Best Buy is celebrating April Fools' Day by having its own silly sale, which we'll call April Pools' Day. The entertainment retailer is offering up deep discounts on the various Deadpool movies. Sure, there are technically only two Deadpool movies, but there are various releases of both of them.Aside from the home releases of the theatrical cuts of the 2016 film and its 2018 sequel, there are two other notable versions of Deadpool 2. First is Once Upon a Deadpool, the PG-13 version of the movie. Because Deadpool 2 is a rated R movie due to violence and language, this version is cleaned up a little bit. However, it features Deadpool reading the story of the film to Fred Savage to add a little bit more time to the movie. Yes, it's the exact same framing device as The Princess Bride--because that was on purpose. Finally, there's the extended cut of the movie or The Super Duper Cut. Obviously, this is a longer version of the movie adding 15 more minutes of jokes and violence you didn't get to see in the theatrical cut. While this version of the movie may not add a lot to the plot or story, it's definitely a must-have for fans of the franchise.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Developer Team Ninja, after announcing the Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection in a February 2021 Nintendo Direct presentation, has clarified why two particular entries in the franchise couldn't be remastered. It all boils down to the inability to "salvage the varying assortment of data" the studio left behind. When asked in a GameSpot interview whether Team Ninja had considered updating Ninja Gaiden 2 and Ninja Gaiden Black, producer Fumihiko Yasuda said the studio couldn't recover both games' data. Sigma and Sigma 2 were chosen for the Master Collection because Team Ninja had collected and organized their source codes."We did consider it, but we were unable to salvage the varying assortment of data we had left from Ninja Gaiden Black and Ninja Gaiden 2," Yasuda said. "However, when we worked on Sigma and Sigma 2, we went and collected as much of that data as possible and organized it. And since we could fully utilize this data, Sigma and Sigma 2 became clear choices for [the Master Collection]."Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

CW's live-action adaptation of the Cartoon Network's Powerpuff Girls series is gearing up for its pilot, and that means tons of casting news. The latest actor to join the cast is Nicholas Podany The Cursed Child), who will play the live-action version of frequent Powerpuff foe Mojo Jojo, Variety reports.Podany will play the part of Joseph "Jojo" Mondel Jr., who Variety says was a "nerdy, power-hungry, insecure" kid obsessed with the Powerpuff Girls. Interestingly, there's no word on whether Podany will be getting into a chimp costume for the series or if he'll be simply playing a villain with the same name. By giving him a full name, though, the writers seem to be taking a page from the Jojo's Bizarre Adventure anime, which gives characters names like "Joseph Joestar" and "Kujo Jotaro" and shortens them to "JoJo." It also seems to suggest that he'll be playing the character as human, but that's pure speculation. He could wear some chimp-themed prosthetics, or be all CGI like The Flash's Gorilla Grodd. The previously-announced cast includes Chloe Bennett (Agents of Shield), Dove Cameron, and Yana Perrault as Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup. Donald Faison (Scrubs) will play the part of Powerpuff creator Professor Utonium. The show, titled Powerpuff, will follow the now-grown Powerpuff Girls as they contend with losing their childhood to crime fighting and try to navigate relationships in the wake of that trauma. Of course, something will happen that forces the trio to re-unite.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Navigating YouTube's rules for monetization can be a big headache for content creators, but YouTube is expanding its policies for profanity and sensitive content.Previously, YouTube allowed for light profanity like "hell" or "damn" in monetized videos. Now, though, YouTube will allow moderate profanity like "s**t" and "b**ch" in the first 30 seconds of a video, as well as infrequent strong profanity and censored profanity (the f-word, etc.) further into the video. In addition to expanded allowances for profanity, YouTube will let content creators monetize videos about "recreational drugs and drug-related content," "documentary or news content that may include violent interactions with law enforcement," and "controversial issues where non-graphic, objective discussions of controversial issues are in the video." Creators will also be able to monetize more videos that feature adult themes "delivered through the context of humor," such as romance and dating jokes. The site also provided more specific examples for content that still cannot be monetized, including Adult content, harmful or dangerous acts, and firearms-related content.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Outriders is a game that isn't defined by big new ideas, but rather a variety of familiar elements mixed together in experimental ways. It's a role-playing game with loot-shooter elements; it's a serious, dark sci-fi outing with a big dose of goofiness and humor; it's a cover shooter that demands you rush out and smash enemies with your ludicrously lethal magic powers. Whether this mixture works for you will determine how much you'll enjoy exploring the war-torn planet of Enoch and the last desperate vestige of humanity clinging to life there.Outriders blends well-known video game elements into something new and challenging, and while it takes itself seriously, it isn't self-serious. The world of Enoch seems huge and strange, and while the game is literally about the last gasp of the human race that has ripped itself apart, its heavy themes are always lightened up by a general blockbuster goofiness and characters defined by their gallows humor. Your place within it is as an accidental superbeing with space magic powers, and you're mostly just annoyed that irritating people are wasting your time with their gopher chores. It's a fun, self-aware fit.Though Outriders looks like a live game of the loot-shooter persuasion, it's actually much more Mass Effect 3 than Destiny 2--like Mass Effect, RPG progression and cover-shooting are more the engine of the game than chasing the next new gun. Outriders is, in fact, a cover-shooter RPG with a hearty dose of gear progression, leaning heavily into an epic story told with tons of dialogue, cutscenes, character interactions, and collectible lore.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

On April 6, Sony has a new slate of free PlayStation Plus games to download, and all three of them can be played on PS5. This is going to be another impressive month for the service, particularly if you only have a PS4, with both Days Gone and Zombie Army 4: Dead War available to download. Additionally, the PS5 version of Oddworld: Soulstorm will be available for free the same day it launches. Most launch-day freebies from the service have been multiplayer games with viral potential, so having a single-player, story-based game for free on release day is a nice treat. Playable on both PS4 and PS5, Days Gone is a post-apocalyptic open-world game set in the Pacific Northwest, and its standout feature is the sheer number of enemies it throws at you. The game allows for customization in both your gear and your play-style, and you'll have to face off against both human and formerly human opponents. Oh, and there are zombie bears, if things weren't tough enough.Zombie Army 4: Dead War is also playable on both consoles and is the latest spin-off game from the makers of Sniper Elite. Playable between one and four players, it's a unique spin on the "Nazi Zombies" style that we've seen from some other franchises, keeping the signature Sniper Elite long-range gunplay intact. It also has more occult elements than some other zombie games, adding to its spookiness.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com

Activision has not forgotten about 2019's Modern Warfare. With very little fanfare, developer Infinity Ward added a new map, Killhouse, to the game's multiplayer element, along with two others to give the game some extra juice after some players complained it was forgotten. There is also a Killhouse 24/7 playlist that players can jump into to play the map constantly. Eurogamer, which confirmed the inclusion of the Killhouse map, also reported that Al-Raab Airbase and Drainage have been introduced to Modern Warfare.Killhouse is the most notable of the bunch, as it's a fan-favorite map that originally made its Call of Duty debut in the original Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare back in 2007.Continue Reading at GameSpotInfo from Gamespot.com
