CD Projekt could soon be facing yet another Cyberpunk 2077 problem, arguably bigger than having to offer refunds to upset players: a class-action lawsuit. It isn't from other players, either, but potentially from investors who felt they were misled about the game's quality prior to release.According to VGC, multiple law firms, as well as a CD Projekt investor, are looking into a class-action suit related to potential misrepresentation by CD Projekt. The company could be accused of breaking an SEC rule that makes it unlawful to operate "as a fraud or a deceit upon any person" during security transactions. In other words, this potential lawsuit would see investors taking aim at CD Projekt rather than the customers who bought the game. Given the massive drop in share value for the company over the last week, this isn't a huge surprise. Several of the executives and co-founders of the company have reportedly lost over $1 billion in their own stock value since the game's launch.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Especially if you are far along in the Cyberpunk 2077 storyline, you are going to want to monitor your save file size closely. Players are reporting that their save data is being corrupted after it goes beyond 8MB, and there isn't any way to recover the data if this happens.Players on Reddit are discovering that, at least in some instances, their save files are corrupted and unrecoverable once they reach that 8MB mark. For those who have been crafting items extensively over the course of their playthrough, the file size can balloon, putting them at greater risk of having their data corrupted. It isn't affecting all players, and you seem to be more likely to corrupt your data if you've crafted literally thousands of items.GOG support (GOG is owned by CD Projekt Red's parent company, CD Projekt) seemed to acknowledge that there was indeed a file size limit in a reply to a concerned player. The company said it may increase the save file size limit via a future patch but this would not revert already corrupted save data back to a useable state. It also recommended not using any item duplication glitches and loading a save file that hasn't made use of it yet. Because you can manually save, you can potentially keep a "safe" save file if you don't mind the risk of losing progress and reverting back to that file. No one is more closely associated with Nintendo than Shigeru Miyamoto. "Mario's dad" and the creator of series like Donkey Kong and The Legend of Zelda has been with the company for decades, and his own children grew up with access to Nintendo's game library. That's why it's particularly amusing that they were also big Sega fans.Speaking to The New Yorker, Miyamoto said that growing up, his children were big fans of Space Harrier and Out Run--two classics we've seen on numerous systems, including Sega Genesis. They both hold up fairly well today, and you can actually play them both on Nintendo Switch via the Sega Ages series.Perhaps that Sega love came as a result of the house's game consoles being owned by Miyamoto himself rather than his kids.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

The PUBG Mobile development team has been on a roll with its anti-cheat actions, as it has banned more than 2 million people over the course of a week. Dubbed the "Ban Pan," the latest anti-cheating report for the game says that nearly a third of all banned players had modified their character model, while about 15% of players were using aim hacks. From December 11th-17th, 2,127,454 accounts have been permanently suspended from accessing our game, out of which these are the majority of the reasons:⬜ X-Ray Vision⬜ Auto Aim Hacks⬜ Modification of Character Models pic.twitter.com/AdA8iItjqJ — PUBG MOBILE (@PUBGMOBILE) December 20, 2020The accounts banned as part of the mass action are permanently suspended from using the game. Other reasons for the bans include x-ray vision hacks, speed hacks, and hacks that modify an area of damage. All of them threaten to undermine the competitive nature of a game that game that has more than 50 million daily users. That means the banned total equals roughly 4% of the total daily number, though the game has been downloaded more than 600 million times to date.PUBG Mobile's success is even more crucial right now, as Fortnite is--at least temporarily--not available on iOS. That doesn't mean the game faces no competition on the platform, as Call of Duty Mobile continues to get updates for standard multiplayer as well as battle royale content.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

We are about to reach the end of a very important era for Xbox--well, in about a year. Microsoft has announced that in December 2021, it will be taking Xbox 360 services offline for the Halo series. Total player-count has been dwindling as more players choose to play the Xbox One or PC versions through the Master Chief Collection, and the Xbox 360 versions haven't even been available to purchase physically for about two years.Halo Xbox 360 services are going offline in December 2021. The No More Heroes games have been primarily associated with Nintendo systems thus far, and the upcoming No More Heroes 3 will be a Switch exclusive. However, it looks like the first two games could be coming to PC if an ESRB rating listing is any indication.Spotted by Gematsu, there are full ratings and descriptions available on the ESRB website for both No More Heroes and No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle. Only the Windows PC platform is listed at the top of each page, and the games were only available on Wii and Nintendo Switch, though an enhanced version of the first game did also come to PS3 and Xbox 360. Keep in mind that these rating descriptions do contain some spoilers about the games in order to convey their level of violence. The spinoff game Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes did release on PC eventually, coming alongside a PS4 version in late 2019 after the game initially launched as a Switch exclusive. It's possible something like this could also be planned for No More Heroes 3, though only a Switch version has been revealed so far.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Indie developer Eric "ConcernedApe" Barone has been aiming the ambitious Stardew Valley 1.5 update for this year, but if you've looked at a calendar lately you know there's not much of this year left. But fret not, fellow farmers: Barone says he may still be able to release the update this year on PC.In answering a fan on Twitter, Barone said it might come out on PC this year, though console players will still have to wait for early 2021. This was only a "might," so it seems he may still be working through some last remaining bugs and polish, as he said in November. It might come out this year on PC, and then on console early next year — ConcernedApe (@ConcernedApe) December 16, 2020Previously, Barone has said that most of the new content is aimed at endgame players who have developed their farms, though there will be new features that players will be able to enjoy if they start from the beginning too. At least one new feature is split-screen cooperative play, which may support up to four players depending on the platform. Barone also teased a new door in the back of Willie's shop, but where it goes or what it does is unknown.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

It's getting to be the end of the year, which means it's prime "everyone posts their favorite movies and TV shows lists" season. On Twitter, former President Barack Obama got into the spirit of things by sharing his favorites from 2020--and also acknowledging that he might have watched so much more than usual because "like everyone else, we were stuck inside a lot this year." Check out the full list below.Like everyone else, we were stuck inside a lot this year, and with streaming further blurring the lines between theatrical movies and television features, I’ve expanded the list to include visual storytelling that I’ve enjoyed this year, regardless of format. pic.twitter.com/a8BS8jDkSs — Barack Obama (@BarackObama) December 18, 2020Obama was not kidding about how much he's been watching--his list is packed with many pretty recent Netflix picks, such as Mank (director David Fincher's biographical drama about screenwriter Herman J. Mankiewicz, who developed Citizen Kane's screenplay) and The Queen's Gambit (a drama miniseries about an orphaned girl who finds her confidence and identity through chess). But what's really impressive is a few of his favorites for this whole entire year aren't even out yet or were just released today: Ma Rainey's Black Bottom hit the streaming platform this morning, whereas Disney+'s Soul won't be out until Christmas Day--a full week from today. Also raising an eyebrow on the list is Obama giving a shout-out to Crip Camp, an excellent documentary about a New York summer camp established in the '70s for teens with disabilities--which was made by Obama's production company, Higher Ground. He might be a little biased on that last one, even though it is good.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
