The Atari 2600 is decades old, but a few industry pioneers aren't giving up on the system yet. Alongside ex-Activision game designers Garry and Dan Kitchen, Activision co-founder David Crane has formed Audacity Games to develop entirely new games on the console--and that's just the beginning.Audacity Games is a new publisher "focused on designing and publishing boxed game products for a variety of retro game systems," the company said in a press release. Players who haven't yet experienced the rebooted Tomb Raider trilogy will apparently be getting a new option very soon. Listed before being taken offline, the Tomb Raider Definitive Survivor Trilogy will bundle all three games together in one package.According to the Microsoft Store listing, which now gives you an error message, the bundle will be out on March 18. It contains Tomb Raider, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and Shadow of the Tomb Raider. More than 5,000 Final Fantasy 14 players likely woke up a few days ago to find their accounts had been banned. According to the development team, these players were engaged in real-money trading and advertisements, which could have ruined the game's balance.In a post on the game's official website, Square Enix said that 5,037 accounts were banned for participation in real-money trading and "other illicit activities," while another 814 were banned for advertising real-money trading.Players can submit a cheating report within the game client to help curb the problem, and they can also report advertisements to stop others from offering these services in the game. The United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has approved Microsoft Bethesda purchase, which will bring the publisher and all of its studios into the Xbox family. It was one of the last remaining roadblocks to the acquisition finally closing, but Bethesda isn't becoming part of Xbox just yet.The SEC published a "notice of effectiveness" for the transaction on its website this week. If you're not familiar with SEC filings, it doesn't exactly mean much on the surface, but this notice is used when the SEC accepts a company's registration. The "S-4" on the page means this is related to either a merger or an acquisition, and if you go to the related documents for this notice, it lists Microsoft's registration amount as being $7.5 billion. The Nintendo Switch has been a massive success for Nintendo, and it came in the wake of one of the company's biggest failures. Activision has said that Warzone will be the connective tissue that ties together the annual premium Call of Duty releases. So you can expect CoD 2021 to have crossover content with Warzone, with the likely bet being that weapons from CoD 2021 will come to Warzone to mix up the flavor and add a new meta. This integration did not go so smoothly with Black Ops Cold War in December, but this was an unprecedented shift, and some teething issues were always expected. Overall, however, Call of Duty is in a great place today with unified progression across Warzone and Black Ops (and later CoD 2021), free multiplayer maps, and near-constant updates and patches that change the meta regularly.On an earnings call, Activision management said CoD 2021 is not projected to sell as well as the previous premium release, Black Ops Cold War. Grand Theft Auto Online has been hugely popular for Rockstar Games and parent company Take-Two, but the game is missing one feature that has found its way into a lot of other multiplayer games: cross-play. If you're on Xbox One, you can only play with other Xbox One players, and the same goes for those on PC and PS4. But will GTA Online get cross-play, and if not, what reasons could be holding it back?Why doesn't GTA Online have cross-play?As we mentioned, as of now, GTA Online does not feature cross-play. Unlike games like Call of Duty: Warzone and Fortnite, you can't play with someone on another platform. Initially, this likely had to do with what was standard when the game launched in late 2013. Cross-play was basically unheard of, with platforms locked down. That didn't really change until 2018, which was well after GTA Online had come to current-gen systems and PC.Will GTA Online ever get cross-play?Rockstar has not announced this feature yet, but Grand Theft Auto 5 will be coming to the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S later this year. When you think about playing Minecraft, or more specifically, the Minecraft Dungeons spinoff game, you're probably picturing a PC or a console next to a couch. Mojang and Play Mechanix have something else in mind with Minecraft Dungeons Arcade, a full-fledged arcade cabinet designed to run a custom version of the game. A new live-action movie based on the acclaimed manga and anime Hellsing is in development at Amazon. Deadline reports that the film will be adapted by John Wick writer Derek Kolstad.Hellsing was created by Kouta Hirano and is a retelling of the Dracula myth, in which the iconic vampire is reimagined as a special agent who works for the Hellsing Organization and helps protect England from a variety of supernatural threats. The manga ran from 1997 to 2008, while an anime series was produced in 2001. In the US, it was broadcast by Adult Swim in 2014.There's no word yet on casting or a director for the Hellsing movie. ASUS may have accidentally leaked the existence of a fourth Nvidia GPU set to release for laptops, listing the unannounced RTX 3050 Ti as an option for one of its upcoming laptops.The product listing for the ASUS TUF Dash F15, spotted by Videocardz, lists configurations featuring two RTX models already available for laptops, namely the RTX 3060 and RTX 3070. It's another month to look at which games saw the biggest number of downloads on PlayStation consoles in the US and Canada, and unsurprisingly Grand Theft Auto V continues to dominate the top 20 list on PS4. Even with publisher Take-Two Interactive admitting that GTA V has begun to reach a point of oversaturation, it still finds itself at the top of charts regularly and January was no exception.The PS4 chart saw very little change in its most-downloaded hierarchy. Netflix has released the first official trailer for Lupin Part 2, the final five episodes that will complete Season 1 of the series that debuted back in January.
