Whatever the case, 19 million is a gargantuan number.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

An eagle-eyed fan watching Sesame Street reruns with her child recently spotted actor Ryan Reynolds singing while wearing the letter A way back in 2010. That's pretty much all the setup you need to appreciate and understand the deadpan crack (no pun intended) Reynolds made when responding to the excited fan on Twitter about what a struggle it was to fit into the "A-hole." Check out his tweet below and the originating clip as well. I remember how challenging it was to sing because the A-hole was so tight. But I pushed through because kids all over the country were counting on me. https://t.co/EiXEUjomxE — Ryan Reynolds (@VancityReynolds) January 25, 2021Twitter user Marie Julianna summed things up best in an equally lightning-fast assertion that, "The speed at which [Reynolds can] veer back and forth between filthy and wholesome is delightful." Given the actor's propensity for internet gags, goofs, and pranks, this joke was a nice on-the-fly bonus. It also continues a lengthy streak of antics that include an ongoing fake feud against Hugh Jackman for who can raise the most for charity (which Jackman won in December).Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Hulu is giving us a brand-new reason to re-watch Palm Springs. This week, the streaming service released a commentary cut for which Hulu is calling the first of its kind in streaming. The commentary track features stars Andy Samberg and Cristin Milioti, as well as director Max Barbakow and screenwriter Andy Siara (with whom Samberg is already working on a new, untitled project).Palm Springs hit during as the doldrums of COVID-19 isolation, and it felt like a perfect fit for the huge shifts we were coming to grips with during that time. The film was an early favorite for 2020 and stood up through the year's releases to come and made it into our best-of lists for 2020."As far as I know, we're the first," Samberg said in an interview with Variety. "We realized that Palm Springs will always be on Hulu, which is great, but there are elements of the DVD experience that just don't exist anymore. They [Hulu] were very amenable in talking about the ways to get some fun stuff in there."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Among the new features brought to the World of Assassination by Hitman 3 are permanent shortcuts--doors and ladders you can unlock for quick access to handy paths through levels. Once you find a shortcut and unlock it, it's open in all your subsequent playthroughs of a mission, no matter where you start from. These shortcuts can make it a lot easier to get to sensitive areas or to find particular items, disguises, or assassination opportunities. But in order to unlock them for future use, you'll have to find them the first time, and they usually require a little hunting to find. We've compiled a complete list of all the shortcuts scattered through Hitman 3's six missions, as well as an explanation of how to unlock them. Note that you'll usually need tools, so it's always good to grab a crowbar and screwdriver to make sure you can unlock a shortcut when you get to it. You'll also have to approach shortcuts from the long way around--all shortcut doors are one way until you've opened them, and shortcut ladders have to be dropped from the top. Expect to do some careful infiltration to find them all.Don't forget to check out the rest of our Hitman 3 guides, and to read our Hitman 3 review.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

After arriving to PC players in December, Stardew Valley's big update 1.5 is nearing release on consoles, as well. Developer Eric "ConcernedApe" Barone shared the news on his Twitter account, saying he has submitted the update for certification on the platforms. Once that process is complete, it should be available.Console players: the update is being submitted to certification today. That can take a variable amount of time so I can't make any guarantee about release date. I still feel that my original estimate of late this month or early next month is likely, though. — ConcernedApe (@ConcernedApe) January 23, 2021Barone stressed that this process doesn't always take the same amount of time, so it will likely still be either late January or early February when players can enjoy the new content. Given how long it took to develop Stardew Valley in the first place, however, what's another week or two on this update?Stardew Valley's update 1.5 is the biggest update for the game to date. It includes new character creation options, a new Beach Farm, a variety of advanced game options like remixed bundles, new hairstyles, split-screen cooperative play, new music, home renovations, and many more additions. Since it came out, the update has received a few patches to fix some newer issues, which will hopefully already be fixed when the content comes to consoles.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

BioWare's Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is widely considered to be among the best Star Wars games ever made, as well as one of the best licensed role-playing games. Since the second game released in 2004, we've been in the dark on any follow-ups, but a new game is reportedly coming from a completely different company. That's according to VGC as well as Star Wars insider Bespin Bulletin and Nate Najda--better known online as Shinobi602--the new Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic game isn't being made by Electronic Arts or BioWare. Those sources didn't say who would be developing the new game, though Najda seemed to indicate it wasn't going to be a well-known studio.Electronic Arts had been publishing console and PC Star Wars games exclusively for the last several years, beginning with Star Wars: Battlefront in 2015 and eventually leading to games like Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Star Wars: Squadrons. The company seemed to be finally hitting its stride with the franchise, though it had also canceled several Star Wars games. However, with Ubisoft's Massive studio now creating an open-world Star Wars game, it appears nearly anyone could be in charge of this apparent new Knights of the Old Republic.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

As promised earlier this week, the trailer for Godzilla Vs. Kong has arrived. Watch it in all its epic, heightened kaiju glory below, and then get excited thinking about the fact that GVK is currently scheduled to hit theaters and HBO Max on March 26.Legendary Pictures teased the trailer earlier this week when they tweeted the first image of the movie's poster, to which fans reacted positively. The studio also posted a sneak peek teaser of the trailer on Saturday, because it's 2021 and teaser trailers for movie trailers is definitely a thing. The trailer itself gives us our first real glimpse at the brewing battle between Godzilla, a giant lizard, and King Kong, a giant ape. According to the film's official plot synopsis, "an enraged Godzilla" is "cutting a swath of destruction across the globe" when King Kong, on a spirit journey to find his true home with his orphan friend Jia, gets in its way. Unsurprisingly, the legendary monsters subsequently collide "in a spectacular battle for the ages, with the fate of the world hanging in the balance." But "the epic clash between the two titans--instigated by unseen forces--is only the beginning of the mystery that lies deep within the core of the Earth."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Cyberpunk 2077's launch may have been a mess for CD Projekt Red, but the game still managed to sell an incredible number of units--and many of those were digital. According to the analytics company SuperData, the game had the biggest digital game launch of all time, even when factoring in refunded copies.SuperData estimates that Cyberpunk 2077 sold 10.2 million digital units during its launch period, making it the biggest game launch based on both digital revenue as well as overall units sold. This number does not take into account the refunded copies, but SuperData said the difference would not be significant enough to overturn the record. SuperData has occasionally had its data disputed, as was the case with Epic Games in early 2020.The report said about 80% of the digital sales were on PC, which could account for why the refund totals didn't make much of an impact on this record. The game's worst problems were predominantly on PS4 and Xbox One, where crashing issues and poor performance led CD Projekt to apologize and even offer its own refunds in case retailers would not accept them. The game is not currently available to buy digitally for PlayStation systems. However, you can still find retail copies. Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

GameStop's first Pro Day sale of 2021 has begun, offering PowerUp Rewards Pro members the chance to save on games, accessories, and collectibles. As usual, the sale will run for a full 24 hours, and only Pro members who are signed into their account will be able to take advantage of the online deals. The Pro Day deals will also be available in stores. It's one of your best chances outside of the holidays to save big on games. If you need to get a backlog going, this is the time. The new Pro Day sale brings discounts on games for Nintendo Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, and Xbox One. There are some nice deals, but for many of these games, it's worth noting we've seen them cheaper in recent months than they are in the Pro Day sale. That includes Cyberpunk 2077, which will be $40 for Pro members on Saturday but was $30 as recently as this week. (We don't recommend buying Cyberpunk 2077 for last-gen consoles anyway unless you're holding out for the next-gen upgrade.) Persona 5 Royal sees a drop to $40 as well, and while we highly recommend the acclaimed JRPG, you'll likely find it cheaper in other sales if you're willing to wait--it was just $20 during Black Friday. The sale also offers first-party Nintendo Switch games for $50 instead of their usual $60. While this would have been notable in years past, $40-$45 is increasingly becoming the standard discount range for games like Super Mario Party, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Just check out Walmart or Best Buy right now, for instance, and you'll find some of these games for less than $50. For those who just got a Switch, that's the best way to quickly get all the first-party classics. Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Developer CD Projekt Red has released Patch 1.1 for Cyberpunk 2077 on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. According to the developer, this update "lays the groundwork for the upcoming patches." The patch notes are outlined below. However, be aware that it could also cause some of its own problems. The two biggest things addressed in Cyberpunk 2077 with this update are memory usage and crashes. According to the patch notes, the update makes some "memory improvements in various systems within the game" to stabilize performance. Additionally, the patch addresses the myriad crash issues, particularly related to loading game saves and the Point of No Return, that part where players are told they can't go back once the final mission starts.Patch 1.1 makes a number of important changes to questing as well, such as circumstances where players couldn't finish certain missions due to game hiccups. One example is in Delamain's questline, Epistrophy, in which players sometimes couldn't pick up or receive his calls to progress the quest. Another is in Takemura's quest Down on the Street, where players occasionally wouldn't receive a call from him. CD Projekt Red says these issues and others like them have been fixed in Patch 1.1. However, it appears it could have added a bug of its own. Players say a mission "fixed" in the patch can actually still be game-breaking.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Talk show host Larry King, whose career spanned several decades and included a number of cameo appearances as himself in movies and TV shows, has died at 87. King had been treated for COVID-19 and had previously been in the ICU."For 63 years and across the platforms of radio, television, and digital media, Larry's many thousands of interviews, awards, and global acclaim stand as a testament to his unique and lasting talent as a broadcaster," said Ora Media in a post on King's Twitter. "Additionally, while it was his name appearing in the shows' titles, Larry always viewed his interview subjects as the true stars of his programs, and himself as merely an unbiased conduit between the guest and the audience."pic.twitter.com/x0Hl0X6vqU — Larry King (@kingsthings) January 23, 2021King didn't take himself seriously in interviews, leading to some pretty hilarious moments when his guests were allowed to steer the conversation. For example, Ben Schwartz spoke to him about the then-upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog film, prompting King to attempt a hedgehog voice that he thought would fit the movie. It doesn't exactly sound like Sonic the Hedgehog. However, that doesn't mean it isn't incredible. Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
