system, check out GameSpot's PS5 preview.Info from Gamespot.com

Destiny 2 is getting a lot of changes and new features with the Beyond Light expansion. But for Guardians who like to look fashionable, among the coolest is the addition of armor transmogrification--the ability to wear a piece of gear, but change it to look like another piece. Players have been holding on to a bunch of old pieces of armor waiting for transmogrification to kick in--but Bungie has revealed that you can finally throw all that stuff away.Transmogrification is a common system in MMOs. Since there are so many pieces of gear in those games, offering so many different looks, transmogrification offers a lot of customization. If you like the stats of a helmet, but not its look, you can use transmog to make it look like a different helmet, while still maintaining the original's stats; only the cosmetic aspect changes. On Twitter, Bungie revealed that the transmogrification system will work with your Collections tab, rather than armor pieces you're storing in your vault or on your characters.Per @thislukesmith - You don't need to have armor pieces in your vault when Transmog goes live for them to be eligible. Collections based.Free up some vault space.Info from Gamespot.com

Warframe is currently going through a file downsize on PC, hoping to cut down its footprint by 15GB across three updates. Now, the second update in what developer Digital Extremes playfully refers to as "The Great Ensmallening" is on its way, and some details and screenshots have been revealed. In a new Warframe forum post, Digital Extremes has explained that this coming update will focus on textures. "We are anticipating about 8-10 GB of savings with this round after a 10GB download," the post says--which means that after an update, the overall size of the game will shrink as older files are jettisoned. While compressing these textures, the developer decided to also touch-up and improve them--meaning that the game will actually look better than it did before.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Doom Eternal: The Ancient Gods Part 1 feels like a thrilling action movie occasionally interrupted by a game of I Spy. You want to keep watching John Wick’s balletic slaughter but your impertinent host won’t unpause the Blu-ray until you spot the ficus in the background. It’s also tough as nails. If you haven't played Doom Eternal since it launched back in March, the first moments of its new DLC, The Ancient Gods Part 1, will feel like a kick in the teeth--n a good way, mostly. Once you get back in the demon-slaying swing of things, it's exciting to have more high-level Doom Eternal to play, unconstrained by the need to reintroduce you to the basics. But, still: Be ready. The Ancient Gods Part 1 picks up right where Eternal left off. After an opening "previously on" text screen and a cutscene that will remind you that Doom Eternal focused way too much on story and Proper Noun-riddled lore, the DLC tosses you back into the action. Your entire roster of weapons--save the Crucible, that overpowered glowing red sword Doom Guy scored toward the end of the vanilla game--is unlocked right from the start. The Ancient Gods also throws the big bads of Eternal's late-game roster at you right out of the gate. I had my first fight with a Marauder less than an hour in.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

AMD has revealed its full range of RX 6000 graphics cards. Dubbed "Big Navi," these new GPUs are directly competing with Nvidia's latest RTX 30- series, with the RTX 3070 launching soon. AMD's latest range starts with the new RX 6800XT, a massive card that features 16GB of GDDR6 memory, 72 compute units, a base clock of 2015MHz, and a boost clock of 2250MHz. It's also less power hungry than Nvidia's RTX 3080, requiring only 300W (a difference of 20W). The RX 6800 keeps the same 16GB of GDDR6 memory, but drops compute units down to 60 while also reducing base and boost clocks to 1815MHz and 2105MHz respectively. The news comes hot on the heels of its Ryzen 5000 series CPU announcement earlier in October.AMD's own benchmarks positions the RX 6800XT as a direct competitor to the RTX 3080, while the RX 6800 is compared to the older RTX 2080Ti. In both sets of results below there are instances where Nvidia's cards are ahead, AMD is confident that its cards either match or better its competition in the majority of cases. AMD omitted any comparisons to the RTX 3070, but given its delayed launch date that isn't too surprising.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

CD Projekt Red announced what will presumably be the last delay to Cyberpunk 2077, pushing it back by a mere 21 days to make more time for the day zero patch. It is understandably a bummer. But this being the Internet, some sliver of the population went way too far with it, prompting the team to request an end to the death threats.RPG design lead Andrej Zawadzki said on Twitter that he understands why fans may feel angry or disappointed, but sending death threats is unacceptable. "We are people, just like you," he said. Much of the anger seems to have stemmed from a tweet sent by the Cyberpunk Twitter account, just one day before the delay announcement, promising no more delays. While many fans took it in stride as a somewhat embarrassing mishap for the repeatedly-delayed game, others claimed it showed CDPR had intentionally misled its fans.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
