Despite the anticipation for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild's sequel, Nintendo has been dead silent about the upcoming game since its announcement trailer in 2019. We know little about the game aside from vague inklings about its premise, which seems to involve Link and Zelda trying to put down for good what we presume to be the dead husk of Ganon. And we don't even know if the game will be titled Breath of the Wild 2 or if it'll have an entirely new subtitle. But with Zelda's 35th anniversary coming up, we're getting a feeling that new details may be coming soon, so we've taken the time to reflect on the first BotW to find nine things we'd want to see from the sequel. For all the latest news about the game, be sure to check out our BotW 2 hub. Otherwise, what do you want to see in BotW 2? Let us know in the comments below, and stay tuned to GameSpot for any future updates about the game.Playable or Partner ZeldaCan we not have Zelda as the damsel in distress anymore? Wouldn't it be cool to fight alongside her in a more cooperative experience? Nintendo has generally been good about having adventures you can play alongside friends with games like Luigi's Mansion 3 and Kirby: Star Allies, so the idea of having Zelda and Link side by side out in the open world sounds like a dream come true. Although, on the flip side of the coin, it may cause other mechanical issues, as we could see triggering bullet-time as a nuisance for the other player if not implemented properly. Other ideas like having an AI-controlled Zelda follow you throughout the entire adventure, a fully playable Zelda, or even the ability to control both characters simultaneously, ala-Astral Chain, would be fantastic to see in the sequel.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Fortnite's Season 5 has restructured the battle royale's challenge system. Weekly challenges are still here--but everything has been renamed a to match the new NPC system. So while things might look different on the surface, the underlying grind that players have complained about in the past remains.Last season had players grinding to level 225 in order to unlock special silver, gold, and rainbow versions of characters like Iron Man and Wolverine. They had punch cards, weekly, daily, XP coins, and other special challenges to help them grind through it. Season 5 has the same grind, with special skin variants unlocked after level 100, but there are no more XP coins or punchcards to help players unlock everything.Fortnite's challenges are now called "quests."While XP coins have vanished from the battle royale, Epic Games has added a replacement for punchcards. They are now called rare quests and are listed with a blue background in the challenge menu. All quests aren't listed in the menu so some players have created a complete list to help others finish everything before the end of the season.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

While most of the recent Star Wars announcements have focused on the variety of upcoming Disney+ shows, that doesn't mean that there aren't movies in the works too. One of these is a film to be produced by Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige, and it's now been reported that it will be written by Michael Waldron, the creator of the upcoming Marvel Disney+ series Loki. The news comes via Deadline, which reports that Waldron's Star Wars role is part of a wider deal with Disney, which also includes a second season of Loki. In addition, Waldron has written the screenplay for the MCU sequel Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness, which will be directed by Sam Raimi and releases in 2022. Deadline states it is rare for the studio to sign a writer for so many high profile projects. Disney has not commented on the deal.Feige's Star Wars movie was first announced in September 2019, but there has been little news about it since then. In November that year, Feige told The Hollywood Reporter, "I love the notion of exploring new people and new places in that universe."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

This week on Wrestle Buddies, GameSpot's professional wrestling podcast, Chris E. Hayner and Mat Elfring break from the regular format of the show to, instead, remember the life and career of Jon Huber. Huber, known to wrestling fans as AEW's Mr. Brodie Lee and WWE's Luke Harper, passed away in late December and the outpouring of love from the professional wrestling community was unlike anything we'd ever seen. While Huber was always good in the ring--and on the microphone, for that matter--the image painted of him by everyone he worked with was so much more than that. Above all, he was a husband and a father who did whatever he could to spend as much time with them as possible. To that end, Mat and Chris look at the reactions from Huber's fellow wrestlers, break down AEW's stellar tribute to the Dark Order leader, and recall their own memories of the man, including witnessing his final WWE bouts live. What about you, though? Do you have any fun memories of seeing Huber wrestle? If so, sound off in the comments, because we want to read them!Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

A never-released Tomb Raider game has been leaked, allowing you to play it on PC. Called "Tomb Raider: 10th Anniversary," it was originally intended as a PSP remake of the original Tomb Raider from Core Design. But it was ultimately shelved in favor of a different remake from Crystal Dynamics, Tomb Raider: Anniversary. While Core briefly considered reskinning the game to be a licensed Indiana Jones game, those plans also fizzled. PC Gamer reports that now more than a decade later, assets were released on the Internet Archive, and made playable via instructions on the fan site Tomb of Ash. You'll need to jump through some hoops like installing a patch, and you need to use either a PS4 or Xbox 360 controller. This is an early alpha build, and there are no enemies to contend with, but you can explore the environments of Peru, Greece, and Croft Manor.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

While 2020 was rough for average Americans, the world's richest only got richer, raking in more than $931 billion as the pandemic ravaged industries and livelihoods. Someone to rise out of the ashes of 2020 is Elon Musk, who is now reportedly the richest person on the planet.According to Bloomberg, the Tesla Inc. and SpaceX CEO's net worth has now reached some $188.5 billion, thanks in part to a 4.8% surge in Tesla's shares. This makes Musk wealthier than the world's previous wealthiest person, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, by $1.5 billion. Bezos would've held the title of World's Richest Person Ever if not for his divorce, which saw his ex-wife, MacKenzie Scott, walk away with 25% (worth about $36 billion) of his Amazon shares. Bezos also donated some of his shares in November 2020 that totaled to about $680 million. This comes as Tesla, which produced over 500,000 cars last year, shipped and sold just under 370,000 units in all of 2020. In spite of this, Tesla shares have surged 743% last year.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Multiplayer sandbox/game dev sensation Roblox has raised $520 million in its most recent Series H funding rounds, led by investors Altimeter Capital and Dragoneer Investment Group. Other well-known companies like Warner Music Group and the Investment Group of Santa Barbara also participated in this round. This news comes in the wake of Roblox Corp. filing the paperwork to go public with an initial public offering (IPO) back in November. The company has since decided to opt for a direct listing instead of the IPO.For those unfamiliar with the workings of business investment and capital, companies often go through multiple series of funding rounds as they grow and progress. When a company needs more funding to get to the next level of its business, it undergoes a valuation that takes several factors into account including the company's management, market size, risk, and proven track record. Each round usually has a different purpose, with Series A being focused on optimizing a company's user base and product, and each ensuing Series focusing on a different aspect of the company's growth and development. In its Series H funding valuation, Roblox was valued at $29.5 billion, with its stock at a purchase price of $45 per share. According to a statement on the Roblox site, this additional funding will be used to "advance Roblox's growth initiatives and mission to build a human co-experience platform that enables shared experiences among billions of users." Roblox, like Fortnite, has become more than just an online game. Between player-created content and in-game concerts featuring artists like Lil Nas X, it has become its own huge online platform.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Sony's Bravia XR TVs in 2020 were marketed alongside the company's PlayStation 5, despite a range of them failing to support many of the new HDMI 2.1 features that the console shipped with. In 2021, Sony has learnt from that mistake, announcing its latest range of Bravia TVs ahead of CES next week.Irrespective of which of the new Bravia sets you purchase in 2021, every single model will support the full suite of HDMI 2.1 feature out of the box; no future firmware updates required. This goes for the new premium Z9J Master Series 8K down to the X90J 4K. This includes Variable Refresh Rate, eARC, 120Hz support at 4K, and more. Additionally, the entire range will support Dolby Vision HDR.Unlike Samsung, Sony isn't drastically changing its display technology in 2021. The range of new sets still consists of a mix between OLED and LCD panels, with the Master Series Z9J 8K, A90J 4K, and A80J 4K range making use of the former. LCD sets will benefit from more local dimming zones to reduce blooming, especially with HDR content, but Sony hasn't specified exactly how many.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Fortnite saw the return of X-4 Stormwing planes with the Operation Snowdown holiday event. Despite that now being over, some of these planes are still available on the map, but a change compared to their original launch has rendered them far less attractiveThey no longer have infinite fuel. They, like cars and boats, have to get filled up at a gas station (or with a gas canister) after a short time behind the wheel. One boost in the plane eats nearly a quarter tank of gas.Me when I saw a stormwing again for the first time since Season 7: from r/FortNiteBR"I wouldn’t even mind the fueling so much if it was actually possible to land the damn plane at a gas station," said Redditor NickEggPlant in a thread about the planes. "The plane was actually fuel efficient instead of burning through a full tank in 30 seconds."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Although Netflix is no longer The Office's streaming home in the U.S. (that honor now belongs to Peacock), people sure got their mileage out of the popular sitcom's final days on Netflix according to the latest U.S. streaming numbers from Nielsen. The information, data, and measurement firm synonymous with TV ratings clocked the mockumentary sitcom about the fictional paper company in Scranton, Pennsylvania as a staggering 1.3 billion minutes for the period of December 7 to 13.This is, it should be noted, also the seventh instance of The Office taking the top spot since the company started charting streaming last summer. And given the relative lag time on these numbers being reported, it would be reasonable to expect The Office (on Netflix, anyway) continued to carry weight through to the end of December. The only spot on the top 10 not belonging to Netflix is the second place with another obvious entry: The Mandalorian, on Disney+, got nearly an even 1 billion minutes across the measured week in mid-December. With a massive amount of new Star Wars TV shows and movies making their way to Disney+ in the future, something Star Wars is likely to make repeat appearances on these Nielsen lists. Meanwhile, Schitt's Creek, which took the top spot in a recent ratings list, is still holding strong with 621 million minutes--ranking at 10 overall.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
