Looking cool as Spider-Man is one thing--Peter Parker is a dork, and the CGI does a lot of the work for Spidey in costume. But with a character like Nathan Drake, most of that responsibility falls on the actor. Tom Holland plays Drake in the upcoming Uncharted film, and talked in a new interview with GQ about getting distracted by his own coolness."As soon as you start worrying about 'Do I look good in this shot?' acting becomes something other than playing a character," Holland explained. "I think there are elements of my performance in Uncharted where I kind of fell under that spell of being 'I want to look good now. I want this to be my cool moment.' I had to play this very tough, very stoic guy--basically, be Mark Wahlberg."Holland admitted, however, that he hasn't yet seen the finished film, leaving what the lens captured up to our imaginations for the time being.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Playing Valheim with friends is the premier way to enjoy the viking survival game. To do that, you'll need to either create servers in the game so other players can join you, or join them in their servers. Valheim's menus can be a bit confusing to navigate, though, especially if you don't really know much about local hosting or dedicated servers. And even joining games can be a little wonky, requiring you to use Steam's menus to find servers using IP addresses.Check out the guide below for everything you need to know to set up your own servers or join someone else's in Valheim. It's also worth noting that if you're looking for new co-op viking friends, you can check the Community server list and join in with other people you don't know--although you should do so at your own risk, since you never know if your new friends might turn out to be griefers. It's also good practice to check for Discord servers to go with your Valheim servers so you can talk to other players. We've got even more Valheim coverage so be sure to check out our guides for upgrading your Workbench, crafting armor, hunting down Iron, and beating The Elder.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

South Park has released a quick 15-second promo video for its upcoming hour-long Vaccination Special, which will be premiering on Comedy Central on March 10 at 8 PM ET/7 PM CT. The special, which is a standalone episode that is not part of the still unannounced Season 24, will serve as a bookending counterpart to last year's Pandemic Special. Check out the clip below. As you can see in the video above, the long-running show is now calling itself South ParQ. Why? The episode's official logline reads: "The citizens of South ParQ are clamoring for the COVID-19 vaccine. A hilarious new militant group tries to stop the boys from getting their teacher vaccinated." That "hilarious new militant group" will, most likely, resemble the much-discussed conspiracy group QAnon, sometimes referred to only as "Q."South Park tends to be at its best when there are major events in the news ripe for satire--and even though the Pandemic Special only aired in September, there's been no shortage of emerging and twisted topics for the show to tackle.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Sony Japan Studio is winding down, according to a report from VGC. The studio that made Ape Escape, Knack, and Gravity Rush did not renew the contracts for a "vast majority" of its developers for the next financial year, which starts April 1, the report said. The site reported that Japan Studio's localization and business staff are staying on board, while the Asobi Team--which made the Astro Bot games--will exist within Sony Japan as a standalone studio. Some affected Japan Studio developers will take new positions at Asobi and others are joining former Japan Studio employee and Gravity Rush director Keiichiro Toyama's new Bokeh studio. The decision to wind down Japan Studio reportedly came down to money. Simply put, the studio wasn't profitable enough over recent years, the report said. Another reported reason was that PlayStation is now centralizing power to its US headquarters and away from Japan. The site also backed up a Bloomberg report from November 2020 that claimed PlayStation's studios in Japan were being "sidelined."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

A project codenamed "Gaia" from Star Wars Squadrons developer EA Motve Studios has been canceled after being in development for six years, according to a report by Bloomberg.Bloogberg cites "people familiar with the matter," who said Electronic Arts stopped development on Gaia before giving it an official title. Our last look at the game was during EA Play in June 2020, where the publisher showcased some footage while calling it a "highly ambitious, innovative new game that puts the power and creativity" in the player's hands.Bloomberg's report also charts the trajectory of Gaia's development, stating that Gaia was teased in 2015 when former Assassin's Creed 2 and Watch Dogs executive producer Jade Raymond opened the EA studio in Montreal in the same year. Motive went through some changes throughout the years--growing in staff following BioWare Montreal's shuttering in 2017, taking in creative leads from Star Wars Battlefront 2--before Gaia was rebooted in 2018.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Transmogrification is coming to Destiny 2 with its next content season, adding new cosmetic options for players to customize their characters in Bungie's MMO shooter. The previously announced feature is coming with a series of new systems and quality-of-life improvements when Season 14 launches on May 11.Bungie made the announcement in a huge blog post, where it detailed how we can expect transmogrification to work when it's added to the game. The new system will allow players to convert any piece of armor they own into a "universal ornament," which means any other piece of armor can be changed to look like the ornament without changing its other statistics. The new system is called Armor Synthesis, and using it will require a new currency called Synthesis Tokens you can either earn through gameplay or buy with premium currency.Ada-1, a Destiny 2 character introduced in Season 5 and removed from the game with "vaulted" content with the release of the Beyond Light expansion, is returning to serve as the Armor Synthesis vendor. You'll get bounties from Ada that allow you to earn Synthesis Tokens while playing the various other activities in Destiny 2.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Bungie is rebalancing several elements of Destiny 2's player-vs.-player mode in upcoming seasons, including the Stasis powers introduced in the Beyond Light expansion that have dominated the Crucible ever since. The developer says it'll be reworking Destiny 2 subclass powers in the near future to make them all more viable, while making a lot of other changes to PvP over the next few content seasons. The changes were outlined in a massive post Bungie published on its blog. First and foremost are its changes to the new Stasis abilities, which many in the player community have complained are too powerful and dominating in PvP situations. Bungie is adjusting several of those abilities to be less lethal to other players, while also fixing some bugs and other issues with Stasis that have made the subclasses not work as intended. In addition to changes to Stasis, Bungie says it's looking at changing the Light subclasses that existed in the game before the release of Beyond Light to make them more viable. The idea, Bungie said, is that it wants to achieve more of a balance between all the classes, while also making sure the emphasis in PvP stays on gunplay. Right now, players have complained that subclass abilities are too strong and overshadowing a lot of the bread-and-butter shooter gameplay at Destiny 2's core, and it sounds like this is a key part of what Bungie means to address.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
