The first two episodes of Marvel's WandaVision have landed on Disney+ and Phase 4 has officially begun--but it's really, really weird. The show has pulled no punches in terms of its vintage sitcom aesthetics and flavor, but asked more questions than it's answered. How did Wanda and Vision get here? Where is here? Why are they hopscotching through TV history? And, perhaps most obviously: How is Vision, who we last left dead in Avengers: Infinity War, suddenly alive again?Theories are already beginning to brew across the internet, but a behind-the-scenes featurette released by Marvel to celebrate the premiere might shed some light on that last question--in the most bizarre way possible.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

We rung in the Netflix New Year with Cobra Kai Season 3, and we're still basking in the glow of the Christmas Sweater Karate Invasion. Netflix has lots of other shows to watch, though, even if we'd kind of rather just wait for Cobra Kai Season 4.Speaking of 4, that's where the continuing adventures of jump-kicking teenagers rests on this week's list of most-viewed Netflix content. The list starts with service's hit original series The Queen's Gambit in the tenth spot, almost two months after release, and goes from there, covering genres from kids shows to documentaries, finishing out with true crime documentary Night Stalker: The Hunt for a Serial Killer, which details the story of Los Angeles serial killer Richard Ramirez. Keep in mind that as you look through this list that Netflix considers anything over two minutes a "view."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

When people think of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, they'll likely gravitate to either the comics from Bryan Lee O'Malley or the live-action film from Edgar Wright. However, one of the lesser-known strands of the Scott Pilgrim brand was the film's licensed game tie-in. Like the film, it was not only a faithful adaptation of the comics' tribute to geek culture and retro games, but it also happened to be a fun co-op brawler in its own right. After a sudden delisting from digital video game stores in 2014, the once-lost licensed game has scored a second life with the Complete Edition, and it hasn't lost its exuberant style. The game's passion for a bygone era can often be a bit overwhelming, yet it still offers a satisfying time brawling through the streets with friends.Like its comic and film counterpart, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game sticks with the same video game-inspired conceit, but interprets it into an actual video game. After the titular character meets the girl of his dreams in Ramona Flowers, Scott and his bandmates Kim and Stephen, along with Ramona, have to fight a rogue's gallery of evil exes seeking to disrupt the relationship. In the vein of a classic arcade brawler, the game keeps its story light to put all its energy into showing off the stunning 2D visuals of its side-scrolling beat-'em-up gameplay, which leans heavily into the splendor of the retro era.The original game wore its inspirations--classic games like River City Ransom, Final Fight, and Final Fantasy--on its sleeve, and the Complete Edition keeps its aesthetic and core gameplay intact. What you get in this enhanced package is the full game, the four bonus modes involving zombies and dodgeball, and the extra DLC characters--which include Wallace Wells, Knives Chau, and hidden character Nega-Scott. The Complete Edition also comes with Network Mode for online play, which was a late addition in the final DLC for the original game.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

In a Facebook post published on Thursday, writer/director/pop culture enthusiast Kevin Smith revealed that he has "just finished" the first draft of Clerks 3. He also shared that he started writing on December 28, and that this is technically the second version of the film he's written, adding that he's "now very happy we never made" the previous version from six years ago.Comparing this draft to the previous one, Smith writes that this is "a much more personal story than the previous incarnation, drawing directly on the heart attack that nearly killed me (three years ago next month)." Smith also posted a picture of a fraction of the script's first page, which you can read for yourself below.Elsewhere in the Facebook post, Smith also shares that while his own mortality was very much in mind for the script, he promises "this script to Clerks 3 makes me laugh out loud." He also credited the realities of living in quarantine and overall "the real world lately" were a major catalyst for Smith to hold still, sit down, and bang out a draft--noting that "the writing doesn't begin when you start tapping the keys: I've been stirring this stew in my brain pan for a while now."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Developer Psyonix is reviving a four-year-old limited-time mode for Rocket League this weekend on Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.For fans of the mode, Rocket Labs may sound familiar. Four years ago, the studio dropped an experimental mode called Rocket Labs Arena that randomly changed the field. Sometimes this meant new obstacles appearing out of thin air. Other times, the whole Rocket League arena would change shapes, drastically altering the layout and flow of the map. Rocket Labs is back as a new, rotating LTM. And this weekend's first one is Soccar on Galleon.Originally found in Psyonix's 2008 title Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars, the Galleon map has been reimagined for Rocket League and this new Rocket Labs LTM. Steam sales fall into a yearly pattern, and we always know roughly when to expect each major sale--for example, the summer and winter sales always kick off around the end of June and December, respectively. While we can anticipate the time period for the sale, Steam rarely announces exact dates beforehand. However, this info somehow manages to "leak" ahead of time on a consistent basis, and the tradition continues with the next big Steam sale, the 2021 Lunar New Year Sale.According to Steam Database (@SteamDB) on Twitter, the Steam Lunar New Year Sale will kick off on February 11 and run until February 15, which means the next big Steam sale is roughly one month away. As SteamDB points out, Chinese New Year 2021 starts on February 12, so the dates make sense. While a start time was not given, Steam sales usually start around 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET.The dates reportedly leaked from an email to Steam partners. For context, Steam Database is an account unaffiliated with Valve that tracks various updates related to the platform, and it has a history of accurately reporting upcoming Steam sale dates--but as always with rumors, take this info with a grain of salt.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Pokemon Go's January Community Day takes place this Saturday, January 16. The featured Pokemon this time around is Machop, and Niantic is making it a little easier for players to evolve it during the event. From January 15-18, Niantic is temporarily increasing the game's trading distance to 40 km, allowing you to trade Pokemon with a friend from farther away than usual. This should help make it a bit easier to evolve Machoke into Machamp, as it's one of a handful of Pokemon that can essentially evolve by trading, just as in the mainline games. If you receive select Pokemon like the aforementioned Machoke in a trade, its Candy requirement to evolve will be completely removed, effectively allowing you to evolve it for free. Considering that it normally costs 100 Candy to evolve a three-stage Pokemon into its final form, this is a nice alternate means of evolving some monsters.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
